Yeah

He's not a backslap kind of lifter. You gonna give him his first competition backslap??
I once watched a guy hit someone so hard before deadlift he knocked him down on accident![]()

LOL. If I backslapped Kleen I'd run like hell after!!
Well then I must be doing GREAT!!!!Sounds like proper overreaching to me. If you don't feel like crap by the time you're 1-2 weeks out, you probably aren't going to get the super compensation you're after.
Yeah that will do it! Hopefully you can get a lil sleep before the meet.I feel like crap, but that's mostly the sleep deprivation.
You guys are doing the same meet, right?
Yeah no doubt, will be nice having someone I know in the meet as well.Yeah
That's a big negative ghost rider! You gonna give him his first competition backslap??

This!!!! I already told him I am not in any need of being assaulted to get myself hyped up. I kind of get an internal hype, I tend to center myself, and really focus before a lift. He's not a backslap kind of lifter.
It would be prudent!LOL. If I backslapped Kleen I'd run like hell after!!
LOL I imagine if someone slapped me good their hand would sting about as much as my back.to the hospital... for your now-broken hand haha
Oh so you're more of a slap on the ass kind of guy?? Lol
Those pulls looked solid. 600 will be a shoe-in
Wait why wrestling shoes now? I would compete in exactly what you trained in.
He had you pulling 95% 3 days before the meet?
Flights were released today.
I'm in the back half of C, your are in the Middle of D.
The meet itself will go pretty quickly, if it's anything like last time. Probably a couple of minutes between attempts, which will be plenty of time to recover but not enough to go cold.Yeah I saw that. With how many are in each flight like 18 or so. How long do you think that might take? Does it look like we will we have much downtime in between lifts?

We won't be able to leave until late Friday, I might have to talk to the meet director to weigh-in Saturday.Sounds good. I am definitely excited! How about you? When are you going up? Are you going to have to work to make your weight class? I just need to make sure i am not over 220 but that shouldn't be a problem. I will have to go and weigh in Friday morning though. If I wait I will cross the 220 threshold pretty quickly.
Oh wow, those numbers would be even better for you if that was the case. I am heading up Thursday night, will stay with a friend then weigh in Friday morning since I am hovering in the 218 upon waking area.We won't be able to leave until late Friday, I might have to talk to the meet director to weigh-in Saturday.
And I doubt it, if anything I might be under my weight class and then I'll end up competing as a 181.
Wrestling shoes are great for pulling, as are Chucks. I just always train as I compete, so I never pull in socks. I forgot you've been shoeless!
Pulling 90%+ 4 days before comp for a male conventional puller is just counterproductive. Its just totally unnecessary. Do 3x3 on box jumps or Med ball slams Wednesday and a few speed squat singles w 225 after a mobilizing warmup, and drag some sled on off-days.
It would be different for bench certainly, but pulling I have to vehemently disagree. Success leaves cues, and to say there is greater risk than reward in that scenario would be an understatement.
Well that depends on what numbers I'm capable of on meet day lol.Oh wow, those numbers would be even better for you if that was the case. I am heading up Thursday night, will stay with a friend then weigh in Friday morning since I am hovering in the 218 upon waking area.
Okay, yeah the wrestling shoes should be great. I will definitely train in what I plan to compete in for my next meet. This one had so many things come up during the meet and so many unexpected exenses that I wasn't able to pre-order everything like I originally planned. Dropping 700 on training equipment was not part of the original plan. After that it was all trying to catch back up monetarily.
Yeah the Dead lifts were the only thing to concern me with that practice. Also part of the reason I did not take dead lifts up yesterday. I felt some fatigue in my lower back on my 2nd warm up set and called it. Conventional Deads can definitely put a damper on the CNS, and I wasn't willing to dig a hole.
Well that depends on what numbers I'm capable of on meet day lol.
It's not the weight loss I'm worried about, it's the super compensation I may have missed out on.Well if you are in homeostasis weight wise I doubt your numbers would drop just because you were a pound or two off on the scale. If you had to do something to lose the weight I could see it being detrimental but probably not so much if you are eating normally and happen to be lighter that day.

I have absolutely no idea what that means.UTD. That'll take care of it

Excited for tomorrow and feeling good.
358 easy, 396 miss
Dude, I wish I had asked if you were competing in the open while we were at the meet....
State DL record for open 220 is 622, and we definitely could've had you take a 4th and break that.
