I like to keep it quick as im always on the go. This is a recipe for my preworkout meal, 2 hrs before. Take an AP and some max reps before training and good to go, great pumps. I personally find this works for me pre workout because it has adequate protein, a large amount of slow carbs and some fats to slow digestion down even more. I hate training empty stomach and i usually do at least two hours. This fuels me perfectly.

2 scoops chocolate modern protein
6 carbs 7 fat 46 pro 280cals

100G oatmeal
65.9 carb 6.3 fat 17.pro 368cals

2Tbls pb fit powder
4 carbs 1.5 fat 5 pro 55cals

1 serving Coconut flakes
7 carbs 5 fat 1 pro 70cals

Overall:
82.9carbs. 19.3fat. 69.1pro. 773cals

Directions: Mix protein and oats together, sprinkle pb fit and coconut flakes on top. Eat with a spoon.

Also, I'm late, but I want to share my absolute favorite protein shake recipe. It's simple and it legit tastes like a full-fat ice cream milkshake. It's insane. The melted-vanilla-ice-cream flavor of Modern Protein's vanilla works absolutely perfectly with it.

Invalid Link Removed

You will need:
-An over-ripe frozen banana*
-1 cup 2% or higher milk (bonus points for fairlife)
-1 scoop Vanilla Ice Cream Modern Protein
-1tsp cinnamon
-1/4tsp nutmeg

Directions:
1. Run the frozen banana under warm water for ~30 seconds, turning to coat all sides. It should peel very easily after this.
2. Break the banana into 2-3 pieces and place in blender.
3. Add milk, cinnamon, and nutmeg
4. Blend on high until well mixed
5. Add scoop of Modern Protein; blend for an additional 15 seconds.*

Enjoy!!

*Notes
-When I say over-ripe, I mean over-ripe. That is the key to this recipe. When you let a banana get fully brown before freezing, it takes on an entirely different texture and flavor. It becomes gelatinous, almost like a jello pudding pop and the flavor becomes much sweeter.

-Adding the Modern Protein powder AFTER the other ingredients are blended is crucial. If you add it before, the entire mixture will become too frothy/foamy. If you follow my directions exactly, you will have a healthy treat with great macros that tastes as good or better than a real vanilla ice cream shake.

I think this will be my next Protein I buy. Is it as good as SELECT?

Select is awesome, but the blend of protein types in here is far superior in my opinion. I use both. Have both vanillas on hand. Flavor wise i cant call it, both good. But post training i would much rather have modern protein. They did a great job.

I will be placing an order for the Vanilla flavored Modern Protein.

Nice dude. Yea i gotta do an all out cheat meal one of these days. Have been pretty controlled thus far.

Looks like i might have to pick one of those up. Would never have thoughht they were any good...

I'll eat a double meat cheese Hamburger, fries, ice cream wait about 6 hours or so and have a 300 nutrient dense shake in a day and only a few hundred calories over....

its just simple planning......

Another good thing is cut back the other meals to compensate for the cheat meal.
Its about how you set it up. Not acting like a glutton for a day and setting yourself back for several days or a week.
Method to the madness :)

Very true fellas. Ive always been very strict on my diets because it works for me. Once i start making exceptions i get carried away. I know myself. Unfortunately those cheat meals may have a bad effect on my addictive personality... So in short i ordered an ice cream maker lol

We are human. We do not get paid to have perfect diets, we do not get paid to hit X or Y macros. Got to live life. Have your cake and eat it too my man.
Not like your 2 days out from a competition or anything along those lines.
