Assault rifles are automatic. Assault rifles are pretty well regulated, and aren't "in our households," and aren't what's being used in many shootings. The new term to terrify people is assault weapon. They look like scary assault rifles, but are semi-automatic, just like many hunting rifles. Take your average semi-automatic hunting rifle, swap out the wooden stock for a black AR-style stock with a pistol grip and now it's an assault weapon.
 
Still, not allowing assault weapons to be sold in stores still helps keep it out of people's hands who shouldn't have them. I believe this last shooter bought his from a store. It's not the easiest thing to buy from the black market. You'd have to have proper $$$$ and smarts to do it, meaning, part of an organization. At least keeping them out of the stores should keep them out of the hands of crazy people like this kid who shot up the club. It's just one step. Of course terrorists and such will get their weapons from other sources.

Shotguns are always a good option for home defense, but the recoil and/or pumping required can be a put-off for many people. In that case, pistol caliber carbines are a viable alternative. Being able to hold it steady with a stock is a big advantage over a pistol, as are the improved sights. Plus, unlike rifles (223, 7.62, etc) you don't run as much of a risk of over penetration, since there are quality hollow points (scary, I know) that will not go through your walls and your neighbors walls.

I think that video is rather silly, its not like they were bringing them to the front step. Maybe they had them way back and when things calmed down they needed to bring them back the other way for some reason.
 
It looked like the emergency vehicles were coming from that direction. Wasnt there a hospital nearby? That'd explain the vehicles coming from that way.

Ask the thugs in Chicago how easily they can get their illegal guns. The problem as always is that new laws don't stop criminals. There are statistics showing the Clinton assault weapons ban had very little effect on gun crimes.

My vest in combat held 10-30rd magazines of 5.56. And if you're going to town with an M4/AR-15 (whatever he officially had) 30 rounds goes really fast. Even if he had two double stack pouches attached to his best front that's 20 magazines plus one in the weapon. Did they find a crap load of empty magazines laying around at the scene?

Not sure. So you agree that something's fishy and it seems like he may not have been the only one in the club gunning people down?
I know next to nothing about guns so I'm deferring to the more knowledgeable individuals about this.

I trust my source who knows someone in there who say 3 gunman. By accounts could have been more, including 2 snipers on rooftops but this is seperate from my source.

We have militias today, and they do a terrific job protecting our borders unlike official Border Patrol where the White House gives them the stand down orders to let illegals flood over here.

There are militias across the country, Id feel the safest around them than walking in gun free zones such as the Bronx or Brooklyn late at night.

Balance of powers is key to our democracy and security.

All I'm saying is I had 16 weeks of basic training. Many days at a range training from people that used those weapons on a daily basis and served in Desert Storm in Iraq; so I had competent instructors. In the national guard we went to the range as often as possible. I have also spent time in my civilian life shooting handguns at local ranges. Then there was 9-10 months in Afghanistan and the 3 month pre-mobilization to prepare us(try) for deployment.

With all that, I am no pro with a rifle. I don't compete, I didn't go to classes to do combat reloads in under a blink of an eye. I am pretty quick but by no means a pro.

So now we have this kid.....did he practice reloading in his room at night? Go to ranges? And supposedly he didn't have the rifle for very long. Where'd he get all the military equipment capable of transporting that? Or the ammunition? If this was his FIRST fire fight, his adrenaline and rage would have been at their peak. And he handled everything with ease and didn't fumble? Didn't have issues reloading over and over to continue firing into a mass of people that didn't have a few seconds to clobber his ass???

One guy? Against a mob? With zero experience. I mean, it could happen. It probably did. But damn that's hard to believe.

Its hard to tell what is going on. The person (my connects source) who was in there said the other two got away.

Personally, and this is my opinion but considering the main shooter has been a DHS contractor insider, and a regular at that gay bar that he may be a victim of the MK-Ultra program.

Yes, I posted this before but the retired DHS high level person said he was investigating him at the mosque he was attending and Hitlery put a stop order on the investigation which if that didnt happened he believes this would have been prevented.

Im pretty sure this guy is the biggest puss to ever fall out of a vagina. There's no way an AR15 bruised his shoulder if he had it against his shoulder to start with. An AR is easier to shoot, with drastically less recoil than shooting a 40 Cal handgun.

Obama has been calling ISIS something else, which is ISIL since the very beginning after he created them. I mostly only hear him say ISIL. He also refuses to say the words radical islam but Im sure you knew that already.

Yeah I just watched the clip of him explaining why he doesn't say the words "radical Islam" and caught on to the trend of his saying ISIL and not ISIS. Anybody know what it stands for and why he doesn't call them ISIS like everyone else?

The Levant is the area consisting of modern day Israel Syria, and I think part of Lebanon. To many scholars, using ISIL is a snub to Israel, by constantly referring to historical geography that doesnt include Israel's existence. Much like CNN likes to show maps of the Middle East that are factually inacurate that either don't represent Israel properly or not at all.

I respect people's beliefs, but if the Bible was created by people of that land wouldnt it be slightly biased to say "protect this place.?"

Really, Jesus would want all countries to be protected and all people protected. Jesus would want us to be allies with every country, and I think he would want to tear town borders and end division. I dont believe god or Jesus need a specific landing spot for the rapture or really need the place to be in peace. Its like saying God isnt powerful, it just doesnt make sense but this is just my opinion.

Considering the Bible covers much more Geography than Israel, I'd have to disagree. There were numerous groups of people that weren't considered God's chosen people. Any other country could have been chosen as God's holy land. But they werent. The rapture won't just land in Israel.
