2016 NFL Thread

That game was straight bull****. Both roughing the passers were horse**** and the noncall on Shepherd is embarrassing.

How can players get fined for not following the rules but if a ref misses a CB having a WR in an arm bar it's cool..

Eli also looked like garbage. Under/Over threw OBJ on at least three TDs. But that game was definitely ours. Refs screwed us with the noncall. Tye screwed us by being soft.

Giants didn't show up. Not surprised still can't believe Dallas lost to those chumps twice.

Didn't your cowboys barely squeeze out a win in Dallas against that Eagles team without Lane Johnson?

Dallas almost lost a bunch of times this year...including to San Fran. They are really good, but Dallas fans act like they on the way to a three peat right now lol

Not all Dallas fans. There have been a lot of close games for them this year that should never have been close. They are a good team, but they aren't a great team. They aren't dominating like some people act like they are.

Home field advantage hasn't even been a noticeable increase in performance for them this season either. I would be shocked to see them in the NFC championship, let alone the big game.

Ryan Mathews herniated a cervical vertebral disc in Thursdays win over the Giants. Will require surgery. May not be on the Eagles roster next year, may not play football ever again in the NFL.

Wow

Man that really sucks. I always feel bad for these players that get hurt like that. Same **** happened to David Wilson a few years back. Hope he comes out ok.

All i want for XMas is the steelers to beat the ravens.
But the Steelers always blow it in Baltimore

This is why I am going to see Rogue 1 when the game is on. Because I can't watch and then get depressed LOL

Rogue 1 was the sh1t!!!!! It had the classic feel of the originals but wasn't a remake like 7 kinda was, it also wasn't cheesey like the originals could be at times. It also tied alot of things together but there were a few things that bugged me but I won't mention them till after you've seen it, as I don't want to ruin it for you. Overall one of the best movies I've seen in years

Home field one loss and away one loss. 12-2

Should be a good one

Two weeks ago KC beats Oakland. Last week Tennessee beats KC. This week Jags are beating Tennessee. Let's just say football pools are hard this year lol

Wow .3 that is huge. Lol

I meant to just quote you.

What are you talking about. He is saying there isn't a big difference home or away and it seems like you are saying the same thing but arguing the agreement lol

Wow .3 that is huge. Lol
Hey smart guy, I understand reading is hard, but no one said they were at a disadvantage at home. All I said was that home games have not provided an advantage for the cowboys this season. I'd say having a smaller point differential at home would classify as not having an advantage at home vs. away.

Washing vs Chicago
Washington was just too much on all fronts for Chicago a big 41-21 victory in this one. Barkley threw for 5 picks. You cant win a game when a QB does that. That really helped boost Washington to a W.

Jax Vs Tenn
Big win for Jax here. They really dominated the titans on all fronts. A pick 6 and a fumble really set the tone for the Jags. Bortles was on fire with 300+ yards.

Cleveland vs SD
What? The BROWNS. They finally won a game. I feel bad for SD being the team that lose to them 20-17. Good for the browns, but it doesn't mean much to them. Just they lost their undefeated streak of a winless season!

Atl vs Carolina:
ATL Continues to roll. They have put up 30+ Points in the last 6 games. That offense is straight rolling along strong right now. If they keep limiting teams and putting up big points they will be the playoff sleepers. They are going to do damage IMO for the playoffs.

GB Vs Minn:
Rodgers and Bradford both had killer games through the air as GB won the shootout and put up 38 points and Aaron threw 4 TD's. Good game here in Lambeau for the fans on Xmas eve.

NE vs NYJ
No surprise here. Brady and the Pats take care of business and destroy the Jets. Everyone saw this one coming. 41-3. Man. Bet the jets look for a QB this year in the draft.

Miami vs Buffalo:
The Bills had a great game by Tyrod Taylor and had over 100+ Yards rushing, but they let it slip away in OT. Rex Ryan is really on the hot seat now. A lot of people have him gone. This may of been the dagger to put him away for next season. Ajayi Ran wild with 200+ Yards.

