Do you really think he's going to be impeached? It seems that liberals have been saying he's going to be impeached since before he was even inaugurated, so I've come to take the "impeachment" talk with a grain or two of salt. Although, I have to admit that it's not only liberals who who cry "impeach," as I've seen conservatives saying the same thing for most of Obama's time in office.

I might agree with a lot of trumps policies...but I won't defend his morals.

actually there are VERY few politicians whose morals I would defend....as odd as it might be the president I hold responsible for many of today's problems is the one president whose morals I could defend-jimmy carter!!!

No. It would be a long shot at best, but one can hope he gets what he deserves. If enough people call for it, the Republicans would be forced to make him face the charges he should. The FBI investigation results alone should provide more answers for everyone, if it is permitted to continue with public hearings. Doesn't anyone find it odd those where shut down? I'd very much like to hear what the former Attorney General has to say.

If we're concerned with people "getting what they deserve," shouldn't most politicians, on both sides, be impeached? Also, what charges should he face? It seems like no matter who is President, the other side seems to think that EVERYTHING the POTUS does is somehow criminal and worthy of impeachment. We saw it with Obama constantly, and now we're seeing it with Trump. It's the "loser who cried impeach" IMO, and after hearing "impeach him, it's just a matter of time, he deserves it" for the past 8+ years, it's just hard to take it seriously. Don't you find half the stuff going on with our government/politicians "odd" at best?

About to say that, almost everyone in Washington has broken their constitutional oaths and should be impeached, many who have far far more significant crimes against humanity than the very tiny Dump has had the chance in a measly 100 days.

Seems like Reaganomics Part 2 to me, relying on "trickle-down" economics.

Seems to me that it equals:

-HUGE tax cuts to the rich and corporations

-TREMENDOUS amount of debt added to the deficit

-Middle class gets shafted, AGAIN.

If this is the case, it looks like he was in it for himself and his wealthy pals afterall. It's really too bad this country cant get a politician that stays true to his or her word. It would seem that we're a nation with a government based on smoke and mirrors to deceive the people.
 
Based on the outline today I support the new tax cuts, couples are tax free first $24,000 too so that's great news.

No income tax for everybody rich and poor is best though, but I'll take change rather than the current system.

Of course this is just a beginning it will turn to a clusterfuq and will be stripped down to side deals and so forth so I don't expect to hear what I heard today to be nearly the same at the end.

I need to see the full outline, I just saw huge cuts to corporations, which will lead to a huge deficit.

I saw something about 3 tax brackets for individuals instead of 6, but I didn't see more. I haven't looked at the news in an hour or so, so details may be trickling in (no pun intended ;)).

Yes they said 3 is the bracket but to be honest this is really really really ....... early.

They (GOP) say that they expect growth to hit 9%, which is unrealistic in my opinion. They say that this increase in growth will offset the deficit, LOL.

I need to look into the individual tax payer stuff. I know I also saw getting rid of itemized deductions. That's BS.

The problem with the GOP is that most are military industrial complex war mongerers just like democrats.

So in terms of deficits I don't see a positive outcome.

Agreed. I have to admit, I am leaning towards some of your perspectives say by day. No Alex Jones stuff, but the non intervention stuff :).

I'm getting real tired of seeing us destroy other countries :(. And that includes the things that Obama and Clinton did (both Clintons!).

You know I saw this Michael Moore film way back don't remember which one but.....he went to the Pentagon and it's completely surronded by buildings owned and operated by military contractors.

I say if Dump wants to start doing land grabs that's the place to start, I say tear them ALL down and turn it into public national parks or keep some or all of them to house homeless vets and other people in need. At a cost of a measly 1% of the defense budget they will be set for life.

Dump will only be dumping and shyttin on the American people though on this issue.

I make a deal....bring our troops home and shut down the hundreds of military bases around the globe and I'll fight for universal healthcare for all low income people. We will still also have a lot of surplus cash to do good things here and also help take us out of the deficit.

The employees would be keeping more of their income though....I mean a married couple has to pay 0% tax on their first 24k income. Also, they wouldnt be forced to buy insurance or face thousands of dollars in IRS penalties too which is another issue but a bonus.

ok, I can see you weren't a fan of reaganomics or trickle down...but the truth of the matter is that the 80's were very prosperous and jobs were easy to come by---actually wages are about the same today as they were then and have not kept up with cost of living by a large margin!!!

I was being absolutely serious, I truly believe that although our government has made terrible decisions around the globe, we have been a stabilizing force overall....my opinion is that without our presence the world would become much more unstable!!!

From that perspective (wont agree or disagree) when the money runs out the country collapses and we cant be around "saving" the world anymore,. We wont have the USA anymore. 20 trillion dollar deficit this country is dead broke and prints money out of thin air to pay for things and bail big corporations out. At some $600,000,000,000 a year in defense spending and some 55% of our overall budget and all the problems we have here where we cant even take care of our own, something at least needs to change on how interventionists handle this which Im sure you already would agree on.

If your tax rate goes down accordingly, it's a wash, no? Still get mortgage interest, charitable giving, and retirement contributions.

I remember a huge drop in the inflation, this by itself was in effect a pay raise for the American people-even without the lower tax rate...also Reagan increased military spending which resulted in the downfall of the soviet union.


Obama on the other hand ran the deficit up by a much more larger margin than Reagan, and what do we have to show for it?


on the whole I would take the trickle down days of the 80's over the high unemployment, stagnant wages and malcontent of American workers that the Obama years brought...with as much as Obama ran the deficit up, the average American worker has very little to show for it!!!
