Hairygrandpas log, fat- and older people welcome!- diet, training, cycles, healing

Ol timer just keep rocking in the gym.. Get insane strong at fuack the rest

Was she behind you?? Maybe she just wanted to watch you walk up the stairs! We all remember the picture of your a$$ that you posted in the Macyyy thread!

Sh1t, the internet remembers everything. I saw the movie "Snowden". My butt-pic hangs now in every NSA office.

Glad the weights are going up and your shoulder is staying stable! Always throw up nudez to compare to your future nudez, nudez make the world go around(that's an actual fact, Bill Nye told me so)!

These two exercises were impossible for the last 8 month due to knee and shoulder injury:
assisted dips -100lbs x20
Dips BW 220lbs:
12/12/12
Deadlift amrap: 265lbs
8/8/8

-no pain perceived, great! Today a glass of wine for celebration, does not look like much to others -for me its awesome:
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Regular stuff:

Bent over row BB:
225lbs x8/8

Inverted row BW, holding 2 sec on top:
15/12/12

Inclined abs with 10lbs medicine ball:
31/20

Inclined chest press machine:
160lbs x9
140 lbs x9

Flat DB hex press
2x75lbs x 11/8

linear leg press 400lbs

21's two sets

Leg kickback machine 110lbs
21's two sets

Nice workout HGP! I bet you were loving reintroducing those! Weighted Dips are some of my favorite exercises but I can't do them right now. Deadlifts, forget about it, once you get the bug on them you never want to lose them. They do so much for the entire body!

Will start weighted dips in two weeks, once I got a feel for them. I may skip heavy deadlifts, not going over 400lbs. My knees got better but I don't want to exaggerate things.

Not a whole lot of reason to go over 400 unless working purely for strength. You get to where you can do 15 reps with 405 and you are one STRONG BASTARD, and will have the muscle to show for it! Although Deadlifting should be WAY easier on your knees than squatting or leg pressing.

LOL 15 reps at 405. In my dreams:

Lets see how far I can go.

If you can do it a couple times you then you can get to where you can do it 15 times I am sure. May take a year or two but definitely a feasible goal.

I'm very stubborn. If you say "a year or two", watch me, it will be by the end of this year! Muhahaha!

How many times do you think you could rep it now if you tried? I don't think it unrealistic to think you can add a rep every 2-4 weeks. Obviously it will get longer the closer you get toward your strength limits, but if you aren't close you could gain 2-5 reps in just a month or so of focusing on it.

Could rep 400 for 2, then go into a fetal position, having convulsions and suck my thumb. :)

Rethinking it, my goal should be 10 reps of 400lbs (here we have kg plates, 8x 20kg plates + bar = 180kg = 397lbs) by the end of the year.

Maybe do an AMRAP set for a week to see where you're at.

What worries me most is that I can't drop the bar (gym rules), have to lower it down slowly. My goal will be 10x AMRAP.
You should always be in control of the bar on the way down. Especially if you are going to do more than one rep. Not being in control is an easy way to pull something in your back especially during touch and go dead lifts. However it does make it harder that you can not do touch and go. People don't realize they get an inch or so of rebound out of the touch and go, so they kind of end up like a partial. Setting up and getting tight before each rep is the best and safest way to do deadlifts. To help you avoid injury and also account for the fact you have to set it down under control why not aim for a cluster set of 10 with 10 seconds rest between each rep. Allows you time to stand up, inhale and exhale deeply once or twice, maybe shake your wrists out and then drop in the bucket and grip it and rip it!

I like it! Will do it that way, 10 sec pause sounds good!

yesterday

Arms and shoulders.
Felt unmotivated, bloated and weak. Pushed through and got a mediocre workout done.
Thinking of repeating that workout today even though its "off day".

Dropped the Telmisartan to see if BP is stable. Upped 1-andro to 440mg/day and Anavar to 70mg/day, Test is at 200mg week.

So why is everyone yapping that over 330mg of 1andro is a waste.....if I would've only known.....;)

unmotivated SUCKS! you better get your fat ass back to the gym today!

Its not clear if I reached the threshold. Maybe those 110mg more make me suddenly huge, lean and straighten my curved penis out.
So far strength gains are notable -no idea if its the 1-andro or anavar.

Remember that this "lifting life" is a journey and a series of goals. The first goal is health. Hang in there brother.

Gentlemen, Have a look at this article and it will explain a bit. I will say that they are jumping to conclusions that are not actually stated...

First it is interesting in this one at least that they immediately mention HiTech having the right mix... So one can probably assume that HiTech was somehow related to this article. However the article discusses that there is most likely a point where the 5AR enzymes will all be used and there is nothing left to break it down into the target hormone. Okay that makes sense. Then they go on to cite a study on 1-Andro that used 330mg a day and got the same results as a person running 300mg of testosterone enanthate.

So basically someone or many someones decided to take correlation as causation and state that since it was this study they chose to site that 330mg must be that limit... The only way to find that is to increase the dose again in another study and see when the gains per mg begin to lose efficiency... It is also going to be different for each individual.

It needs a long time to kick in, upping the dosage and feel if its still converted by the body, can not be done, IMHO.
BTW, its expensive too.

What I like about 1-andro is its low toxicity. Not many orals are like that.

Watch those AMRAP deadlifts, definitely not a workout to go to failure with. Love the intensity! Does all that intensity mess with you sleep?

Looks like you tore it up!! How sore are you gonna be?

Hopefully not much, tomorrow is "torture day" again, with focus on arms.

As you can see, I'm going back to basics. Body weight stuff, compound exercises, high volume, short pauses.
I'm glad I kept this log going to check.
Was looking at pics from when I did this regime. Guess what, the high volume - moderate weights work best for me. Had a better physique back then.
Going full retard again, from now on, instead of moving ridiculous weights for a couple of sets -risking injury.

I'm careful and really digging form when doing deads.
My body responds best to that sort of torture, I'm 100% sure now, no sleep problems in the past, don't know whats gonna happen after restarting this regime.

I'm sure it'll be fine as long as you listen to your body, with all that intensity I'm surprised it didn't effect your CNS too much, but also the anabolic as may help with CNS recovery. Do they?

HIT4ME is the culprit who said: "Less is more, because Mentzer this -and Mentzer that."

Well, not for me.
I think its because what I did when young.
All was centered around endurance and stamina. 14 years Karate, 3 years Judo and a couple of years Olympic gymnastic. Almost exclusively body weight exercises. I may have somehow "turned those endurance genes on" in my youth, benefiting from it even now.

I always said: "Watch a gymnast, he almost never moves heavy iron and has an awesome physique." Today, look at the calisthenics dudes and tell me how they look.

Ah ok I didn't know you did all that, that would definitely make sense and yea they do have awesome physiques.
