Well, if there is a slight difference population always needs to be decreased to as where climate change went from "its global cooling, no global warming, I meant cooling, no I meant warming, oh no, this time we really got it right, its CLIMATE CHANGE!!!"

I beg to differ. The bolded above is a pretty absolute statement.

Climate change doesn't happen overnight, that's why it's good to have a headstart. Of course, now it's probably too late anyway.....


Because according to deniers, "it would cost too much money". Money won't mean sh1t when it does happen, LOL.

There is also alot of people that would lose too much money as well if they dont ram this down our throats, we are talking billions for certain and trillions probably at stake for something that is scientifically inconclusive (as regards to man made climate change.)

But hey Im all for cleaning up the environment and modernizing energy.

On a side note, I am extremely ashamed to have lived in Mississippi from birth until my 20's.

The new law that was just passed is a disgrace, and shows how backward the South is to this day. :zx11pissed:

No, I think it is for transgender people. Those that dress as females or have had surgery to become a female, or vice versa.

does this include cross dressers? how about a guy who says he is gay?

I have 2 granddaughters and a 3rd on the way, this looks like it has the potential for a whole lot of perversion going on in the ladies room.....I really can see a lot of abuse arising from this, perverts have been spying on womens bathrooms/locker rooms forever, it looks like this law could potentially give perverts legal access!!!

That's not the law I'm referring to. This law just passed makes it legal to discriminate against someone based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Read that link.
 
Let's not kid ourselves here.. there have been gay guys going into the same locker room as you and same restroom as you forever. You just didn't know and/or think about it. While I'm not on board with all of this hoopla, I also have to step back a minute and remember...there's a pretty big chance that if someone is in the bathroom next to you taking a leak, it's because he had to take a leak - not because he wants to get a quick glance at your wang. Does perversion happen? Absolutely. Unfortunately, it always has and will continue to happen. Same principle applies - if you catch someone doing something wrong, deal with it as it happens.

what about dudes in the ladies room, that is my concern...I have granddaughters!!!
 
The issue with allowing people "who identify as the opposite sex" using said bathrooms opens up to perverted males "claiming to identify " as a female in order to saunter into the women's bathrooms. That's far different than someone actively trying to be the other sex. I recall a Planet Fitness allowing douchebag males into women's locker room because they "identified" as a female, even though they didn't actively dress and act like one.

maybe I am paranoid but this sounds like a situation that was made for child molesters waiting for young girls to come in on their own...I do not like this!!!

I'm not saying at all that I agree with this, but I do see where the law comes into play here. It becomes very hard to call someone's BS if you catch a guy in the ladies room and call the police and all the guy has to tell the cops is "I identify as female" and he gets away with it. I would like to believe there would have to be some sort of precedent in that person's life (they've identified themselves as female at some point in the past, etc.). There's all sorts of whack-job situations that can be made up these days and the super liberal feed the need to OK it all. "Yeah, I know I'm constantly posting stuff on Facebook about how I love going out every weekend and hooking up with different girls, but officer - I swear I just came out of the closet to identify as female YESTERDAY!" kind of stuff.

face it there are predators out there, protecting young girls from them supercede's a transgenders right to what bathroom he/she uses!!!

Like it or not, true transgenders wouldn't have a problem identifying - that's IF they were creeping, which they probably are not. And if they are creeping, standard laws should apply no matter what identity.

I think you believe I'm disagreeing with you - I'm not. I know there are predators out there. And I'm all for protecting young kids from them. I just think it needs to be done legally to avoid having something overturned later and a pedophile walking on a technicality. I do NOT think we need to make new laws based on gender identity. Too many problems these days are "solved" by creating new bull**** laws to avoid hurting someones feelings and they don't really end up solving any problems at all.

a little girl's body was found by the banks of the white river a few days ago, she was 4 years old and had been raped....

I accept that gays are here and have come to grips with this....but all day everyday I will put children's safety above gay right's!!!

Unlimited population growth is also sustainable by the Earth ya? We don't need science to tell us that it's not sustainable and that we're draining our resources and destroying the planet at a pretty alarming rate.
