Well see, here's the deal. Where I'm originally from (Canada), there are multiple parties, but overall - there are 3 big ones (and a couple fringe ones).

There's the Progressive Conservative party (PC's) who are very right wing.

There's the Liberal Party (slightly right of center but very moderate). I used to always vote for them, as I'm a moderate and a pragmatist.

Then there's the NDP party, National Democratic Party, who are very left of center.

If I become an American citizen, I would always vote Democrat, or Independent. I would certainly consider a 3rd option. In fact I mentioned Gary Johnson not long ago in this thread.

It's my opinion that the American political system is too monopolistic. There's never enough options here to represent the mass amount of citizens and their interests. 2 parties are just enough to ensure the right people are in place to represent the interests of the corporations and lobbyists.

I agree that the two-party system is not a good thing, haha. The EC really screws over any potential third party in presidential elections.

I've found that, in many cases, and contrary to what many people think, both parties ultimately behave in essentially the same way in a lot of respects, with different justifications for the same actions.

If I do vote in this election, it'll be for Gary Johnson for sure.

Again, there is no way that I am voting for Trump, but it would take me 5 seconds to find the video that shows all of the ways that Hillary has changed her stance on things...major issues. They're both frauds.

I agree. I by no means support Hillary. But I definitely would never ever consider voting for Trump

I've constantly spoken out against her and stated my only support goes out to Sanders, even though he's a bit too far left for my liking. He's the only 'good guy' running, although I also like Gary Johnson, as I also stated. Do me a favor and stop posting unless you actually read, ok?

Thats certainly true, but it also inspires people to vote for their own race or sex just cause its cool who wouldnt have voted if the scenario wasnt present. The answers may be found in the various voting statistics.

Yeah I think this is about right with you. In general I think you have some of the problems I have. I hate Obama then people think I love Bush and Romney. You hate Dump so people may think you love Hitlery. People are caught up in the false left/right paradigm.

I don't want him to leave, he makes these threads good. You should have been around when he gave me a psychological analysis and categorized me as having various specific mental illnesses. It was intenet gold, lol!
 
Also, there were a TON of minorities and previous Obama supporters (in NYC) who stood up strongly for Sanders. Many people felt empowered by him as much as they did by Obama. Even more so in fact, as Bernie is much less a product of the system.

This is a good point. I think it would inspire just general voter turnout in blacks who already lean on that conservative side, that's what I meant rather than party flipping.

I honestly can't say to what extent though that's the truth.

It's a different era, Obama woke ALOT of people up and they think differently than 8 years ago....I think.

If it were to happen the southeast and Texas would become a theocracy almost immediently. The north and California would probably be like Denmark, norway, or Iceland maybe Switzerland. The Midwest would probably be very similar to the Cayman islands without all of the rich people. And the north west would just turn into Canada.

Have you read Sanders' tax plan. Even if yore not making a ton of money, you're going to be paying a lot more in taxes. He's not crazy like Trump or untrustworthy like Clinton, but he's just too far to the left.

Unlikely, but within a party sure. If all things are equal and you want to help be a part of history? Again, I know many who did it for Obama and plan on doing it for Hillary.

That's because Obama crapped on blacks the last 7.5 years. Where is the black unemploymentry rate compared to everyone else? Close to double. He let down black people all over the country.

On the GOP side of things, maybe a bit, but it wouldn't be tooo inspirational there imo. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that many black republicans have likely lost or turned away from their culture and have greatly embraced white culture.

Thats what I was thinking and that there shows something. I wish they has overall turnout but % is telling. Compared to 2004, 2008 and 2012 both blacks and Hispanics jumped when Obama ran both times.

I would have expected after Bush's 1st terms considering how many people hated him since he was the white racist supremacist (personally, I dont think he was a racist but Bush did not believe in human nature, lol) that minority votes would turn out to be as much or stronger than even when the half black guy ran.

In fact minorities didnt even show up stronger than when Bush 1st ran before people knew what they had. If John Kerry was 1/3rd black maybe that would have gotten a higher vote for him.

Then again, maybe far less white people showed up reason we need overall voter turnout #'s which Im lazy to find on a sunday have some boxing to catch up to, lol.

No really, I dont wake up every morning thinking how wonderful my white culture and have a sense of belonging to something. Then I dont get why it would be racist if I did so but ok for black people to do it. Just be a human dammit.

An anti-gay Afghani Muslim became a U.S. Citizen and wore a suicide vest to a gay nightclub and opened fire. Seriously? This world is so messed up. Now ISIS is tweeting support for this a$$? Ramadan is just starting, be careful guys, let's hope this won't be a series of attacks during their holiday

He aint the "suspect", he's the confirmed shooter. I read that he has Afghan parents but I'm insure if he was born here or not though. And i read something on bbc where his dad said the guy "got very angry when seeing two men kissing in Miami a few months ago."

Its very sad regardless. How the hell he made it in a nightclub with an AR is beyond me. Bouncers went home already or what?

Very true. Guns aren't normally pulled on club bouncers though. They usually just deal with drunken idiots. Clubs should maybe have a couple armed security on site though

Actually it was a private night club, so I would say it would be up to them to allowed carry on or not, but your right at least the bouncers should be armed.

A good concealed means nobody knows you're strapped. And that's how I'd like to keep it. Can't remember the last club I went to that gave me a pat down or had a metal detector.

This was not in response to the shooter. A statement was released this Tweet was pre-scheduled long before the shooting occurred.

Not sure if I believe this or not, but it was the statement released

I believe Florida law prohibits concealed carry in any establishment that serves alcohol.
