The epic food porn thread

Haha I sent out 7 packs already and have had my gf send spices and stuff lots of times when I'm out of town.

She thinks it's hilarious that other people love limited ed stuff as much as me

The AM Hookup is real.....
I may have to hit you up for Apple Pie Oreo's .. Looks like my target may not pick them up.

Bahaha my gf calls me weird every time.

When I told her fireworks Oreos came out in Canada she bought them for me next day - true love lol

Peppino's Calzone and a deep dish pizza to split. Can't get enough pizza. Lol

Got some stuff that caught my eye AT Wal Mart while shopping. I actually enjoy candy corn so I'm hoping for the best on these.

The heshey candy corn bars are $$ too. Those are a good M&M..They are similar to the white pumpkin pie I got but with a candy corn aftertaste.

the pecan pie mehhh not very good and that fit crunch is weak one of their worst IMO
Oh yeah one is king of bday cake

Oh, geez. Well, in the coming shopping trips, I will try the others. Wal Mart had 4 different flavors, I believe, so I will get a feel for the Fit Crunch line. These things are bricks in a good way. I'm excited to get my teeth into that texture.

Just get PB.. thats all you need. You won't ever eat another PB bar again.

Agreed on the m&m's for sure. Cc is top 3 all time.

For the fit crunch tho I actually love the bday bar. Thought the pb was just average tho after all the hype. Disappointment for me (tho I have yet to find a truly great pb bar - sick of all of them being half chocolate).

Have you had the One bar PB pie?

Candy corn M&Ms best CC item ...oh wait the Hershey bar lol
I think Bday and PB Fitcrunch are fairly close. I like the peanut butter grenade for best pb bar.

Oh forgot about cinnamon roll ...yeah that's tops

This is the one I have yet to try... for whatever reason I never seem to stumble across it at the normal places. might have to make a special trip for it...

It's a regular chocolate shell and will have a marshmallow cream instead of a sweet cream.

Boring ......

looks like there's multiple creme layers, a chocolate and a marshmallow... If the chocolate is different enough (or able to be differentiated from the cookie), yeah it could be solid... doubt it will, but the hot choc chips ahoy were actually great so there's precedence for simple still being "special"

Yep the CA version was solid...microwaved for a few seconds too

we were already on the same page. Markie devo who got the pic said it's just a marshmallow cream center not dual flavored

Imma just get this instead of hot cocoa Oreos

I was just gonna drink a hot cocoa and dip every other flavor oreo in it haha... maybe even a rice krispy one (think I might still have a pack stashed...)

Nabisco Peanut Butter & Jelly Oreo's
Invalid Link Removed

This oreo features a golden shell, peanut butter and jelly cream filled center (split 50/50). The golden shell is the normal shell used on a majority of their limited edition flavors and off some of the OG oreo cookies. The golden shell was the right pick here because a chocolate shell would not of combined well with the jelly filling. The peanut butter is dense, but no where near the flavor or replica of real peanut butter. It has the creamy consistency of the sweet cream, but has a lack of saltiness. The jelly is a nice compliment to the peanut butter. If you had the Jelly Donut oreo's this features the same raspberry cream, but with just more jelly then a small dab in the center. If you are a PB&J fan these are a must have. I place this top 3 on my all-time oero list behind Fruity Crisp & Reese PB.
.
Rating: 9/10.. The best LE flavor of Oreo's this year.

I hate most of the LE Oreos, I felt I got robbed. I'll give these a try thanks ;)

I agree most of them are busts. Basically one small minor change on nabisco's part and relabel it. Most of the time what they are featuring is either over powdered by the shell or lack of flavor in the new addition

Looking forward to the cookie butter and apple pie tho

I may not be of sound mind due to eating roughly 23g of net carbs per day (and anything sweet tasting fantastic), but I found this to be very good. I ate half of the bar and saved the other half for the next day.

The bar itself was firm and crispy like a baked cookie. The frosting on the outside was quite thin and soft, melting somewhat quickly from your hand's warmth. In terms of flavor, the bar inside had a slight birthday cake taste. It wasn't very powerful but it was there. Most of the flavor came from the sweet frosting on the outside and the two flavors blended well, in my opinion. There were also some colorful... candy balls(?) inside, similar to what you'd see on a confetti cake.

