Ostar1ne/Dermacrine 8wk log (1st cycle)

Any weight gain or loss yet? What are you hitting for daily cals and are you below, at, or above maintenance most days?

I'm probably up around 1-2 lbs however I fluctuate around 178-182 constantly. I haven't tracked macros in a while however I'm strict for the most part. I always meal prep and am pretty consistent. I always intend to start counting macros again as I believe in flexible dieting. My goal here is a slow bulk which isn't optimal for ostarine but I don't really plan to cut right now. I'll be posting a few pictures soon.

Had a torturous (beneficial) 2 hour thai massage yesterday. Now my back/shoulder feel better than they have since I was injured. It almost feels like she was able to bring it to the surface where as it feels more like a bruise to the touch over a deep sprain. I'm definitely not 100% but it feels better today than yesterday. I have to credit the massage over ostarine and cissus although I still have hope for the latter. Today will be Legs/Shoulders.

Day 19: Rest day with Thai Massage.

Happy ending Thai massage?

Happy ending Thai massage?

Haha, not quite, although my girlfriend is from Thailand... different thread. This is a deep Thai Massage and if she gets anywhere near my inner thigh it moves to the other side out of fear. It is literally 2 hours of pain. I thought about it while being massaged and realized if it was a UFC fight I would have tapped out. It's a necessary evil and payback for not stretching/foam rolling properly for the past 3 years of growing.

My bad! Nothing personal meant by it, just being dirty minded. Now that you say deep massage, yeah I know what that is ... it would make even Chuck Norris cry.

None taken. Having been spoiled by the internet for most of my life the first time I went to get a massage I expected something extremely different. Same reason I don't deliver pizza or work as college professor. Expectations vs Reality :sigh1:

The past few days have not been as productive as I would like. I honestly can't say I feel like I'm on a cycle. Being my first I don't know what to compare it to but I don't really feel "stronger" and I'm definitely not healing, almost the opposite. Physically I look good but that's becoming irrelevant during injuries.

Day 20: Legs/Shoulders: Good workout, nothing crazy.
Day 21: Chest/Triceps: Good workout, nothing crazy.
Day 22: Back/Biceps: Noticed my right shoulder (same side as injury) popping every time I rotated my shoulder during warmups. This is very concerning as it's not normal. Continued with a light back and heavy biceps.

I will be going to the chiropractor today as I feel numbness when raising my arm as well my shoulder feels tired even when I'm rested and typing. Not sure if this is a continuation of my other injury of if its possible something like eliminate is contributing. Either way I need to get it looked it, really hoping this doesn't take me out of the gym. :whiner:

Keep pushing as long as you are able to with your injury. Keep in mind that even harder compounds like Halo and Epistane don't really get get good until the 3rd/4th week as well. Ostarine for me has always been clean steady gains without that crazy amped up feeling I get from PH/DS. Did you consider my thought of bumping up to 20mg a week early? I definitely would.

As far as your shoulder issue, I've had to deal with that off and on for many years now. I just have shoulders/posture/alignment issues that I need to keep on top of. What I do notice is that when I'm pushing it hard with the weights and my form is off, my shoulders will come out of alignment and my right one specifically will pop out. If there is no pain and you stay on top of your stretching/mobility and watch your form, it should't affect you too much.

Honestly it sounds to me like you might be over-compensating because of your back injury and that has caused you to unknowingly adjust your form to keep the back issue in check. A subconsious change in posture or form could definitely cause other issues with shoulders, neck, etc. On top of that, the pain/numbness sounds like a pinched nerve in the back or shoulder area. Have you tried icing the area after lifting weights? A trip to the doctor sounds like a great idea.

As far as the Eliminate goes, I don't think it is your issue but I suppose it could be a slight contributing factor. For some people, arimistane can cause dry joints and joint pain, but that doesn't usually happen at 50mg ED and 1 week in. Hopefully the doc is able to get things back on track for you!

Good luck and keep us posted.

In on this. I'm running Osta Rx (26mg) at the moment too. I'm just starting off my 3rd week. Interesting to see what you get from it.