Oakland vs Indy
Every week Oakland continues to look better. From last year to this year they are night and day different. Upfront the Raiders controlled the line of Scrimmage and were able to run the ball at will. Lead for them to beat up Indy and run down the clock and the game. Okaland may have a scar with Carr's Injury and a broken leg.

NO vs Tampa Bay
New Orleans did not put up big numbers through the air as Brees only had 1 TD Pass, but they were able to run the ball well and control the game. Winston and the Bucs made a hard dash the second half to try and make a comeback but fell short. Hard to win on the road when you can't put up Offensive numbers on the ground or through the air. NO looked dominant on both sides of the field.

Arizona vs Seattle:
Arizona Sparks in the 2nd half as it was close up to the 3rd quarter. Seattle had NOTHING going for them on the ground, and then seattle does what they do best come back in the 4th quarter. Seattle had to put the game in Russel's hands through the air which is not seahawks football. Ever since beast mode left the team the Seattle O line is hurting and the ground game is not the same. A lot of new faces on that O-line means it will take time for them to dominate the ground game again. Zona gets the late FG for the W

49er's vs LA Rams:
Goff put this one in the hands of gourley and that is what they needed. Goff did not look very good, makes me question why he was the #1 pick in the draft at QB when Wentz and Dak are both looking much sharper. Don't get me wrong the Rams are not a great team, but he does not look as good as some of the other QB's 49'ers Squeeze out a very late surge to get the W. Another team hurting like the browns for wins!

Then you my friend are a tool. I can respect you thinking he better then Brady. However you are a tool if you think he's better than elway or young
Why do you think John Elway was better than Peyton Manning?

What about Young?

Both of those guys were great, but not better than Peyton. The only QB I would difinitively put over Manning would be Montana. An argument could be made for Marino too, but that's exactly what it would be, an argument.

Manning is easily a top 3 QB of all time, maybe even top 2.

Nope

I think people under appreciate lord pey pey. He played in a conference with insanely good defenses(pitt, pats, balt, jets, etc), and had his team in the contender discussion every year. Meanwhile he never had close to a defense of those teams. We all know in the big games where both teams are good the defense usually says who wins. Look at the 07 pats, look at Denver when they lost to Seattle a few years ago, look at the 2000 Giants when they faced Baltimore. I mean people expected him to win tons of superbowls in that conference(which was wayyyyy better) with the weaker defense. It's ridiculous.

I'm not saying people have to have him one but man people need to appreciate a guy who changed the whole freaking sport and made countless records. No matter how good you are in team sports the rest of the team and circumstance matters. Love him or hate him he made the regular season exciting. I'm not even a colts fan, I just love watching great players. And top that off with him being such a good dude. No brainer.

I see you avoided answering either of my questions.
It would be pointless to argue. You clearly have you mind set. It's fine. I don't want to argue it's Christmas eve. I can respect that you love him he is a great QB. My opinion is different but oh well. Heck I think young is better then Montana but that's a separate issue.

Won't disagree with this at all

Elway was good, but better than Peyton? That's a huge stretch.

Young was great, but he also played for a team that already won 5 SBs and had the greatest receiver of all time on his team (maybe the greatest player of all time, with stickum gloves). Manning never had a receiver better than Jerry Rice, and I don't believe he ever had one better than T.O. either. Let alone both of them at the same time.

San Francisco only had 4 wins before young but they also didn't have as good of an defense with him as they did with Montana but oh well. Will let it sit at Peyton Manning is great QB and is one of the best of all time and ranking is subjectual

They were in the NFC championship game in 1990 before Montana got hurt. Young started in 1991 and went 4-4 before he got hurt and was replaced by Bono who went 5-1 before getting hurt in the 15th game of the season and being replaced by Young again. They went 10-6 over the season.

They were 14-2 the season before with Montana and missed the playoffs without him.

Saw an article earlier saying Lockett broke his leg in the loss to Arizona.

Tough luck for Seattle these last few weeks.

Lots of tough injuries this week. Not sure how Oakland will survive the next few weeks without Carr.
