i think you mean 200:1...that means 200 kilos were used in the production of 1 final kilo.
1:200 would mean you have the most watered down extract imagined.

I've used at least two bulk tongkat ali powders that I enjoyed. One was the 2% extract from PC back when they were still around (RIP), and the other was a 100:1 from another bulk website. Both extracts were very bitter, which a quality tongkat ali extract should be, with the 2% extract seeming to be more biter than the 100:1 extract.

You won't find any specifics about the extract used in Viron except for Brundel claiming that it is the "highest possible quality and will always be the best EL available for any price."
Given BLR's reputation of quality, and having used Viron a few times, I have had no desire to experiment with anything else. Prior to this, another one that I really enjoyed in the past which is more of a blend, is Biotivia Bioforge. I have not purchased that ever since I tried Viron though.

What does 200:1 mean though? 200 points of what to 1 point of what.. in my experience with ratios, they are almost always a scam, unless the provider knows what its extracted for.

Bulk supps has recently changed their suppliers, and now the product does not seem as good. It is very powdery and does not have the right consistency or taste anymore. I actually sent a package back a few weeks ago after asking them and being told they switched. When you look at the reviews on amazon you can see that others feel the same.
I have had good luck with a company called "micro ingredients" lately also sells on Amazon, and is priced similarly. It is a 200:1 product and it has the right taste, and consistency. Results so far have been as you would expect.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Ideally, it probably should mean that there was 200 units of the raw material used for each 1 unit of the resulting extract. Of course, that doesn't men you're getting 200 times the active compound(s) you want, and a lot of stuff probably isn't even really 100-200:1. There are a lot of studies that do base doses on this "ratio" extract though, often listing the amount of material used and the amount of the resultant extract, often with a "yield" mentioned as a %. The extraction method is also important too, especially when, as you said, there is no real standardization, as some extraction methods are better than others for certain compounds and whatnot.

The second time I ordered LJ from Bulk Supps the powder had changed to a lighter off white color with a fluffier less dense texture compared to the first time I ordered which was a light brown/tan color with a much denser texture and higher density. The lighter off white powder I was only able to pack 600mg into a size 00 capsule vs 800mg for the brown/tan powder. The third time I ordered, the color was light brown/tan again and I was able to fit 800mg per 00 cap again. However when I compared the batch numbers from each order, 1st and 3rd order came from older batches while the second order came from a much newer batch. Do you know how recently they changed suppliers?
As for Micro Ingredients 200:1, how does it compare to the original 100:1 that Bulk Supps was selling? Which do you feel was more potent mg for mg. From the pictures that Micro Ingredients has, the color and consistency looks similar to the 1st and 3rd time I ordered from Bulk Supps.

Looks like they changed supply earlier this year or late last. If you read the reviews several people have complained since January. I last ordered a package in October 2016 which was good, and then decided to try the micro brand in Feb since it was a 200:1 ratio. I just tried the Bulk supps brand again in early May and it was garbage. Before that I had probably purchased the Bulk supps brand at least 5 times all good. I did send them a message telling them it was crap and I returned the product. It is a shame that they keep selling as I am sure they know it is a problem.
From my experience the original bulk supps and the current Micro Ingredient product seems to be about the same quality hence the reason I went back to it as it is bit cheaper.
For me the big giveaway on bulk supps changing was the consistency. One user referred to it as being almost like sawdust which I agree with. I take mine straight with a water chaser, so I am very aware as to how it should taste, and it was not the same. Was not nearly bitter enough and didn't feel any effects.
The micro ingredients has the stickiness, and bitter taste that it should have and so far has given me good results. Not sure how much you could pack into a capsule as I use a straw to take mine. It is very unscientific but it works for me, I stick the straw in so that the product packs the bottom of the straw equal to what i think is a large capsule worth, and then I tap the end of the straw so it falls out into my mouth, and chase with juice or water.... It is an acquired taste as now I like the taste since I equate it to the feeling of energy and results it gives. Would def give it a try as an alternative.

Tonvara Tongkat Ali is legit and I can bet you will love it !
Lab test showed almost 3% Eurycomanone which is one of main active Quassinoids responsible for many effects TA gives
