TGR's Modified PowerBuilding v2.0

I dunno man...mines working just fine too.

Got it. Seems to only happen on the subscribed tab for me. Timeline and participated both load.

Motivation and endurance are low. It took me an hour to get moving this morning after sitting in bed debating whether I'd go in. With the low motivation comes low motivation to maintain my diet. Pizza last night, sweats this morning.

Thomas, you're doing great brother. This is a temporary situation and I feel you are mentally being hard on yourself. You sir, are a Beastman that is taking a break. Between your truck, son, Mom and life, your mojo is taking a hit.

Dude, I know what you're going through. Lost all motivation to train a few months ago and now I'm back to being eager to hit the gym everyday. It's all a big pendulum.

Thank you everyone for the words of motivation. I'll keep at it and get back into the motivation.

Six Ways x10

Meadows Tricep Ext x60-80?

Been to the gym 5 out of the last 6 days according to my app. It doesn't feel like it...

Everything felt good on the shoulders. I can feel the issue here but only during rest periods, not on the work sets. That's an improvement

Rest day.

Wife just told me to shop around and get a rack/bar. Heck yeah.

Any suggestions? I'd like to keep the rack at the lower end of a grand so that I can get other accessory stuff, but budget is 1500-2000

I linked you to the edge fitness rack in my thread. For your price range, I'd look hard at that.

Rick responds quickly, so if you have any specific questions just ask him.

I think you'll be able to get the most options from him, while still staying in that price range.

$1250 (+shipping) includes the sumo base, band pegs, j-cups, pullup bar, Westside hole spacing, safeties.

He also did mine in the two different colors for no extra charge. That would leave money left for a monkey bar chinups handle, dip attachment, landmine, or whatever else you could think of.

I'm going to contact him. The one you have is 2" to tall, but I really like it

Mine is right at 90".

But when you decide on a height, make sure you leave enough clearance to get your head over the pullup bar.

Who said I can get my head over the bar?

My garage doesn't have a ceiling, only rafters. The rafters are at 92", so I could position it where there is a clearing for my head. Was going to have to do that for OHP anyway.

Oh, that makes it a whole lot easier then lol.

I just realized I was spamming up Jim's thread with a link for a rack you may wanna check out

I appreciate it. I'm contemplating. I like the spacing on the one Jim has and the fact that I know someone who uses it and they're pleased.

Almost jumped on a Titan T3: Invalid Link Removed

It's perfect for me, except the top gives me less than an inch and reviews say they're wobbly with not-so-great welds. Thoughts?

I hear they are basically rogue knockoffs, I have never seen one and can't recall seeing anything from anyone who owns one.

That pic looks OK, but weight storage on a 4 post rack is tough to do. It will basically make that second post unusable because of the diameter of the plates. Outside of that, it looks fine.

It is unlikely, especially after being bolted down, that any rack is going to give out. Westside used (uses?) 2x2 racks with 24" squat depth, so you can make anything work.

I could store weight elsewhere. I'll think on it some. If I go this route I have another grand in accessories (bar, weights, etc). Having it at 91 1/8" limits my option of having wood under the rack. I'd like wood base with bolts, wood in the middle and rubber on the outsides.

Yeah, the price is definitely right. If you don't want weight storage on the rack, rogue offers just 4 post.

Rick will make one too, but I don't have any idea on price.

You'll definitely want to be able to put a couple of sheets of plywood under it. Either that, or bolting it into the concrete. That will be true for any sumo based rack.

I don't want to bolt into concrete just in case I decide to move it.

Building a weight holder would be easy enough.

How are you supposed to train inside that Titan rack without risking hitting weights stored on the back posts behind you?? Might as well get a 2x2 with no storage (ideally off Craigslist), seriously.

I wouldn't store them. I'm going to hold off and see what Rick says.

After 3 days slacking, i'm up.

But slacking.

I'll workout at home today. I need some basic movements anyway.

I am supposed to hear from the guy making my power rack today. I can't wait for that to get moving too.

I'm going to go beyond self adjusting my shoulder. Time to schedule an appointment with the doc.

I should've gone to the gym instead of working out at home. I needed more options, as the bench press wasn't a good idea on my shoulder.

I did some rows, pulldowns, presses up to 135, and curls. Started to do banded shoulder raises but changed my mind.

I guess it's all better than nothing.

My neighbor has what looks to be black or bright white light on in their back room. My son noticed it the other day and it's on all day and all night.

What rack did you settle on? Is your neighbor a "grower"?

The Edge Fitness one that Jim recommended but with modifications.

I'm thinking so. It's bright as hell and the picture doesn't do justice. It's not a normal home light.

Load the free Craigslist app on your iPhone and search for "olympic". There are always tons of great, used equipment listed.

Are you doing any specific colors? What did you decide on for dimensions and weight storage?

Well, that depends on where you live and what you're looking for lol.

I had to drive all the way to NJ and OH when I was looking for York.

Ohio seemed to have a ton of high quality equipment for sale, the Northeast in general was packed full of good stuff.

I'm really excited that you're finally getting your home gym all set up! It's been a long time dream! I don't think my hubby will let me have one along with my bakery...maybe I can do a 2 in 1?!

Search your local Craigslist in secret, and then surprise him with a gym for your anniversary.

Blackmail your neighbor for a 20% cut of his profits, for your silence. Don't get greedy with the extortion though - I've seen The Godfather.

Yes. My garage is Seminoles themed so I'm going with the Garnett and black mix.

He's going to offer his opinion of dimensions today (supposedly) with 90" being maximum height. I decided against the weight storage because I think I can make something cheaper that looks good.

Make him sleep on the couch until he agrees with you.

I don't think he has much room to make any money. It seems to only be one room. But, it's way too much light for 1-2 plants (if that's what it's for). If he opened his blinds I could probably plant some on my porch as well.

You might need to hound him a bit, he's old lol.

What I might recommend for a 4 post rack would be: 2"x2" posts (3"x3" is fine, I just prefer 2x2), 48"W x 40" L. That would give you 36" inside depth, and 44" inside width.

For 3x3 you still want 48"W but would want 42" total length.
