BPS Continues the Challenge!!!!

Got two challenges in today 95lb strait bar curl for 23 and 40lb hammer curl for 40.. realized you couldn't see the weight on the strait bar so made sure you could see it at the end ... Studhorse thorsdad31 Invalid Link RemovedInvalid Link Removed


They aren't the cleanest or most strict reps but I don't think they were to bad ..

I didn't say anything about clean or strict way to get it bro

What that guy is making an attempt to do is a rear delt row. It's supposed to done like reverse dips. Lean forward a bit more and use your back and rear delts to pull the weight up. It's brutal. I'm not sure what he's doing though.

Guys, I apologize for my absence, but work has been ridiculously tiring. I had every intention on being on here yesterday and getting caught up, but its pledge week on campus and we rolled our SSEs off for 24 straight hours. I will be in the bed today, for most if the day...but randomly pick 2 winners tomorrow. Are you guys good with continuing these challenges? Because I think it's awesome and I couldnt be prouder of you all for coming through, even some if you guys who say you cant do certain things, are making the attempt, and Thats what I wanted. For you guys to not only push yourselves, but each other to build some camaraderie!! Love you guys

Skull candy hesh .. I had beats but snapped them In Half a few weeks ago .. the middle of these is all rubber so no chance of them snapping..

Now that the big boys are here, let me just drop a challenge for us mere mortals

120 measley lbs. Pull downs.
But sitting backwards so you get no leg leverage and can't use your weight to lean back and pull it down.

Thanks bros. I'm going to make the challenge a little fairer given the fact that I weigh ~242-245. Ill just make he challenge 1.8xbw deadlift for an amrap. So thats 335 for ~185lb guys, 405 for ~225lb, etc.

Love the way you calmly just walk it over to the rack when you're done!

Lol! I hate taking plates off when the bar is on the ground so I just endure the extra little bit of suck and walk it back to make unloading easier.

Btw, thats a great idea doing the pulldowns like that to cut out cheat reps.

Got a few guys at the gym I can show this too. I try to help them but when you cant do a Deadlift anylonger its hard to show them.

Thanks man. With that being said, one thing id like to mention if you are going to use it for form instruction is that I need to keep my weight back better to try and keep my shoulders above or behind the bar in the starting position. As you can sort of see off the floor my arms are angled slightly backward vs being straight down. The deadlift is all about creating the most efficient lever/wedge between your shoulders, hips, and feet.

I saw that but it is close and hard to keep the shoulders straight above the bar looking in a mirror in front of you.
I use to rake my shins too much, and one time I was looking in a mirror to the side of me and got this nasty ass crick in my neck. never looked to the side again. lol

Haha thats a tough way to learn. Fortunately, ive had many people tell me that same thing happened to them so i always avoid doing that. I generally hate how gyms have so many mirrors in them anyway and typically hang up a mat over the crossbar in front of the mirror so I'm not even tempted to look in it. Gotta keep that chin tucked (which i did a rather poor job of today).

I think I'm out of this challenge I workout at home and don't have enough weight I way 289 lbs x 1.8 if my calculations are correct that would be 520lb deads sounds fun tho
