Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Serving Size Manufacture Discrepancy

Raleigh, North Carolina, April 28th 2017: Today we have confirmed with the manufacturer that the products Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Summer Pop Flavor (Lot 1005370) and Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Blackberry Lemonade Flavor (Lot 1005371) have a discrepancy between the serving size and the scoop size. The manufacturer made the mistake of putting a 16g scoop instead of the intended 8g scoop. The label says “Serving Size: 1 Scoop 8.55g”, the 8.55g is correct for a serving but the scoop size is wrong.

This initially was brought up when a customer emailed us two days ago saying they got 19 scoops out of a container. We measured the scoop size and it was about double the size it should have been. We emailed the manufacturer about this issue, and they confirmed today that it was indeed a mistake in their QA (quality assurance) department.

Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Serving Size Manufacture Discrepancy

Raleigh, North Carolina, April 28th 2017: Today we have confirmed with the manufacturer that the products Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Summer Pop Flavor (Lot 1005370) and Vein Nutrition Blood Shot Blackberry Lemonade Flavor (Lot 1005371) have a discrepancy between the serving size and the scoop size. The manufacturer made the mistake of putting a 16g scoop instead of the intended 8g scoop. The label says “Serving Size: 1 Scoop 8.55g”, the 8.55g is correct for a serving but the scoop size is wrong.

This initially was brought up when a customer emailed us two days ago saying they got 19 scoops out of a container. We measured the scoop size and it was about double the size it should have been. We emailed the manufacturer about this issue, and they confirmed today that it was indeed a mistake in their QA (quality assurance) department.

Moving forward, we are going to rectify this issue by the following:

1. Informing all customers who have bought or sampled affected products of the error in production and that 1 serving = ½ scoop ≈ 8.55g is the correct dosing for the label.
2. Sending all customers who have bought the affected product another tub of product to account for the fact that customers have purchased under the assumption that there are 30 scoops worth of product but only received 15 scoops worth of product. For example: If you bought two tubs of Blood Shot Blackberry Lemonade, we are automatically sending you two more tubs of Blood Shot Blackberry Lemonade free of charge. These product compensations will begin to roll out immediately. The product you will receive should be dosed according to 1 serving = ½ scoop ≈ 8.55g.
3. All remaining affected Blood Shot product, after compensation product has been sent, will be pulled from online and retail distribution.
4. The manufacturer we are currently using for the newest products and upcoming batches will be at a GMP certified facility. This is not the same manufacturer who made the current Blood Shot batches.
5. We will implement some basic QA policies at Vein Nutrition to double check our manufacturer has the correct specifications.

One of our core principles at Vein Nutrition is transparency. We come to you today with this release as soon as we discovered the discrepancy. We hope that our compensation is sufficient for our valued customers. We also acknowledge the potential dangers of a mislabeled product, especially as a brand who doses high. We want to emphasize it was a mistake by the manufacturer and not a purposeful action by Vein Nutrition or the manufacturer. But we also acknowledge that it would have been wise for us to double check our manufactured products. We are now doing the best and the quickest we can to address the issue and compensate customers accordingly. We will also do our best in the future to double check our manufacturer. In an ideal world, we would say that such an issue would never happen again. But we realize mistakes can and will be made, but we can assure you that we will work our hardest to fix mistakes.

We sincerely hope that you continue to shop with and support the Vein Nutrition brand and that we can move past this with grace and humility.

A great company that respects its costumers. I have ordered the original bloodshot and received an email about a replacement. Respect for doing it right.
 
wow...that means people were double dosing what is being touted as one of the strongest stimulant pre's available---oops!!!
 
Got the email, had that lot number. I love Bloodshot, I actually like the wrong serving size lol it's perfect. That Summer Popsicle flavor is outstanding. Def. one of my favorite pre's at the moment.

Always said 100+mg DMAA was the sweet spot...at least you can feel it in this formula (regardless of the serving size issue) unlike some other known pre's who say they have DMAA in them...cough, cough.

if this formula is as strong as it is touted as being i'm surprised no one is/was freaking out...if people were to accidently double dose something like mesomorph....

