You still get the newbie fasting losses - you should lose 5-6 pounds pretty quick, then it will be a consistent 0.5 pounds a day for a while if you keep your calories in check. The issue is, meatballs? For real? Did you even read Lyle's book? lol.

The comedian Jim Gaffigan does a stand up routine about Subway restaurants and how ridiculous it is that we think of them as being healthy. He talks about going in there for a meatball sub. He describes meatball subs as, "You take enough meat to make 5 burgers, roll it up into balls, and then put it on a bun that will hold 5 burgers...how is this healthy?"

Anyway, I know what 18 pounds is going to take. You are still in the take it easy mode. I'm not impressed yet. :)

I made the meat balls, no forbidden fillers. The wine was not necessary but a friend came to visit. He brought fast food and snacks.
I did not touch any of it but had a firm grip on my cup of wine, lol.

I'm very much into this challenge and I may use dirty propaganda tactics to disguise my real progress.... muhahahaha!

You did that in 30 minutes!!?? Wow. Something is wrong when they have to put a note on the machine to limit a CARDIO session to 30 minutes. That stuff is so painful and boring at the same time, I am begging to stop after 2 minutes. Literally, I start, then I start thinking, "I've been going for a while, this is killing me, how much longer can I do this!?" and I look down and it's 2 minutes after I started. It's horrible.

To burn over 500 calories in 30 minutes...that must have been brutal. It took me 70 minutes to get my bike to say 600 calories.

It's one of those monster step mills, I'm 177 or so right now and I set my weight at 175 so I'm actually forcing myself harder to work at a 1,000 calorie per hour pace.

I honestly think I'm the reason for the sign, I've done hour sessions on that bastard before.

HGP on average Red wine is about 200 calories per 6 oz, so you have about 1000 calories in your 25ounces of wine. Each gram of alcohol is 7kcals, however the body burns it off extremely fast because it sees it as a poison. That's why you get hot when you are drinking. Either way you were probably pretty close on the meatballs and if you made them yourself probably higher protein and lower carb / fat than store bought. My daughter makes them 1oz per ball now so when I do eat them I know exactly how many ounces of meat I am getting. You could do that as well if you are going to make them again. Really if you weight the first one you can just make the rest to match if you don't want to weigh each one. She just puts the meat in the scales bowl, then grabs enough meat out that the scale goes down an ounce and makes the meat balls that way. She seasons and mixes it in the bowl first then puts it on the scale to do it. Although if you just match the size of the first one you weigh the minute difference in weight are not going to be a major factor and a lot more convenient than weighing each one.

Don't help him too much here. I want him to think he's eating 1,000 when he's actually eating 2,000. 6 week challenge and I want to leave him scratching his bald head wondering what went wrong :)

You are lucky! You have a daughter cooking for you! My daughter plays pokemon-go all the time and asks ME if food is ready, LOL
Made the balls from lean ground beef, eggs and very little bread crumbs, just enough to make it possible to form a ball.
It was my only food source that day with some leafy greens, no need to weight it -or being concerned about blowing the diet.
Will watch my total protein intake more closely to not cannibalize my own muscles too much.

The wine is from Argentina, not sweet at all but with a pronounced fruity note. Bought 100+ bottles a year ago ( Now only 25 bottles left :( ).

-hands down one of the fruitiest tasting -non sweet but mild wines, NOT expensive, bought the bottle in Argentina for about $ 6.-

I love me some good red wine. As you can tell, I know how many calories are in an average 6 oz glass of red.

I will have to look at Specs and see if I can find any. Starting Dbol next week, so if I want to try that wine it needs to be this weekend. Do you like Spicy stuff at all? I had an amazing Cabernet with habanero in it. Was soooooo good. Just a touch of heat. Made the wine warm fuzzies even warmer and fuzzier.

It's a VERY hot climate here, the natives do not eat spicy. Me on the other hand, I love chilli con carne EXTRA HOT!

