What Are You Listening to (Spring 2016)?

When Darkness Falls and Unbroken come to mind as non-love songs. My Curse, though, totally through me for a loop when I actually listened to the lyrics. Good choices!

Check out off the new album --> Quiet Distress, Strength of the Mind, Loyalty
all good ones.

Dude, WTF is Howard? haha

You call yourself a killswitch fan and you don't know who Howard is?
Thats the singer who replaced jesse for a short period of time (Howard Jones)
Jesse is the original singer who is now back with the band.

Pretty much every Led Zep song is amazing, I wish we had bands like that again...

yup...like I used to say to my son when he told me all I listened to was 'old' stuff---tell me what band you are listening to today that will still be popular 40+ years from now????

Most new music really is poop to be quite frank. I find craziness in those that do happen to mock Zep as a favorite band. How can you be so dense? CCR, Floyd, Petty, The Doors, Cream, the list goes on and on!

The ears like what they like. Those are all great bands and I love them too, but for me Zep is what got me to pick up the guitar! I love Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker, John Petrucci, Jimi Hendrix, and that list goes on... those are all musical geniuses too but they don't get appreciated enough, well maybe Hendrix.

^^^ Dave Mustane has some incredible guitar solo's from In Flames

speaking of led zeppelin...I found this 2 disc 'best of' called mothership in the bargain bin at wallmart for 5 bucks, will be listening this summer on my old sony Walkman while mowing....by the way, the sound from my old school Walkman beats the hell out of mp3 players!!! but not nearly as good as my garrard turntable-but then again I can't carry a turntable and bose speakers on my bad boy mower!!!

You just aren't trying hard enough to set that up. :)

I could actually see mounting bose 901 speakers to my mower, but the turntable presents a multitude of problems, lol.....not that I would ever put my pristine 1978 bose 901's at risk like that!!!

Oh yeah.. I have seen COB twice. Actually in back to back nights. They played with In Flames & Megadeth in Cleveland, then the following night solo in pittsburgh. Alexi threw up both times, and their keyboardist grabbed about 20 bra's for the front of his keyboard. Ill have to upload the pic on here for you of their backdrop. It was absolutely SICK

I often go back to the late 60's the 70's... some 80's, but the 70's was filled with the greatest that has yet to be surpassed in so many ways. My favorite movie sound track is from Guardians of the Galaxy I & II. That tells you something. Ha.

Favorite Song
Rude Mood Montreaux Live (He was pissed at some dude in the audience and it showed)
I can't find the video of the beginning of him tuning up, but it was apparent. Just double-timed it.

Best one on Youtube I could find, but I have the original downloaded with the tune-up.