Interesting you haven't mentioned fatigue or lethargy. I guess the seems dermacrine must be a good base compound for this. I ended up adding 4-andro before my 3rd week started because I didn't even feel like lifting anymore.

IMO, up the dose to 20 or 25mg and keep on pushing. I'm starting to notice some leaning and improved pumps in my third week.

Toren Always appreciate the insight. I haven't upped yet but I may tomorrow, still at 15. I've never had the popping issue and it's quote possible it's from subliminally changing my form. It's not painful however my shoulder feels weak/exhausted in a rested state. I always ice after lifting, at least I have for the past couple of months since it got hurt.
linuxjon thanks for taking part, I looked at your log and will keeping up with it as well. I'm in my 4th week now and I can't really say I feel anything amazing but aesthetically I notice minor changes. Will keep on pushing.

Update:

Day 23: Rest Day, went to chiropractor since my shoulder started popping when I rotated my arm at the elbow up. (rotator warm up exercise)

Through my insurance I only had 2 options for chiropractors, neither with reviews online which made me skeptical. I get to the chiropractor and am informed I must have a referral even though they told me otherwise while making the appointment. Instead of dealing with that I just paid out of pocket.

I really feel like it was a waste that only made it worse. First thing he does is move my arm around some and barely feel around my back/shoulder. Then he makes me sit in massage chair with a heating pad on my shoulder for 15 minutes. After that he pops my back a little (not spine) and cracks my neck (which was not enjoyable). He then proceeds to use a makeshift massager (from an old power drill/sander) and holds that on my back/shoulder momentarily. That was pretty much it. I asked him about lifting and he said no reason to not lift, just go higher reps on back. TBH he seemed so disconnected that I'm not confident in his advice. I would never go back to this guy and IF I ever choose a chiropractor I will go with one with reviews and a reputation. That night my shoulder popped not just rotating it but every time I raised my arm. Today it just feels tired, as if I had a killer shoulder workout minutes earlier.

As far as recovery an ostarine I'm unsure. I went bowling Saturday night (use to bowl multiple times a week and I also crank the ball pretty hard). My forearm is still sore today. I honestly just feel weak in my shoulder/wrist and my forearm even on my non-dominant hand.
linuxjon mentioned lethargy and I may be experiencing that. Yesterday I just felt depressed and had no idea why. I contribute it to my shoulder but it may be shutting down? I also have had a headache the past couple of days, nothing crazy but annoying, not so much right now.

The problem is since this is my first cycle I don't know if my issues are because of ostarine/eliminate or even the cissus I started taking. All I know for sure is I don't feel 100% and it's discouraging to feel as if I'm declining half way in. My mood does seem to be down some days.

Day 24: Today will be legs and I will do my best to push through the annoyances and set backs.

After reading back to a comment earlier in this thread I realize some of my issues may stem from caffeine withdrawal. I took pre workout stimulated 4-6 days a week for a LONG time. I have really never taken a break, typically only switch PWO. I've been taking non-stimulated pre for the past couple of weeks, taking stimulated only on saturday.

That sucks about the chiro. My shoulder issues definitely have to do with alignment and musculoskeletal imbalances. When things get out of wack, my back hurts, I get headaches from neck tension and my shoulders actually pop out at times, like how you've mentioned. I can actually feel the pop when I bench press sometimes. I know when to take a step back and do a form check. I can't say for certain in your case but if the back issue extends back 2 months, this may just be the natural progression of things.

Stay positive though. It will go along way towards making gains during your run. Regardless of what compound you are taking, this is all a part of the journey and learning experience. I learn something new every time I run a new compound. As far as feeling a bit off, I usually have a period in every cycle where I don't feel up to par for a few days or even a week or two. To put things into perspective, I remind myself that these things happen off cycle as well. I just keep focused on my goal and I always make it through.

Good call on the stims. That may be a factor in things as well.

Kind of b-rated food porn but I did just eat In' an' Out' Burger for the first time in ages after a pretty grueling leg day. I guess they call that comfort food. :)

I had a headache non-stop for 4 days, starting the end of my second week. It stopped the day I added the 4-andro. Could be coincidence, could be related. Not sure. I've also had some bummer days along the way too. Overall though, I'd say things feel better for me this week than last. Hang in there brah.

