Smith_69's Getting Battle Ready with MST's Elite RagNOrok

Yeah, but we're offended by the retraction. How about that?

LOL.. can I fall back on that old chestnut adage "You can't please em all"?

Or does it go "You can please some of the people all of the time, and you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time" ? Or something like that. Wasn't there a twist to that saying?

.. what was I saying again?

BTW, I realize we are just fueling the fire to continue the "sit-in" hijacking of Smith_69's thread :)

Occupy Smith_69's Thread!!! (somehow it is just not as catchy as "Occupy Wallstreet") LOL

EDIT: Hmm, thought this was supposed to be the Stim-Free version of Rag.... :D

EDIT2: I did mix some of another PWO (that I had left over) in with an afternoon protein shake today since I was starting to drag, and the conference call I was on was threatening to put me to sleep. It didn't do much for me earlier, but I think it is starting to kick in. Then again I had opened the Rag container to see the look and smell of it... hmmm, wonder which one is to blame for my bouncing off the walls currently?!? :)

coming my good man
wife left for China this morning, kids stayed at inlaws last night and been busy getting rates for moving companies and stuff.

Dude! You moving to China? That is awesome!! Details please. I've always wanted to go. but haven't had the opportunity yet.

Asia in the summer is ****ING HOT. It's either humid or dry depending on how far East or West you are. Cool to visit, but living there is different. I've spent a total of close to two years in different parts, so any questions let me know and I'll help out (best I can anyway).

took Rag today PWO for the first time. About half way through the workout I was thinking that it gave about the same pump as my "homemade" PWO, but maybe got me there a little faster. By the end of the workout I changed that to Rag being a much better/fuller pump, including the endurance others have noted. I had probably the best chest workout since I got back into lifting, even throwing in an exercise I have not done since before my shoulder blowout. So that is a plus. Ironically I hit chest so hard that when I went to do my tri's they were pretty much wiped out and I could not hit my normal weights/reps. I had "gas left in my tank" in general, but my triceps were running on fumes LOL. I took them to failure anyways, just took less time and weight than it normally does :D but they are no less "worked" imo than after other workouts, possibly even more so.

I also noted that I had a little less vascularity compared to my old PWO, but then again I have not yet added carbs/protein to my Rag dose to make it "comparable" in those terms. If the rest of today goes well I am probably going to expedite that addition for tomorrow's workout :D (yea, I liked it that much already)

And so far no GI issues (holding my breath on that point still).

I wanted to thank Smith for this log (and Sparks for his) since they motivated/pointed me towards trying Rag.

5/18 was a cardio day- wanted to see what it would do and how i would feel. just treadmill with a fast walk and some stair master. I obviously didnt get an insane pump but i again felt focused during this session. I had energy and was in a positive mood which is a plus because i hate cardio.

5/19 bi's

switched up my routine a bit. hairygrandpa standing db curls,
spider curls with curl bar
rev forearm curls ss with straight bar curls
cable concentration curls

great pump today, Rag helps to keep the focus and the pump, man im telling you. When your arm is stretching your shirt, its awesome
hairygrandpa uses his grandkids shirts when he trains so he looks swollen lmao

5/20 - Full work day so again i took Rag as 12 hour days suck enough, so i wanted to stay focused and on point. No gym yesterday and will be going today for Tri's. I have a full afternoon of activities; family friend graduation and Christening later tonight.
Even though i didnt do any gym stuff, Rag was somewhat effective.

5/21
will hit the gym in a few and after looking at the bottle, i have a few days left. My thoughts now arent going to change in 3-4 days so I am going to give the final tomorrow.

outstanding product

You're on the right track! Put a little bit more effort in and you grow as strong as me.

hairygrandpa is a schmedium, that's why shirts fit tight.

Nah, it's not the shirt. I grow out of them every few days.
Wanna know how strong I am?
While sitting on my PC I have to breathe very shallow. If i inhale to strong the keyboard flies under my nose and stays there.

Are you going to include final gains from run?

I didnt really pick up any large amount of "muscle" gains to speak of. Using Rag during my workout made my workouts more bearable; stamina, pumps and focus. So the gains i did have are just as valuable to me. Coming off the last cycle of Spartan, my strength pretty much stayed where it was. So that is another gain in my book.

So how do you rate it compared to creatine? I haven't used any workout products in years, with creatine being my go-to.

5/21 was chest day- incline, flat, db flies and incline flies and finished with dips.

the only thing that i noticed is the flavor isnt as intense as it was during the first few weeks. it really isnt a big deal, so that is the only neg thing. if you want to call it that- great pump on my chest with another focused workout.

5/23- shoulders

hammer strength press, 5 sets of increasing wgt, then 90 lb each side super set with shurgs. just had the energy to keep going and get a great pump.
ez bar front raises- 3 sets
side lat db raises and superset with shrugs again-

killed traps and shoulders pumped big time great workout

Absolutely love Hammer Strength machines, bro. They feel the best and I love how they're plate-loaded. I wish all gyms had them.

Everybody loves Hammer Strength. First time I used one was probably 10 years ago, really thought they'd have taken over the gyms by now.

I love hammer strength too for sure. But i also love me some free weights. I do more work with a barbell than anything else

That's an interesting observation about the taste. I wonder if that's an acclimation thing or if the batch is off. Through the week, I just usually dump the scoop in my mouth and chase it so the taste is always pretty intense. helps to wake me up though!

Yeah buddy! That's how I always take pre except for this log. Trying to follow directions to a "T".

Hell yeah! Pixie-stick style! I will say that you want to try it that way with Rag, be careful. It's almost as fine as instantized BCAAs so if you inhale at all before adding water, you will cough!

might give that a shot. again, it isn't completely bad or tasteless. still a great product

Nah, bro. I understand getting used to the taste of something or just needing something different. I really wish we made more than one flavor of Rag. As it is, I have 4-5 different PWOs in different flavors.

I will say this and maybe this will help some when thinking what will it taste like. it isn't over powering, it isn't faint but if you wanted to drink this with Gatorade fruit punch or even orange, you still get all the benefits of the product. This allowed me to tweak flavors if I wanted

Too true. Actually, I'm going to pick up some Gatorade and try it. I wish they still made the "Rain" line of Gatorade. That would've been perfect to mix with Rag because of how light the flavouring was.

Ahhhh, this is what happens when I'm out of the country for years at a time! I can't even get a Baja Blast at the TacoBell's here and I have to travel 2 hours for the nearest Chipotle! Now you're telling me Gatorade Rain still exists?
