Douchebags at the gym...

I always wipe down and rerack etc.(except always leave 135lbs on flat bench) Yesterday some folks were waiting for me to finish and when done I said "Let me get some paper towels and disinfectant to wipe down the equipment." They said "cool thanks". I said "It is the right thing to do besides I do not want to endup as a post in the douchebags at the gym thread." Got a chuckle from that one.

If it's not the skinny abs guy it's the guy picking something out of his teeth or popping a zit in the mirror guy. It's honestly never ending

I wonder if the fact I don't know the proper use of irony is ironic or not?

This thread makes me appreciate my bench and the small amount of equipment I have at home!

I was called a D-bag in another forum for even leaving 135lbs on flat bench barbell.
 
It seems it urks a lot of people when that's done, but its not a huge deal to move the plates. Even more so when if you pyramid. I don't mind, its a nice little trap workout.

I wish people would give me a little space today while deadlifting. So much activity going on so close to me and the guy who works at LA Fitness decides to clean up the mirror right where I'm doing deadlifts. It was so distracting I rounded my back for a mere second and felt a twinge. Thank god it went away but damn people chill...smh...oh and I really hate spectators. I always catch them watching and give them the evil eye..one eyebrow raised eyelids pinched so tightly I could cut glass...."I see you"
 
I try not to rely on the mirror mostly do listen to my body, it helps some people but I get distracted by my own beautiful green eyes. I learned to "zen" lift to ignore other people, doesn't tune everyone out but it also helps me relax. Meditative lifting is what I'd call it.

I've had similar issues with the people vacuuming while I'm trying to do something. I understand you have a job to do, but I'm right here lol

Dude that's the worst. Vacuuming and wrapping the extension cord around everything, trying to vacuum between your legs during deads.. Okay so the second part was exaggerated a little but you get the point.

Did I tell you guys that I went on a date and all he could talk about was supps, diets, and exercise programs.

Now, I don't mind talking about that stuff (I actually like it) but apparently he thought I didn't know anything, so I threw out my AM knowledge and caught him off guard.

Yes, I know about those supps.
Yes, I know about that program.
Yasss, I know about that diet plan. ?

2nd date you should see how much he benches, Deadlifts, and squats. If he has good form and strong af then he is g2g :D lol.

Haha, he's been out of the gym for a year! Talking about... I'm just getting back in and doing light abs and arms. I don't want my legs to grow too big.

I'd say its more important he can dance. Most guys don't know how to properly use the pelvis.

Oh has our gym been great lately. I love spotting some kid squat 185 with bad form then help him up after he failed. Best part is he goes to 225 does one rep and fails.

Then we've got a kid that's 17-18 wants to play foosball thus spring at Jr. Collage. His genetics are amazing perfect vshape back full shoulders he probably could compete. But he was squatting today 225 for 5 was doing more good mornings then squats. Friday this same kid benched 110dbs 3x15 then stands in the mirro and flex.

Why does it seem that the kids with great genetics are such douches???

I would be less concerned about him flexing in the mirror and more concerned about the fact that he hopes to play competitive foosball in college.
 
Sitting here taking up one of the 2 flat benches texting. For like forever. Makes me so mad.

She's probably saying " OMG I'm getting so many gains sitting here I need to stop coming cuz there's guys taking pictures of me I think he must like wanna meet up after and talk about my hard work and rock solid glutes"

Not unless youre sitting on one of two benches in a busy gym on your phone hogging it for ten minutes without doing a single exercise
 
To top that off when she started doing any lifting she used that bench for seated shoulder press. The flat bench. For shoulder press instead of using one of the benches designed for that lift. Drives me nuts.
