The New Product Release Thread

Agree on Colossal bars. The Crispy Apple Pie and Super Cookie Crunch are so good.. didn't like the Chocolate Toasted Almond too much though.

Only problem with most of them is SOY. Cookie dough doesn't have that. The apple pie was awesome too though- despite that setback

And the protein blend is like the 4th or 5th ingredient

You talking about this one? (well, this is the small one, but the same ingredients)

I personally find these to be delicious.

Oh man....the CCCD in those kind is so much better

Speaking of bars, has anyone seen the oh yeah one cinnamon roll bars in VS yet?

Not yet. The preorders just came off their website, should be soon.

I

Already have these in UK and can't tell difference between these and caramel ones, although carbkillas are the best bars out there IMO

^^^ Bold.. Agree Carb Killa's are awesome. They settle much easier on my stomach then quest as well.

You must have not had their lineup in a long ass time the cookie dough is not good and never was haha but all the rest have massively improved since the 90s and early 2000s

They just launched a new label for their Colossal's which I picked up bunch of

It's still the same as it has been taste/texture wise as the red wrapper version from 6 months and a year ago but that is the new label and the super cookie crunch is 100x better than the cookie dough and the entire Protein Plus line :P

Apple Crisp is <3 and everyone should have it in their life lulz

I found a maple bacon Big 100 in TX in the spring, afaik it is only available in stores. That is the best flavour x 100! I would buy boxes if I ever see it again...

I tried a few of these flavors based off the rave reviews around here and thought they sucked. Cccd and pb were totally boring.

Fit Crunch are hit or miss, and I have heard numerous reports that the bars have changed from what they once were.

I think they have. They aren't as good. Probably did what Supreme did and hooked people in, changed the formula to cheaper stuff without announcing it, and turning a bigger profit.

I eat the supreme carb conscious protein bars all the time. They are good as **** been eating them for couple years taste just as good this week as they did 2 years ago and that German Chocolate Cake they brought out like last year stupid ****ing good. They are owned by Post just FYI it is far far more likely you got a stale one or some which were badly stored than it is anything else.

No, actually when they were initially brought out by Prosource they were much better. I used to eat them all the time back in 07. So when big companies buy the name. They put in cheaper ingredients to turn a profit on their investment. Taste isn't my issue. It is the reduction in the quality of protein that is in the bar.

Well whatever lol didn't have them in 2007 but the ones on the shelf right now taste amazingly well done texture and flavor; certainly than any other bar out besides the Met-RX colossal. All I care about is the calories/carbs the added protein is a bonus and given my intakes 0 cares.

That German Chocolate Cake > all the hyped up **** + all them fiber bars ;)

Just lettin' you know their history. Thst is all. Also shows different strokes for different folks

I wish I could have had them from 07 to compare I have and did have the old met-rx bars back in the end of the 90s and early 2000s holy **** awful so so bad so so nasty :X

The current ones by and large so much better than the 90s like worlds of difference lol ( sept that cookie dough one.. nothx nothx >< ).

Edit: the label on the current Supreme German Chocolate

Ingredients: Chocolate Coating (Whey Protein Concentrate, Palm Kernel Oil, Maltitol, Cocoa Powder, Sugar, Soy Lecithin [An Emulsifier], Vanilla), Coconut Layer (Coconut, Invert Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Citric Acid and Pure Vanilla Extract), Supreme Protein® Blend (Whey Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Milk Protein Isolate), Glycerine, Soy Protein Isolate, Chocolate Protein Crisps (Isolated Soy Protein, Cocoa Powder, Palm Kernel Oil, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Soy Lecithin, Vitamin Blend (Dicalcium Phosphate, Magnesium Phosphate, Dl-alpha-tocopherol Acetate, Ascorbic Acid, Copper Gluconate, Niacinamide, Vitamin A Palmitate, Ferric Orthophosphate, Biotin, Zinc Oxide, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid, Manganese Sulfate, Calcium D-pantothenate, Riboflavin, Sodium Selenite), Potassium Sorbate (A Preservative), Wheat Protein Isolate, Almond Butter (Dry Roasted Almonds).

Would need to see the label from the older ones to see the difference in ingredients but pretty quality to me 400 calories 30g protein, 36g carbs and 15g fat. I like the colossal slightly more given it's richness as well and it has little more carbs but I will and do eat both! :) Dymatize supposed to bring one out should be similar-ish to those Supreme Carb con bar's ( also owned by Post ).

The first time I tried bars was 03. Metrx CCCD. I thought they were magic at the time. Haha I didn't think they were THAT bad, but bars are a lot better now. Haha

I was pretty new to them at the time in the late 90s and a buddy of mine owned a gym back in Ohio used to workout with he would buy those and I would eat some of his so I don't have a basis for all of what was out to compare to lol but them first bars I had in the end of the 90s not good. I want to say it was pure protein or designer whey or something? unsure on that but they had this strawberry shortcake bar man was that epic for it's time!