I was at one point 2.5 scooping Meso, no lie. Had to take a break. I honestly haven't had Meso since Tuitty Fruitty came out. Need to buy to compare.
I like Bloodshot alot, nice and clean feeling energy/focus.

dude...there is a difference in using 2.5 scoops intentionally, and unknowingly taking a double dose-think about it!!!!

Pretty sure he just means there is a difference between taking that amount of stims on purpose vs by mistake.

Are you referring to the placebo effect? If you take something (believing) it will effect you based on what you are told, you feel a certain effect, but if you are not privy or think it is anything special you will feel nothing.

There is a better answer for certain, and it has to do with a difference in formulation, and diminishing returns. Some people think 400mg of caffeine is a lot. It's roughly 4 cups of brewed coffee, but here is Alex's thoughts on the question asked in another discussion.

One of my reps actually brought up the idea of "hey, what if they actually mis-dosed it so that 1 scoop actually equals 1 serving that that it was 120mg/scoop they just did the dosing wrong?" This is very unlikely because we have 6.78g of active ingredient per serving, this would mean that if the manufacture did mess up like that they would have to put about 9.22g of inactive fillers in each scoop. If that's a little tough to follow, I can elaborate more. But adding 9.22g of filler per scoop would mean over 50% of the product is filler, which would have been easily tough in their spec sheet when doing the mixing, even after the fact.

Another point is that you have to consider that most legal ingredients have diminishing returns aka the dose respond is not directly proportional to dose and more of a "logarithmic" nature. This means if you take ingredient A and you feel B, then if you take 2x the amount of A you don't feel twice as B, if you take 4x the amount of A you won't necessarily feel 4x as B. Such an ingredient would actually be incredibly dangerous for abuse. Because of this going from 10mg DMAA to 130mg DMAA would more likely feel significant than going from 120mg DMAA to 240mg DMAA, even though both are increased by 120mg DMAA, the latter you're starting to reach that diminishing returns.

We've also seen responses and feedback all over the place after posting this press release. We're on a few other forums and people have ranged from saying they've taken it at 6pm and slept fine at night all the way to saying they were extremely jacked up and had really hard time sleeping. We've had people say "wow no wonder I feel like X, it's because it's a double serving!" to "it doesn't feel like a double serving of X" This is a testimony to the idea that I believe that different people have different body compositions and will react different to the same formulation.

Finally, another thing to keep in mind is that the higher dose of Noopept could be increasing your mental focus, fighting away some of the anxiety and jittery side affects from DMAA and caffeine and the eria jarensis may induce an euphoria that counteracts some of the less desired DMAA side effects as well. But you did mention you mixed and played around with DMAA for a long time, so again I don't mean to discredit your opinion.

Just a few factors to take into consideration. But if you truly feel like you've received an under-dosed product, we'll be happy to refund you. We'd do some 3rd party testing to verify, but there's of little value because we're going to be using a different manufacturer for the reformulation of this product.

this is one hell of a crappy mistake to make especially for a company that prides themselves on being hardcore. Congratulations from learning from your mistakes lets hope you don't actually kill anyone hey?

At least you guys owned it and are offering a pretty decent 'compensation' package. I think I would have died using that lol

You guys hit me up about this and thank you... or else I wouldn't have known I had been logging a double dose. Fortunately, I am not dead haha, but I will be taking a week off maybe more to give my body time to recover. I have no problem with the 400mg of caffeine, but the DMAA amounts scare me. This sucks because I was loving it (at double dose)

You need to calm down, and grow up.

Noone cares that you find the stim content enjoyable - there are plenty of people who could have wound up in some serious trouble from stim usage that high.

Just because you didn't have an issue, doesn't mean someone else will not.

Vein understands they made an error and the correction they are doing is above and beyond (props to them for that). As far as customer service, they are doing well to live up to their high standards.

Question is, do the company staff and reps use there own products, if so should they have not found the issue themselves? Or this was a "batch error"
