I don't think anyone's attacking religion here though :) He was only prioritizing personal relationships with God over written words/stories/history/etc.

I think he was talking about the liberals who say that they're accepting of ALL lifestyles, but seem to mock and criticize religious people.

what they fail to realize is my belief in JESUS CHRIST is my LIFESTYLE...they should compare it to my attacking gays which they are so eager to defend...I have been respectful of that lifestyle even though I am not an avid supporter, they should show the same respect!!!

another way of looking at it is JESUS CHRIST is family to me, attacking him is a personal attack against my family member...I am sure they would not like it if I attacked a member of their family!!!

also, just because GOD OR JESUS is mentioned does not give permission for them to attack, if I mentioned my mom I hope they would not attack her just because her name was brought up in discussion....

this has crossed the line and it is my feeling that non-believers need to back off and show some respect for the belief of others....

But only a minority of religious people ignore science. Saying that anyone who believes in God ignores science is equally as stupid as saying all Muslims are terrorists, or all black people are criminals.

Also, why is this mocking and accusations of ignoring science only targeted at Christians? What about Jews and Muslims?

Politically speaking, the stance of the far right is that of denying science, if that science interferes with making money. It's policy. It is definitely not a minority imo
 
IMO, it's only a minority of athiests who attack religion. I know plenty of Catholic, Christian, Muslim leftists / dems / people who do not attack religion. I am not sure, was there some sort of poll that was taken that said a majority of leftists are non-religious and attack religion?

There is something of a stereotype that Christians ignore science. Not everyone on the left believes this, but it does seem to be somewhat common. I'm not saying a lot of people attack people for being religious/Christian, but people do make some assumptions when they hear someone is Christian, especially if they say they go to Church regularly.

Well Christians for the most part (conservative fundamentalists that is) all deny evolution. This is not a stereotype. It just is what it is.

But what's more than this, where it comes to oil/fracking/climate, all of the right-wing conservatives deny science in order to side with corporations, and turn a bigger profit.

The majority of people at the Church I go to (at least what I've heard and the people I've talked to there) believe in evolution, haha. I've also never heard them judge or criticize gays or anything of that sort, and many people not only give some money to help charities, but actually go to very poor areas and help the underprivileged children there. Maybe I just found a good Church?

Johnson - 1.1million likes

Now let's assume only 50% of those actually show up to vote.

Clinton - 2.75million votes
Johnson - 550,000 votes

Now there's no factual evidence supporting this but as a hypothetical based on Facebook likes Johnson has no chance of winning but only taking votes away from Trump/Clinton.

Yes, likely. I was only saying that fundamentalist Christians don't believe in it. Fundamentalist Christians are the more extreme type who believe word for word out of the bible to be fact, instead of being symbolic teachings. Very different!

Actually evidence suggest that man made global warming doesnt exist. Numerous of nasa scientists have said this but weve already been down that road.

you should know that no group of people share exactly the same beliefs....it is a mistake to generalize.

even if Hillary gets less votes she will still be president...just means they will have to cheat, between Obama/the dnc and the Clintons cheating should come naturally.

Even so, I deducted 50% across the board. So even Trump at 50% and Clinton at 90%, Trump wins. Trump would have to get less than a 10% voter turnout against Johnson for him to have a chance. Those numbers are "likes" and not votes but even if you skew them a LOT, Trump still wins. Can't wait for the debates!

I simply go with what has the most and strongest evidence supporting it, and that goes for most anything. I consider myself a reasonable person willing to change my mind, even when it used to be set and stone on a subject, when presented with evidence to support it. Thats all im doing here too.

Now the oil spills and trash ARE definitely serious issues that we need to be do more about.

Heck even though i dont beleieve that global warming is man made, i still think we should be trying to lower the pollution in the air. If for nothing else for are lungs.

The science I've read doesn't say it's entirely manmade. It just says that human activity is a contributing factor.