Definitely hanging in there, headaches aren't really common for me and I've only had a few since I started. Possible it's due to caffeine withdrawal in addition to ostarine. Nothing crucial just annoying. Depending I plan to do a 1-4/epi run after PCT and recovery.

Day 25: Had a really good Leg day, didn't work shoudlers as I've decided to go back to a PPL routine. Today will be chest/tri/shoulders and I'm going to push as much as I can. Upon the advice of Toren and linuxjon I decided to go to 20mg today over the 15mg ostarine. Feel the same as far as that goes. I dose at ~10:00am everyday. I really wish I had a better gauge of what to expect but I'm in the middle of the 4th week and I don't feel much different. Side effects wise I haven't had many either, possibly less hydrated as normal although I drink A LOT of water always. Minor headaches, some joint aches (not sure exactly the cause) and possibly some lethargy. Some days I've just felt depressed without reason. Still a while to go so I still have hopes.

For some reason the animation of those burgers making out is really creepy.

It looks like you may have added a bit of size to your shoulders/arms/chest, when comparing the 1st cycle pic to the last two. You've got a solid lean base to add size to though.

It is definitely creepy, lol. Weight wise I'm around the same +2/3lb so it's definitely possible that I've added a tad bit. Gaining is always my goal although I definitely want to lose a little body fat without sacrificing overall size. As you can see in my first picture I was very skinny growing up and through high school, probably the reason I want to continue to add size. Have some stubborn lower belly fat that loves me too much to leave.

Gaining without losing, it's the holy grail we all strive for! I was skinny as hell in highschool too. I never dreamed I'd get to 200, let alone 225. Same goes for me with a small amount of lower abdominal BF. Even sub 10% BF I have a small little bit there.

It definitely is. I got up to 193 just by eating crazy and it wasn't good. I've been around 180 for quite some time and would love to get to 200 with 10% or < bf. Don't imagine ostar1ne will be what does it but it's a good starting point.

Glad to see you upped it to 20mg. Honestly I'm not having any sides at 26 after 3.5 weeks now. I know it's not really advised, but might even up mine to 32.5mg at some point if things keep feeling this good.

Being my first cycle and through advice I started at 15mg, really just getting my feet wet here. Glad everything is going well for you, like what I'm seeing in your log.

Did Chest/Tricep/Shoulder on Wednesday (Day 25) and felt pretty good. No crazy pr's but feeling a little stronger. Thought my shoulder would act up but it felt fine.

Day 26: Rest Day. Not sure if it's ostar1ne or not but my appetite was pretty large yesterday. Although I eat a decent amount normally I just couldn't get full yesterday, was a good thing. Also I feel like I was a little more vascular than normal without a pump or anything.

Day 27: Today will be the "dreaded" pull day. I only say dreaded because I hate the fact that on my first cycle I can't go 100%. My injury feels like its getting better so I will definitely do what I can today. I really think I should be feeling more nearing the end of the 4th week but with minimal sides I can't be too upset. I guess I had an idea of how I would feel prior to starting and I don't feel that way. Still pushing through and staying positive.

Day 28 (03/05): Back day on (day 27) is slowly getting better. Was able to deadlift a respectable weight for th first time in a while. Definitely not 100% but pushing through.

Day 29 (03/06): Push Day. Moving up slowly in weight lifted but definitely pushing.

Day 30 (03/07): Rest day, nothing to report.

Day 31 (03/08): Pull day again, slowly going up in weight without overdoing it. Feeling stronger overall in most lifts.

Day 32 (03/09): Leg Day. This was brutal as I worked out with a very experienced lifter who really pushed me. Had a few great sets of squats and then did a ridiculous leg press pyramid. Also did some isolation work along with calfs. Normally I have good recovery but my calfs are very sore today (03/11).

Day 33 (03/10): Push day. Was in the gym way too long, around 2.5 hours but it's pretty crazy how I feel ready to lift even after a long, tough workout.

