Need aswaghanda that is easy on the stomach

I've used aswaghanda before and while it worked, it also made my stomach very upset. I suffer from GERD and I was told awhile ago on this forum about a form of Aswaghanda that is easy on the stomach, but I do not remember what thread it was, so I'm making this thread.

KSM-66 is a trademark most brands will have the same one but as always go with a reputable brand, you can buy straight bulk powders or as stated go with a reputable brand, you can even grab a good brand from Amazon for pretty cheap.

Any recommend brands, or sites?

I always go with Jarrow or Swanson for my KSM-66. You can get them online for relatively cheap. There are also quite a few products out on the market that contain KSM-66. Are there any other supplements you use, or goals you're looking to achieve?

I'm trying to lower my anxiety in an attempt to raise test, or at the very least not be stressed all the time. My cortisol is at 22.2 out of 26 and when my blood was drawn I actually didn't feel stressed. I take a multi, magnesium citrate, zinc and vitamin D3. I have Clomid here, but I took it once 12mg and got a headache but that may have not been from the Clomid itself. I am staying clear of clomid until my deviated septum is fixed, because my hematocrit is too high and so is my red blood cell count. I need to call a new ENT Monday.

Ashwaganda is a great start, KSM-66 has direct correlation to raising free test levels as well, in response to the lowering cortisol levels.

Also look into holy basil, rhodiola and Maca, some great adaptogens and hormone balancing properties within in these 3. With Abby of these 4 producers you should get exactly what you're looking for man, good luck.

Thanks bud. Some adaptogens, like Ginseng I can't take because for whatever reason they make my face feel like it's burning up. My blood pressure runs slightly high(probably due to anxiety) and I don't want to give up coffee(only two cups a day though), so I didn't want to take rhodiola. Also, I have taken rhodiola in the past and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

That's interesting, and very unique lol. I wonder if your hormones are just not balanced so I wonder if balancing them is giving you strange side effects. Is it almost like hot flashes, or just legit burning?

Hot flashes and I'm very sensitive to heat. I keep my room set to 67F. My thyroid came back normal on two tests, my TSH anyway. 1.11 first test and 2.0 second test after I started taking a kelp supplement. I stopped taking the kelp supplement because it started making me feel strange. I have been on GERD pills for 4 years and am currently taking protonix. I don't know if that would have an impact, but I do know it affects metabolism. I'm seeing a gastro next month and hoping I get the surgery to correct the issue, so I can finally stop taking these pills and actually get lean for the first time in years.

As stated above, I would keep it simple to start. Add in KSM-66 and see how it impacts your anxiety. Best of luck!

Thanks bud. I see my primary Doc in March and will request another blood test. My insurance will only test my blood every few months(4-6 can't remember but I have medicare), but luckily my doctor has no problem testing what I want done, at least outside the extended thyroid test. She told me that TSH is all that's needed for thyroid.

If your goal is to lower anxiety, lower cortisol, and increase test, I would say K1ng's Blood would probably be the ultimate supplement for you. It's going to be more expensive than a KSM-66-only product, but with KB, you'll get a host of adaptogens that will regulate your body's response to stress (including KSM-66, EuryGold, PrimaVie) and a bunch of other great ingredients that will improve your mood, confidence, libido, etc.

Only $34.99 from OL right now with the holiday sale, so it's a great time to try it. I too, like to keep things simple to start, and you'd do well with just KSM-66...but based on your situation and the desired effects you mentioned, I figured I'd throw this option out there since it might fit you perfectly.

For ksm-66 only, jarrows fits the bill.

For overall, CEL M TEST would definitely help you OP.

Thanks! I already ordered some KSM-66 already, so I'm going to try that on it's own first. What's the deal with aspartate(Jerry Seinfeld voice)? I've heard mixed things concerning it, that it's easy to get an over-dose even though it's needed. I do remember my "Aspartate Amino Trans" came back at 24(0-37 U/L Range).

I would look at cel MTest. If your looking for test support. If you need cortisol support look at reduce Xt.

Jarrow ksm-66 ashwagandha is my go to for lowering cortisol and raising free test levels, I feel great on it and if I forget a couple of doses I really notice the difference when dealing with anything stressful.

so ashwaghanda isnt good for the stomach ?
I wouldn't say that, at least with a quality extract like KSM-66. I just went back and checked several studies, and none of them reported more stomach upset or related adverse effects relative to control/placebo. Maybe one person in each study (out of a few dozen subjects or more) reported any stomach upset, but so did the control group in many cases. I wouldn't say that it's a relatively common potential issue like it is for something like forskolin. Jarrow KSM-66 is great, and very well priced. I prefer it to Swanson's KSM-66 since Jarrow is 300mg/cap, where Swanson is 250mg/cap. Since many studies use 600mg/day KSM-66, 2 caps of Jarrow gives you exactly 600mg, where you only get 500mg with Swanson.

Cool. KSM-66 is a great ingredient. If you get the chance to try KB one day, I think you'll be very happy. :)

Good question re: Mag-Aspartate. The reason we included it is that Magnesium Aspartate, as an amino acid chelate, is more bioavailable than many forms of Magnesium and has data showing it can increase testosterone as well as reduce cortisol levels during exercise. It may also reduce fatigue.

Regarding it being "easy" to get an over-dose, I have seen a couple articles (typically by companies selling other forms) that suggest the Aspartate form is bad because its better bioavailability can somehow lead to too-high an effective dose, or even excitotoxicity...but these are pretty ridiculous scare-tactics. For one, I haven't seen any data that corroborates this, just theories. For two, the dose included in KB is only 90mg: way, way below the threshold of toxicity. And lastly, excitotoxicity from the aspartate would require the user to be extremely sensitive to this, and again, they'd have to take a much higher dose.

I can almost guarantee you have nothing to worry about, especially if you're physically active and exercise regularly. Those who do need more magnesium than the average person, and the dose in KB will be beneficial, even in addition to most multi-vitamins.

Kings blood looks like the old bioforge v3 formula with some extra goodies. Bioforge v3 was one of my old favorites.

Funny you should mention that :D

The guy who formulated K1ng's Blood may or may not have created Bioforge as well. ;)