It didn't change the world for me but I genuinely enjoyed it. It was worth the money and I'd get it again. I look forward to trying the rest of the Fit Crunch line, especially the PB bar.

Have u guys tried the QUEST HERO bars?
dude, I gave up on Quest ages ago when I had to deal with their nasty stevia aftertaste..but then this comes out! I'm floored. Allulose fools me. It's so close to the real thing and the texture of the bar is amazing. The blueberry cobbler is fantastic. Talked to others in the gym and they seemed to love it to.

I recommend giving it a try, seems best protein bar I've ever had. I've had a few dozen brands and hundreds of flavors.

What do you all think of the Hero bars?

I haven't tried Robert Irvines yet, so I hope to find those soon.

There is a whole thread on protein bar reviews

Protein bars are far from "epic" food

Vanilla > blueberry > chocolate IMO
PB Fitcrunch and cinnamon twist are still GOAT

Sorry! I'd find a chocolate chip on the floor pretty epic right now. I accept the blame, Kurono. But shame on you for following my lead. No one should ever follow my lead on anything! Lol. (I will post my protein bar experiences elsewhere)

Apparently applied pie Oreos are out in Canada Driven2lift

Usually have a flurry of reviews from US that are never that good but now I'm tempted :(

These are supposedly out in Australia. I wouldn't mind seeing them in the US.

MARTY: Lol, I'm off of Keto from a few weeks ago, and reverse transitioning to a normal macro diet. Man, that Keto I was on for 2 months and had been to the doctor several times for all kinds of ****. I had Keto rash (thought that was a myth) I had dizzy spells, NO ENERGY even after 2 mos of adaptation, depression, very low morning cortisol, rapid pulse , oral thrush , hypoglycemic range blood sugar (all of this tested at doctor) horrible brain fog and to top it all off, weight loss wasn't any faster than any other regular macro plan I've been on.

But then again I've got thyroid disease, so it only aggravated it.
Good luck on keto man! XD No more for me. I'll just stick it out long term.

Back to the choco covered oreos!!

That's because he sold his soul to a low carb/keto diet ..

Is your name Marty? If so...we just became brothers

You guys tasted any OFF-Brand Twinkies alternatives? I just had some a few weeks back and thought they were too sweet that the actual flavor of the food was masked. If u you all know of anything with like more flavor, 20% less sweet tasting that'd be great!

I immediately regretted using my real name as my user name and don't think I can change it. Haha. Yeah, my name is Marty...

I'm glad you got off of it since it was affecting you that badly. I only do it for a couple months at a time. I respect those who do it permanently. I just find it helps kickstart my cuts. I think carbs are fine if you eat responsibly and track your macros and cals. I have an unopened pack of blueberry pie Oreos, cinnamon bun Oreos, PB&J Oreos, and hopefully soon apple pie Oreos in my pantry. My wife has been fighting me for them but I don't went them to be stale before I get to eat one.

If you say those 2 words consecutively in this thread you could be perma-banned lol

Yea, same here. I figured I had adapted my metabolic rate too low so I have to go off. I think Keto is great for a tool, but surely not a lifestyle for me. I'm like never eat carbs? Sounds too fad like.
Great for phases tho. My best cuts were 50 carb (just out of Keto range) moderate fat and moderate proteins.
This was the 2nd time I've done keto (high fat, <20 carb, low protein) and surely I only lost muscle and still got a big gut, same as previous attempt in 2009.

LOL! Haha I bet I would.. It's too bad as I'm only one who thinks there's a such thing as "too much" in terms of taste balance. Apparently SOME foods at Costco don't follow the Too salty rule and some place in Vietnam I've been to has this ghost pepper challenge but u can't taste the food since its its obviously too spicy :P

Maybe I'll go look for some Twinkie recipes lol, that should taste more "3D" and not paper dimensional haha

Yeah some sweets are not balanced. Honestly twinkies are pretty crappy in the world of baked goods. Look into local bakeries that make whoopie pies. More cream, more cake and usually less dry than twinkies OR good bundt cakes
