Self injection site preferences?

I'm definitely considering the lower, more frequent dosing, once the doc is finished with the blood testing/dose adjustment phase.

Although I'm still waiting for the syringes, a 90 day supply of test ethanate arrived today. From what I read, this may be a little thicker than test cypionate and maybe a little more difficult to inject with a smaller gauge. Would this change anyone's view 're: gauge? (If it makes any difference, the doc's starting dose is 1 mL (200 mg) every 2 weeks.
Split the 200 mgs in fourths and inject 50mgs every 3.5 days. You'll feel much better and won't crash. Find another Dr too.

I have been pinning in my upper thigh for a month and it has been fine. Today I tried pinning in the lower area which is more muscular and it hurt like crazy. It actually felt like I hit a nerve and had to back the needle out. Plus it was harder to poke in. What gives?

Are you sure you didn't pin into your IT band? I don't like using the thigh because the IT band is essentially more or less like a big tendon, plus if there's any PIP, it really sucks walking/squating.

Not sure what the IT band is or does. I stuck it in the most muscular part of the thing towards the knee. I went in about 1.25" and hit sharp shooting pain. Backed it off 1/4" and hit the plunger. Had a bit of oil ooze back out and had some bleeding for a couple minutes. No soreness afterwards though.

So for my first cycle I am ordering 1inch needles.
I will most likely pin glutes.
Maybe delts.. That's doubtful as it seems like hell thinking about it!
Are 1inch needles good for glutes and delts, and do I stick the needle all the way in?

OK, feeling stupid now. Tried to get a couple of syringes at my local pharmacy today, but turns out that they gave me the wrong stuff, so I have to start over.

Also, looked into getting supplies online today, but the place I found told me 1) their syringes only fit their needles, and 2) even when you get the syringe and needle separately, once you mount the needle on the syringe, you can't remove it (to switch from a 23 to a 25 gauge). Do I need to be looking for a particular type of syringe/needle? Not sure what I'm missing.

Why don't you just inject with the 23? I've been using that size to draw and inject for 3 years now.

That is way I'm going, for now at least. I ordered a good supply of 23 gauge online this morning, and finally found a handful of 23 gauge syringes locally, so I will have something to use until the internet order arrives. Had to go to four different places before anybody had some.

****, now I'm worried...

I ordered Covidien - 3 CC Syringe with 22 G X 1.5"X 100
Needle for drawing and 100 - 1in 25g needles

Am I able to twist the needles off that type of syringe?

I wouldn't worry yet. I think the guy who communicated with me was only talking about his own site's products -- not generally. Plus, while he made it sound like their needles couldn't be changed, it is possible that he was just trying to discourage the practice of changing the needles, if his company believes it creates greater risk from a hygienic standpoint.

I can only do quads if it's .5mL at a time. Any more than that for me personally, and I'm crippled for the next 3 days.

LMAO i pinned 3ml in my right quad and .5ml of test c in my left quad the morning before i left for a week long cruise. let me tell you about what its like to be intoxicated and crippled at the same time on a massive moving boat hahaha

Delts are super easy. No pain really

So I just started my cycle including Test Cyp and the first injection I used a 25 G 5/8 for my delt. It went pretty smoothly but there was some soreness and pain for the first 2 days after the injection. I used a 29 G slin pin for my second injection of the first week and went into the deltoid and though it took a lil longer, It was much easier as far as PIP and soreness. I always heat the cyp up as suggested and I make sure to try and inject as slowly as possible. I was gonna use the 29 G slin pins just for HCG but Im thinking I might use the for Delt shots also and use the 25G 5/8 for my ass cheek. If you are going to use the 29G, you MUST have low bodyfat.

I did OK with 23 gauge 1" at both quad and felt locations. Had some momentary discomfort on the last 1/4 inch in the delt, but it passed quickly. NO post- injection soreness for me at either of those locations.
