hernia surgery

Well after 2 years of decreased lifestyle due to a inquinal hernia I had surgery to repair it this morning. If there is any interest I can post up day to day info. Pain, detail, etc. Maybe someone has experience to offer me?

Prepare to not **** for a couple of days. You won't be able to move or laugh comfortably, and pray to god you do not sneeze for the first few days.

The first day is fine because you are messed up from the anesthesia, the second day is just awful

I'd advise not to eat too much, so you don't crap too much.

Your prob going to be constipated from the anesthesia/pain meds, so remember not to "push".

Also, something you wouldn't immediately think about, be careful getting out of bed. Naturally we rely on a lot of core strength to do so and thats really what you want to avoid. If you happen to have any heavy furniture near your bed, tie a bed sheet to it and the upper corner of your bedframe if you have one. When you go to get out of bed, simply untie it and use your arm strength to hoist yourself in an upright position.

That advice helped me a lot.

Good luck and get rest.

This is so true. Totally pain free day 1 due to the spinal block they give you. After that it's a b!tch. I literally didn't poop for 2weeks, due not being able to push and opiates clogging me up. Cool thing though is now my dick looks like a smiley face with a squidword noise. It makes forplay interesting (both good and bad depending on the chick) lol

Honestly just sleep in a recliner it makes things alot simpler

Yeah on third day of recovery. Not fun yet but moving in the right direction. It was a double inquinal laparoscopic. Just trying to relax and not move too much.

One if the best advice I can give is pee often even if you don't think you have to pee. As that was insanely painful trying to prevent from pissing myself. As i drank alot and forgot to pee and and bam it hit me and was very intense pain
