Dude, this stack destroyed my previous PRs on Overhead Press! I'm definitely leaning out in the mirror, my clothes are fitting looser in the midsection, and my lifting belt is almost ready to move another notch already! I was at 2 for months, soon after starting this I went to notch 3, now it's that awkward kind of loose when 3 doesn't hold it firm, but 4 is too tight. But its moving to notch 4. I'm really seeing new vascularity in my upper arms as well. The veins in my bicep can be seen faintly spreading out in my shoulder and wrapping around to my chest when I flex. I love veins, so this is huge for me! I will try and get a good selfie of the new veins tomorrow and put it next to the earlier on-cycle pics for comparison!
 
~UPDATE:
-Did my 60m LISS on an empty stomach this morning, as usual. Unknown distance, unknown heart rate. Outside on the gravel driveway.
-Weighed in at 199lbs, down 1lbs since yesterday. Still fluctuating, but currently up 5lbs from pre-cycle weight. Mind you, this is a recomp, so I'm not using the weight as a big indicator of progress.

~Notes:
-Usual partner bailed today, never texted me at all (supposedly proposing to his girlfriend of 4 years) so I went to the gym expecting to lift solo and the biggest guy there (6' 4", 330lbs, benches 600lbs) wanted to lift with me, and pushed me to really try weights I wasn't comfortable with. It paid off.
-Took my time talking a lot between sets, he is a big talker, haha. So it wasn't rapid, but I'm still pleased with this workout.


What else can I say? The work outs are getting better and better. Clearly this cycle is working for me. I need to start posting more selfies, but the measurements down the line will be very telling.

Putting in some serious work, nice.

Thanks, man! I really liked the Floor Presses! I'd never done them either, but you lay down in the Squat Rack, arms positioned like you would at the bench, and just press as you would would on a bench press. You can do a lot more weight on this since the reps are complete when both upper arms are flat against the floor. So it guarantees you at least go parallel with the reps, and for myself it was just shy of touching my chest each rep. But this of course has to do with variables like arm length, and chest/torso thickness.

I took a photo trying to show the newer vascularity that's appearing on the delts into my chest, but my phone simply isn't good enough to capture it. I upped the sharpness a bit since my phone washed it out significantly.

Thanks, brother! I honestly think the willingness to push myself harder because I had a spotter 130lbs heavier than myself was key. I've set PRs with this guy before, it just helps mentally so much.

Thanks, brother! I honestly think the willingness to push myself harder because I had a spotter 130lbs heavier than myself was key. I've set PRs with this guy before, it just helps mentally so much.

This is how I feel when I work out with my 290lb bodybuilder buddy, same height as me and only slightly higher body fat... He warms up with my working sets. As a result, I end up using much heavier weight than I think I'm capable of.

This guys in the exact same, he warms up with my working sets, haha. But there is something motivating about working with someone bigger and stronger, your confidence when being spotted goes up as well, I don't mind risking failure when my spotter can toss the weight around like nothing if need be.

Haha, you get it, bro! That's exactly how it is! It was funny though, because he asked me to spot him on Overhead Press and put 405 on it. I was like "I can't spot this..." and he told me "A little help is better none!" haha

Not having a workout partner anymore does suck. But in my case I found it's better not worrying about relying on a partner to workout with, if they get lazy I always do the same.

I know how you feel, man. My old lifting partner skips 2 out of the 3 lift days per week anymore, and when he does show up, he isn't motivated to go that hard, kind of holds me back. You do better with someone who is pushing you, and is willing to be pushed themselves. A good lifting partner is hard to come by! I think I'm going to sever ties with my old partner, with him getting engaged and barely showing up anymore, it's just not working. I'd prefer to lift on my own and do twice as much volume anyways.
 
Those few days my brother comes into town on leave I always work my ass off in the gym with him, feel it too. Lol. I really believe my progress is slower on my own not being as motivated or as eager to try & push that last rep, but I'm steady. Awesome you have a solid workout partner.

You're on to something here lol , would be cool when the big shows come around to plan for everyone on AM (who is traveling to the shows) to meet at a local gym !

GNO told me you stopped by! I only left the booth twice that I know of, once making trips to get more water for the free samples, and the other time to see CT Fletcher. Some how I missed you stopping by during one of those. But it was an awesome expo, right?? It was my first time being on the booth side of it, met a lot of really cool people, it was a good time.

It was definitely a cool experience! First time at an expo for me.

**Total Reps: 223 (+11 reps from last time)

~Notes:
-Partner was there, but training someone else, so most of my workout was solo and without a spotter. Twice I had other people spot me however.

Nothing impressive about this workout. Didn't quantify the difference on Barbell Bench Press and Barbell Incline Bench Press from last time because the numbers were all over the place, not as simplistic as with the other exercises. The more rapid pace I was exercising at without a partner was likely contributing to the difficulty with the weights, I didn't have the same lengthy rest between sets I did last Friday talking to a lifting partner.

And regarding my BP/RHR...

9:35pm - Left Arm Blood Pressure: 146/85 ("Mild"), Pulse: 100
9:49pm - Right Arm Blood Pressure: 143/83 ("Mild"), Pulse: 96

And here I thought my Blood Pressure and Resting Heart Rate had. I guess not! I took these after lifting, but I doubt that could account for it being essentially just as bad as it previously was.
