I understand that supplementation is potentially helpful only if your serum DHEA-s is low: very likely if you are over 40 and unlikely if you are in your 20's. That said, mine was 95 mcg/dL in Jan 2016, and after several months of supplementing orally with 25mg capsules daily, I noticed nothing physically and lab test showed it dropped to 94. (Grrrrrr)
I have since switched to transdermal DHEA cream and after 2 weeks, I have an improved general feeling of well being, libido has increased significantly and am starting to lose body fat again. Uncertain if it makes any difference for LBM gains...if so its not significant and hasn't been effective long enough to tell anyway.
Checking labs again appx 90 days out, I suspect I'll see higher numbers.
