The irony of this thread starting with the word "douchebags".
"Douchebags ( posting about people who aren't even ) at the gym..." Less ironic

That was the intention. I'd say more ironic.
Aaaaaand just to make it clear, in case it wasn't, I wasn't calling everyone on this thread a D-bag. I was just referring to the rage out a few posts back.![]()
? I was referring to the very same post(s).I knew where you're coming from.? I was referring to the very same post(s).

We are all douchebags in some form or another... weather it's our perfectly formed abbs our fantastic form on our squats or in BlockBuilder's case his oddly shaped micro penis. Lol!
people (except me) who use the squat rack for curling-

I can't stand people who have to take up 2 machines at a time
People who ask you if they can jump in. People who ask if you're almost finished. And then just stand there and wait. People who leave a blender bottle and towel at a machine and then are nowhere to be found. People who put their stuff in a locker without a lock so you open what appears to be an open locker but there's crap in it. You go to a machine that's not being used and then some dude appears tells you that he's on it.
When I see a machine being used I want to use, I don't bother the person using it. I'll just do something else and jump on when it's open. I don't bother you when you are working out so I don't want you bothering me.
People asking to jump on a machine when I am using it happens ALL the time. It's like people just don't have a respect or decency. And most of the time I am too nice and agree to it because I don't want to come across as the douchebag.
And I should add, I'm not the person who does a set and then does the next set 5 minutes later. I'll take a minute break at the most. I don't text or take selfies on machines either
And what's the deal with ovaltine? The can is round, the lid is round. Why don't they just call it roundtine?
Haha, wow....
I'm super setting and a guy came over, took my v-bar off and started using it, then another guy came and took my other bar off and started using it. I'm pretty sure they saw me using them because there's probably 10 people here.
Luckily, I was finished with my last set but damn, have the courtesy to at lease ask if I'm done. All I could do was laugh and walk away..
I was close. All the machines were no more than 3 steps always from each other. It was more of a circuit workout. How far away were you? I ask because sometimes people are nearby and others completely disappear and then come back with no way for me to know they were using a piece of equipment.
If you're not using a machine, it's fair game. You don't own the gym.

Yeah, them asking would have been nice unless they honestly didn't see you using it. I just can't stand the people that are clear across the gym or keep a towel or bottle on a piece of equipment and disappear.
Not really getting much done at the gym today, too dumbfounded watching this guy do quarter rep squats ON THE SMITH MACHINE.
Lol, did they leave the weights on the bar after and walk to the car with ILS?
Fortunately not lol
Also slowly but surely growing tired of the idiot boyfriends teaching their girlfriends to be idiots too. You wanna learn to work out safely and effectively? Don't hire your fat-skinny boyfriend. Get a personal trainer. Pro tip: I'm available![]()

stapppppph it!Not really getting much done at the gym today, too dumbfounded watching this guy do quarter rep squats ON THE SMITH MACHINE.
People asking to jump in are dbags? Yea I don't think so Tim.
I agree, asking to jump in is being considerate instead of just assuming and jumping it, it's a public gym. Don't want "douche bags" asking to jump in then u need a private gym for your self
Guess I'm just different. I never ask anybody if I can jump in. If I'm using a machine, I don't like to be bothered. So I believe I should never bother somebody else if they are using a machine. I'll just go find something else.
I do both, there's people that automatically give you a "I'm cool bro" vibe from the get go and I usually can just walk up with some hand signals and get a set or 2 in I won't go change the weights because if I have to do that then I just need to wait. Then there's people I may ask if they are doing the same weight or excersize and I get the F out the way once I do mine
For sure, you gotta approach based on feel. People that want to jump in on your last heavy set and strip the bar down = no no.

I just wait for people to finish.
I did have an a^^hole tell me how much more important his workout is compared to mine, and that I was ruining his routine because I got to the power rack before him. I asked him if he wanted to work in with me and he said no. I should have cursed him out but instead I moved over. This fcuker did 5 reps of 135 and left.
I had another guy bother me about the squat rack even though the power rack was open. I finally got annoyed, moved over to the power rack, and watched him do a few 65lb curls and move on.![]()

That's partly why I quit. I don't think they would have talked to me that way if I was a guy. What the...
I don't think I could go to your gym. I'd straight lose my ****.
And I thought my gym was bad...
Ooohh.. Curling in the squat rack!? That's gym etiquette 101.

People that curl in the smith or power area, people that stand directly in front of the dumbbell racks and do their sets, mother f**ker your here to workout move your ass 5 steps back at least behind the benches...
Curling in the smith area. That's a special kinda retard.

So I joined the Planet Fitness just to use their cardio machines. I walked in and both the people at the desk didn't acknowledge me at all.
Me: Hi, I just wanted to check out your gym.
Girl: Hi, how did you hear about us?
Me: Well, you know, the Internet and all.
Guy: *Shakes my hand* I'll show you around.
Girl: You look strong. You know we don't cater to powerlifting or bodybuilding, right?
Me: Uh, yah, I know. I just wanted to use your cardio machines.
Guy: *shows me around* As you can see, we're a "judgement free" zone and we don't cater to powerlifting or bodybuilding...
Me: I see that. I already have a main gym, I just want to use your cardio machines when I can't make it to my gym.![]()
Was he taking a break from his DJ and pizza-serving duties while judging you in the no judgement zone?
(I didn't even hear any weights being dropped)