In November I'm again in Florida, will have a look around and find me some cabanero.

Awesome, I am expecting some fun. I am just starting at 25mg a day and also adding in 50mg tren ace 3 times a week for 2 weeks. Then 2 weeks out from the meet those doses pretty much double and I stay there all the way up to meet day. I have never used either compound so very excited to see how I respond to them. Not expecting much in the way of size since my reps are so low right now but I should still see a little new size from it. The strength is what I expect to shine.

Yes, and or lower test and higher tren from my understanding. I will be at 800mg Test e starting Saturday to, have been at 700mg for 4 weeks, and 500 for 4 weeks before that. Getting a lot stronger but not really growing much. I think the DBol may change that a bit.

I am impressed hairygrandpa ...you are in the adjusting phase and pushing out RP reps. Hard work for swizzle. The PSMF is about caloric deficit, ketosis isn't necessary. It may happen just from low carbs, but with such high protein and some artificial sweetener in my coffee, I hardly ever make it into ketosis at all. Maybe moderately...But it comes and goes and isn't a big part of the diet.

Great job. I'm proud if you.

I know you are probably feeling that way due to the cut, but I sympathize in general. I know we all face that feeling from time to time, but you still made it into the gym and crushed it. Props!
 
Nice lift HGP and keto is not required for fat loss in any way. Trust me atyour caloric levels there are probably no ketones being excreted anyway if they are broken down your body is using them. I am sure there is not extra to be considered waste. As long as the body is using the ketones efficiently they often never show up in the urea.

Exactly - and I hadn't thought of the keto thing that way before. Everytime I'm on the PSMF, I've pretty much given up even testing for ketosis. I do it out of curiosity, but honestly, I can be in the middle of a 5 day run with less than 800 cals/day and way less than 50 g of carbs, and the color on the stick doesn't even change. I always assumed the protein and the artificial sweetener in my protein drinks and coffee threw me out. But, it makes sense - ketones are created for fuel, and if I'm using them, they won't be in the urine. But at any rate, it's far from being necessary for fat loss.

Not taking any NPP, I'm cutting on 500mg test/ fragment peptide/Ostarine and MK-677.

But thinking about it, NPP will be on the menu for my following bulk, if I can afford it.

And then, something happens in my head where that cycle repeats, as if the only chip I can remember is the last one so I eat a 3rd as if it's my second, and a 4th (as if it's my second) and a 5th...then it's like, "What? They only put 2 chips in the bag? WTF?"

Second, get your **** together man. 6 weeks. That's all we need from you. Do you ENJOY losing? What part don't you get about this. PSMF. The F, in case you didn't notice, stands for FASTING. You are done eating. Done. No food. Just a small amount that is in the plan to keep you alive. That's it. Cut the ****. You are not eating. If someone asks you if you want something, the answer is, "I'm on a diet." they respond with, "What are you eating?" You respond with, "Nothing. I'm not eating." Bam. 4 pounds of waterweight is NOT the 18 pounds you want to lose.

Third, keep the blood sugar in check, but give into the fact you will be dragging a little. You can't fight it, and the more you fight it the more you drag it out. Take it on the chin, let your body get used to it, and sometime in week 2 you will start to clear up. It's miserable, but you can get through it.

You do realize, losing 18 pounds in 6 weeks is not easy. If you blow the first 3 weeks, losing 18 pounds in 3 weeks will be crazy hard.

We all have our breaking points, I just found yours....and 95% of the male population.
 
One thing most people don't realize is the liver stores about 100g of glycogen in it and releases some of it when you go hypo, it takes 15-30 minutes but that hypo feeling will 9/10 times resolve on it's own.

Adding in 1-2 tablespoons of EVCO an hour before your workout will help a lot with energy and hypo tendencies during the workout also. Plus helps spurn your metabolism for more efficient utilization of fat for energy, especially during the workouts.
