The decision is killing me. Saw 3 surgeons. One being mine. The other 2 for opinions.
They all agree i have about %80 supraspinatus tear. They also all agree that isnt the real problem. Specifically i have type 3 acromiam which is not very condusive for weight lifters. I had that removed in my left anout 5 years ago.
So i can go in now to have the acromiam process end shaved off. The tendon will need some repair but not full blown reconstruction.
My other option is keep the inflammation down and continue lifting (which im doing with the aid of a cort shot several weeks ago) until it eventually becomes unbearable then go in.
I always hear avoid surgery at all cost. But with my type 3 its inevitable. The problem is i feel so good now but kniw it will fade. Whether its a week or 2 years it will happen.
And something i didnt know. If you are pain free. Even with a full tear they dont operate. I said well if i full tear then the tendon will be gone and the type 3 wont have anything to agggravate lol
Opinions please
