Hairygrandpas log, fat- and older people welcome!- diet, training, cycles, healing

Yes, Tupac is MY no. 1 by a landslide. Album sales, sheer volume of hits and work, personna, lyrical content, flow, voice, rawness and passion, the way he connected with and spoke to the culture (social influence), his poetry, his vision, his legacy and the timelessness of his classic work. Nobody else can bring as much overall to the rap game as he did. Not to mention the fact that he accomplished all of this by his 25th birthday.

I've been listening to rap since the 80's so I'm well-versed in what's out there. Honarable mentions for me would go to KRS-One, Jay-Z and a few others as well. Rap groups and DJ's and the founding fathers are another story entirely.

By all means though, if HGP doesn't mind, let's hear your top 5....

ok, ill give the credit that you mentioned founding fathers- and without this as a starter group

Grandmaster Flash
Kurtis Blow
LL Cool J
Run Dmc
Public Enemy

sorry with out them, Rap isnt Rap and Tupac was west coast rap- different game- you didnt even mention Biggie who - was east coast at that time

The ones you mentioned are all great acts. Unfortunately I listed my favourite individual rappers. Public Enemy and Run DMC are groups which for me, is another category altogether. Even Flash had most of his success with the Furious Five. Would you put Chuck D or Rev Run in your top 5? On an individual level, I prefer Grandmaster Caz to Grandmaster Flash as a pure rapper.

The Sugar Hill Gang is beyond dope indeed, as were the Beastie Boys, A Tribe called Quest and many other groups. This is just a different category for me.

There's no doubt that most of what was spawned by Cool Herc and Brooklyn was pretty cool but rap is rap no matter where it comes from. To say that Pac can't be included because he was West Coast is kinda silly. His early stuff was actually NY-based and influenced as this is where he was originally from.

I didn't mention Biggie? He's number 3 on my list. Lol.

would be the funniest thing

I don't see NWA anywhere in this list. Don't quote me boy, cuz I ain't sayin' ****.

I expect HGP to close out this log with at least one single (with a video). A full album would be great but I wouldn't want him to take too much time away from his cut.

LOVE the addition of tempo!

Try working in the traditional hypertrophy tempo range of 4:0:1:0…easily one of the best tempos to utilize

Kicking butt in here hairy.

Did not feel as strong yesterday, that's why I tried TUT.
4:0:1 ? This will kill me, thinking of pull ups, I probably can only squeeze out 3-5 reps like this.
Is this tempo beneficial in a cut?

If your sets are ranging between 40-60 sec; with each rep around 6-8 seconds this will help increase lactic acid levels which helps induce fat loss

So the only thing tempo does is increase fiber recruitment/stimulation. Nothing magical. That means it can be implemented with success year round as when your in a deficit trying to maintain your lean tissue, you'll be stimulating it and ensuring your body doesn't utilize it as fuel AND in the offseason during a surplus, its more stimulation to allow growth.

Could be just fat . I never seen anyone in my history develope gyno while using an ai . I think its the remainder of chub as you said . Just my thoughts.

Saggy skin and fat is my guess, well, to combat saggy skin there is either the knife -or get HUGE.
Will opt for the letter. Hehehehe!
After the cut comes a short bulk-blast, lets chest muscles straighten out the wrinkles, LOL

Wide push ups and lots of dumbbell work for chest. You could tone that in 2 weeks time eod...

Short update:

Diet: -Currently I'm back to Keto diet with 1 day x week carb loading and I really dig it. No more cravings for carbs.
Libido: -is 50/50, some day it's up -another day it takes awhile to go up, you know? Hehehe.
Cardio: -is getting easier, stamina is going up.
Cycle sides: -no sides to report, maybe some irritability during the day
Fugged-up Knees: -still not as new but improving

This Vasoburn-stuff is heating my love handles for hours after putting it on, hopefully it burns some fat.
Other people tell of a gain in strength when on Var, did not notice this. Stuff is legit, I just do not respond like the rest, I guess.

"Hairless HG" you sir are killing it!

I don't see gyno, it's just stubborn chest fat. I had the same issue the first time around when i cut. That chest fat is a son of a b!tch. Get your bf% down and keep building up your chest and it will go away.

Saturday Arms Torture -----> FAIL

Today was the worst workout this month.
I just struggled with the weights and couldn't get a decent pump. Everything felt heavy.
My guess is, I run out of glycogen since I kept my diet without any carbs for the last days. My CNS had red lights blinking all over it.
In the morning I exploded on my adolescent son with too harsh words for not cleaning the pool, that was a warning sign for me to take off a day or two.
I did chin ups, curls, triceps and cardio but I'm not in the mood to write it down.

Easter holiday is coming with 3 days closed gym, how will I survive this?
3 days off = all gains lost (is telling me my evil twin, inside my head).

Will reload on carbs this weekend and try to recover. No alcohol or forbidden sweets.
I have to catch fish at the farm for protein supply, hopefully this calms me down and fills the battery.

Nice weekend to all of you!
