Yeah, I know -- that's why I was shocked when I heard "Vanderbilt" exclusive and given the name of the pint since Vandy is down here.

Never been to NY, so couldn't name a single street there.

There are no words left after this pint. Easily the best pint offered on the Ample Hills lineup from start to finish. If you love chocolate this base could be scooped by itself. Combine brownies to a superb chocolate base and its like checking yourself into chocolate therapy. The saltiness and crunch of the crackers are the Ample Hills spotlight signature mix-in. The saltiness helps increase the flavor from the base and other elements thrown together in this offering.

Grade: A+

It really does taste like vodka in cream, I will give them that, but that's all there is to it.

Boring pint. It's kind of impressive to make a vodka flavour taste good (and it does) but at best this gets a C- from me.

The coffee taste is also pretty hidden under the vodka, try again HD

This was their best limited edition pint IMO, the Peppermint Bark chunks were large and all over, I remember several pints with chunks the width of the pint. Now it seems they have blended it into the base though

What used to be a B+ is now a B/B- for me, no more chunk porn
White Chocolate base is still a good one from HD, and the chocolate chunks and candy bits are there but now scattered.

With that being said I brought in Driven2lift on a GF (pumpkin) order. But I can't just get whenever I want.

There are, they just don't have the market support the US does, so getting pints readily available just isn't an option

You'd have to travel there but I'm down for this and a nice restaurant the next time someone here hits the GTA

If I have to go though the Toronto airport again, will make sure to plan a longer layover so as to fit a 10/10 meal.

Not willing to abuse my tastebuds at Tim Horton's again...

Only 2-3 of those are actually in TO though. The others are in BC & Alberta which is a 4-5hr plane ride so not going to try them.


My go to in TO is La Paloma (Invalid Link Removed)

I also to hit up Dairy Cream in Miss (Invalid Link Removed) and Café demetre (Invalid Link Removed) when I go local.

I took mkretz to Café D and he can confirm homemade ice cream on Belgian waffles is good chit.
 
Wasn't sure where the Canada crew was spread out so I diversified the geography; but, it also goes to show that no one should be left with poor choices.

fair point, there are definitely some great options spread around (legit restaurants, bakeries & scoop shops). The area we trail the US is the in-store selection, new product releases, online shopping scene, etc

GNO. He does make a good point. You spend a lot of time googling places by you and by me...but not Toronto which u k ow has to have epic stuff..... And its not that far...worth the drive for stuff that's better and different than stuff by you and lenny and Larry's cookies lol
 
Broke into a pint of Greaters Pumpkin... dont even bother. Its boring and fake tasting pumpkin. Obviously I love all things pumpkin, but this is far and away one of the lamest pumpkin ice creams I've tried. waste of $4.50

If you've been watching their fb page, there's been a countdown. No official release on there yet, today, so I went to their website where it's already loaded in:

Cals are higher (yet protein remains the same), but if they can hit the taste on this with actual cookie dough bites, then this is going to be amazing.

halo top flavors have been great thus far and consistency/texture is light years ahead of AZ...

Enlightened still takes the cake tho for low cal ice creams... taste and texture are second to none and actually better than a lot of full cal IC's

Thought they mentioned a few weeks back that today they were dropping the 10 new flavors.

I'm waiting on the salted caramel, oatmeal cookie and red velvet

If you can find enlightened brand near you, get these two flavors from them.... the oatmeal cookie crunch is a top 10 ANY ice cream for me
 
I know they did the 10 day countdown and each day had different flavor hints, but I thought that was to throw it off and it was only one new flavor. If they're dropping 10 new ones all now that'll be insane and I'll lose it lol.

Dan -- none of the pints around me for Enlightened, sadly. Still see it pop up on fb ads all the time lol. I'm looking forward to trying whenever I can actually find it.

But if we are going to play that game, you are going down the wrong path brother. 360 cals? Make a proyo:

Cashew Milk, Select, Low Cal Frozen Fruit (staw, peaches, etc), Ice or Insipid Frozen Veg (Cauliflower) for volume, optional Xanthan...powerful blender (ninja)...profit...

You'll get at least three times the volume, better flavor (mix in cereal as well), slushie consistency, and save $$$.

Ok...end of my intolerance for today...I'm going to go consume sugary baked goods.

Meh, I'm lazy and I like convenience.

I may get up before 5 AM to lift each day, but sometimes it's nice to stop by the store and grab a pint and wolf it down and laugh because the macros are similar to that of a protein bar.

No arguments that there are other options or that Graeters isn't better ice cream. But it is what it is.


I also drink Bud Light Lime when I have beer. I like what I like :)

You may as well throw those oreos in the trash. They are artificial garbage.
Every review I have seen has been one of the worst oreos made!

well dont knock em til you try em... I really enjoyed them. especially in the freezer. Plain, they're just ok, but the freezer makes the creme taste really shine over the cookie (which overpowers it at room temp)... none of the "medicine" taste i had read about... if you like SF, you'll like them. maybe not LOVE, but like.