Protein powder at that time was even worse >< I remember mixing up some chocolate protein he had and it was like drinking brown chalk lol me getting more into the life style is far more recent only back in 2013 so missed a lot of years where things prob changed pretty quick in the 2000s.

The protein blend was 1st and soy protein wasn't present, 2 big reasons I liked then did

I am from Indiana originally and started wading the supplement waters at that time. The protein powders I had at that time still weren't fantastical. I tried Nitrotech and it used to burn my throat! Lol

OG Tiger's Milk Peanut Butter were the **** back in the day. Pretty small and low on protein, but damn there good, at least to my taste buds back then they were.

Performix goes with a much more traditional BCAA ratio for ISO SYM

Compared to the original ISO 9:2:2, the only thing ISO SYM really has in common with it is that it has the brand’s signature Terra Bead Technology and BCAAs. The supplement is broken down into two proprietary blends, one for the BCAAs and the other for a combination of CLA and l-carnitine l-tartrate. The former weighs in at a total of 3g per serving and instead of using ISO 9:2:2’s ratio of 9:2:2, it features the much more traditional 2:1:1. As for the other blend, that tips the scales at a total of 3.5g and as mentioned is made up of CLA (from safflower oil) and l-carnitine l-tartrate.

Sounds like what another large company did before changing back because of severe customer dissatisfaction.

I got a 1/3 size sample bar from M&S

It was really soft but mild apple flavour and crunchy bits were tasteless and did not add anything to the experience. Disappointed :(. I won't be buying...

damn. Was hoping this one would be passable. Didn't like any of their other bars, and only Smores was OK

I was sent 1 full size bar of that flavor I thought it was pretty decent given the context within their own line it was my 2nd fav flavor as the salted caramel pretzel was better.

Apple Crumb Cake - It is more mild but it does have little bits of apple throughout but it is Apple Crumb Cake which is less apple more of a apple cinnamon spice bread so I expected it as that.

Crumb Cake is not a heavy apple bread but a more mild apple most bakery made Crumb Cake would be an ok example tho I find many use far to much sugar so maybe maybe not but the more classic approach certainly.

Coffee cake is not like a pie :) which is how I took the comment of "Apple Flavor" so I think perspective needs to be added on what it is trying to mimic.

I do agree in their line they should have used dif crunchy bits with perhaps more flavor as in the case of the cookie bar it detracted from the experience of tasting the bar in the S'Mores bar I found it like an odd candy brittle which I didn't mind either these are both much better bar's for the Caramel Pretzel and the Apple Crumb Cake ( Coffee Cake ).

This was their best flavor with the salted pretzel which had little tiny mini pretzels throughout; Both of those were much better than their previous bars and I wouldn't be mad at either.

Now given it is a fiber bar this is not something I would typically buy

^^the bits in my apple bar were pretty crunchy and didn't taste like anything. Were they supposed to be crumb cake? Couldn't tell lol. I might not giving it a fair review without having a full size but the apple flavour was mild so won't bother...

I suspect the hard bits are trying to mimic the crumb topping it self, the dried apple is much less hard but given it's not using a lot of it; it's possible the mini bar might not had much. This is just my speculation of course! haha I am not sure what they were thinking but if I was ever to talk to them on the formulation of it I would be interested in asking their thought process behind each flavor.

In the pic I posted of my sliced in half bar those bigger bits are the hard crunchy parts which I think is supposed to mimic the crumb topping the apple it self is in little tinier bits throughout.

Did like both of those newer flavors well enough the salted caramel pretzel more so

Told ya ;-) I think Carmel pretzel will be pretty good

Anyone here had one?
Reviews look top tier, but I'd feel better with an AM review

Just tried my first Oh Yeah! ONE bars (birthday cake and almond bliss) -- and they are leagues ahead of Quest and what I'd previously had. For the macros, the texture and taste are way better. Also have white chocolate raspberry I snagged from LO that I'll be sampling tomorrow.

Grab a lemon. I am not a huge lemon fan but its killer

^Oh Yeah has a few really well done ones, winning formulation over there with the sweeteners as well, zero after taste or grit

I was way behind on trying them (availability) but am very glad I did.

Iirc GNO hooked up my first ❤️

So far I've liked Bday Cake, Chocolate Bday Cake and Almond Bliss. Only had 1 bite of Mint Chocolate but it was heavenly

1 bite?!
Self-ctrl is strong lol

Bite of someone else's?

Have been hearing some negative feedback on the Chocolate Birthday Cake ONE bar. Haven't tried it yet, I really like the regular Birthday Cake one.

Choc Bday Cake ONE --> Its no where near as sweet as the OG. It has the chocolate taste + Sprinkles. I personally enjoy the regular birthday cake better because i love sweet things. You get the cake batter feel with the original the chocolate not so much. If they found a way to give like 50/50 chocolate and cake batter it would be epic.
