Best Pump Product????

I usually stick to the Raws personally. SNS agmatine, betaine and such. Find it works better for me in the long run.

Anyone else just eating Beets? (Or buying Beet Root Juice or Powder). I don't do it for the "pump" but it's a by-product of the performance.

I thought about it but not sure it will do much

I hate hate hate beets but are the benefits that noticeable??

Couldn't tell you, but the science says they are. I don't feel like stopping every single other supplement, going through a washout, and then re-introducing just beets to see :) That's the way to test something like that - you can't be taking a ton of stuff in addition - others will disagree I'm sure. Plus, it's food - fills me up, micro-nutrient dense, etc... But if you hate them, then find something else.

In theory, beets are definitely ergogenic. The dye is used for supplements as are the nitrates.. crazy.
You're not really going to get an ergogenic dose of nitrates from the amount of beetroot used in most products; most extracts don't even list the nitrate content, and ones that do are standardized for relatively low nitrate (ex: RedNite is 1.5% nitrates). Studies showing benefits of beets for performance tend to use 400mg+ nitrates, meaning you'd need more than 25g of the beetroot extract.

If you want the ergogenic benefits of nitrates, you can either go with eating beets or drinking the juice (which is a decent amount), or use a supplement that's going to provide you with a full dose of nitrates like VasoMax, which contains about 460mg nitrates or so (I think potassium nitrate is between 57-60% nitrates offhand), which a nice dose.

One can of Freshlike Sliced Small Beets (The Lowest Cal/Carb ones) is about 400g total. Don't know if that includes the juice/water it's packed in - probably not. It's 88 kcals/Can. The Ergo-Log article used 200g of baked beats (no liquid). So I think 1 Can is definitely good to go - they're about $0.89 a can where I am. I use 3 a week - but it's also actual food, fills you up, micro-nutrients etc... even if they are more expensive than a bottle of KNO2. JMO

Yeah, there's definitely nothing wrong with eating/drinking beets for nitrates. Beets and lecithin granules before hitting the gym, haha.

Really want to try PES High Volume but it's not readily available here in Sweden.

Right now I'm running Pro Supps Dr.Jekyll stacked with No3 Drive and loving it. But Agmatine and Creatine Nitrate is apparently being banned in Sweden so a lot of pump products will disappear or get changed.

I myself would rather just buy varieties of beets slice them to cook faster and roast them with fresh herbs, the canned beets are too generic for me and taste meh.

Def think more people should eat them they are delicious and their is also a bunch of kinds of beets

Tons of quality pre workouts contain constituents that increase vaso dilation like citrulline malate, theobromine, glycerol, nitrates etc... but if your looking for soley a non-stim pump product my list would be;

Purus Labs Noxygen,
Iforce Hemavo2 Max
Iforce Hemoval (OG)
Iforce potassium nitrate
Core Nutritionals Pump...

Youll notice all but the last one are Agmatine free and there is a reason for that...Agmatine can cross the BBB and has more neurological effects then it does vasodilation, there are many studies documenting agmatines effects on addiction, etc, and for me when taken at least 3 days in a row it increase my migraines. Which can be debilating. Dont get me wrong Agmatine is a great compound for many but for those who suffer from migraines and or epilepsy you should avoid it...

Sign me up for a tasty 8-12oz shaker of whatever pump pre on the market over a can of beets any day haha. Never liked beets and hate when you can taste the extract in a supp.
