His positions (as usual) have been far from consistent:
“We really have no choice,” the GOP’s leading contender for the presidential nomination said. “We have to knock out ISIS. We have to knock the hell out of them. We have to get rid of it. And then come back and rebuild our country, which is falling apart. We have no choice.”

Asked how many troops he would commit, Trump said, “I would listen to the generals, but I'm hearing numbers of 20,000 to 30,000. We have to knock them out fast … So, the answer is we have to knock them out. We have to knock them out fast. And we have to get back home. Deputy editorial page editor Jackson Diehl asked the billionaire, “Could I ask you about ISIS, speaking of making commitments, because you talked recently about possibly sending 20 or 30,000 troops and —“

Interrupting Diehl, Trump said, “No I didn’t, oh no no no, okay, I know what you’re saying. There was a question asked to me. I said that the military, the generals have said that 20- to 30,000. They said, would you send troops? I didn’t say send 20,000. I said, well the generals are saying you’d need because they, what would it take to wipe out ISIS, I said pretty much exactly this, I said the generals, the military is saying you would need 20- to 30,000 troops, but I didn’t say that I would send them.”

Asked if he would commit troops if in fact some generals told him that was what was needed to defeat ISIS, Trump let fly with this barrage of words:

“I find it hard to go along with — I mention that as an example because it’s so much. That’s why I brought that up. But a couple of people have said the same thing as you, where they said, ‘Did I say that,’ and I said that that’s a number that I heard would be needed. I would find it very, very hard to send that many troops to take care of it. I would say this, I would put tremendous pressure on other countries that are over there to use their troops and I’d give them tremendous air supporters and support, because we have to get rid of ISIS, okay, just so — we have to get rid of ISIS. I would get other countries to become very much involved.”

Trump invented the u-turn. He stated in an interview with Fox that he's done whatever it takes to win. And everyone is blind and/or playing dumb to his shenanigans.

I disagreed with the "weak" policies. I dont think they are weak policies when they are intended to cause the chaos it has become therefore estabishing bigger government and more financing for the military industrial complex continuing all the wars that he has said he ended or about to end.

Those policies are strong not weak....just lies lies lies.

Hell, he's been a Democrat far longer than a Republican in the past ten years too. Who the fvk really knows what to expect from him if he's voted in.

At least Trump is flip flopping now and not sticking to a single scripted story and promise. Obama told us whats up and didnt flip flop, I voted for him and then after he took office he did a 180 and stabbed this country in the back.

Pointing out the flaws in one person doesn't make someone a supporter of the other. It is telling how so few people can actually defend anything he says though and must say "well Hillary sucks!" From this thread it would seem the strongest argument one can make for supporting and believing in Donald Trump is that Hillary is bad.

I'm not really big on either party and haven't been for a long while as my history has shown.

I was a huge fan of the Dune series of books. If anyone's read them, they may see similarities here. America needs to completely fail before it learns it's mistakes. It's on that path now.

90% of Trump's party hate him. They're starting to get in line now because they are forced to endorse him if they want to win, and they'll do whatever sh1t it takes to win. It's ridiculous how everyone is starting to make a u-turn themselves, within the party, after everything they've said of him.

when I was young iwas a liberal like a lot of young people tend to be. when I turned 18 I voted for jimmy carter. a few months later I joined the military and became and adult, I have not voted for a democrat for president since carter-once was enough....

one of my favotite politicians of all time does happen to be a democrat...evan bayh, I voted for him as governor of Indiana twice, if evan were to ever run for president I would make an exception for him...but evan quit politics because he was disgusted with the whole thing!!!

If there truly is no low that's too low for Trump, he has proven one thing to you for sure; he will do whatever it takes to get his job done.