Day 34 (03/11): Today will be a rest day.

All and all so far I can't tell what I'm feeling. I feel stronger to a degree and as if my physical appearance is for the better but nothing dramatic as what I expected. Definitely need to go all out every session regardless of cycle. Striving for the motivation I get with a lifting partner for when I'm lifting alone.

Progress picture attached. (03/10/16)

Hey, checking in again. :)

How are things going? You should have a little over 2 weeks left now.

I definitely fell behind on my log however I will be updating it again and continuing through PCT.

Day 35 (03/12) - Day 44 (03/21) Update

This past week has been really good. No known sides and my strength has definitely increased. Although I don't really feel like "The Hulk" I definitely am stronger as everything just seems a little lighter, especially on leg day. Recovery is still top-notch and my back is probably 85% healed. I don't contribute any healing to ostarine however I can't say that it hasn't helped. This past week and I just felt bigger. Up about 3lbs on the scale which is good because I stayed at ~180 forever. I've also had people tell me I'm looking bigger and filling out more. I was also asked if I was on steroids which is quite a compliment to me.

All and all I feel the strength gains. I haven't had the best nutrition and it has probably hindered me slightly. I never eat terrible but I'm a snackaholic and ALWAYS hungry. That's a normal thing and not just ostarine. I feel a little more vascular but nothing crazy. That's a little over normal plus my body fat is a little higher than I would like. (can't stop eating) :).

Still have 2 weeks left and am already thinking about what's next. I could do this same run again unless I feel frisky enough to go to the next level. Time and PCT will tell. Going to really go after it these next 2 weeks.

Awesome update! I'm glad things are going well for you so far. It took a bit to get rolling but seeing some positive changes is great. Sometimes we don't notice the subtle changes because we see ourselves everyday, but when others who don't see us as often take notice, it's pretty cool.

Snackaholic over here too! I need to reign myself in sometimes and stick to my meals. When I'm strict, the body comp changes are awesome! When I'm not so strict, I just tell my self I'm bulking. Lol.

The thing I like about Ostarine is that the gains, while modest for some, are pretty easy to keep. The other thing I like about SARMs is that I don't get that super-agression like I do when I'm using steroids. It just feels cleaner to me all around to be on a SARM. Like you said, there's no "hulk" feeling but the gains are steady. As far as a first cycle though, it's a nice first step for you and the fact that you aren't seeing any negative sides come up is a solid sign as well. Hopefully the last two weeks get even better.

Appreciate all the support/knowledge you've shared throughout this log. I'm sure this won't be my last and with your help I feel it was a good first step.

Day 45 (03/22) - Day 51 (03/28) Update

Last week was one of the best. I really pushed a lot more weight in all lifts however my recovery couldn't keep up with the overload. That's not a bad thing but it does remind me of my age. :). I will be taking a rest day today and tomorrow. (Monday and Tuesday). Today because I have lifted 3 days in a row and am pretty sore all over. Tomorrow is just because I have a prior obligation but I also think I could use the extra day off to really finish out the final week strong.

I don't want this cycle to end and I'm already thinking about the next. I will have plenty of ostar1ne left if I decide to do it again but I may go up a notch, time will tell.

I'm reminded of my age every time I warm-up to lift. Lol. Awesome job so far, I'm glad things are going well for you. The first one is always a bit nerve-racking for sure.

Hit it hard for the last week. I am looking forward to your final review.

Regarding shoulder pain, back pain.

"Graston" or Tissue Remodeling works well. Google and YouTube it.

You may or may not benefit but it's worth checking out out. Tight fascia can restrict movement and build scar tissue. The Chiropractor or Physio Therapist glides steel tools across the muscle. If scar tissue is present you'll see bright red reaction on skin. Some areas are painful, some are not. Neck and shoulders are pretty easy to take and the results, free'ing up the muscle constriction is instant. I have had it done to nearly every inch of my body minus my face. Online pics can be intimidating for extreme cases but redder and petechia (bumpy skin look) is less painful than deeper scarring.

Also, Shockwave Therapy. Same deal as Graston but uses a wand and electric pulse. Quick and painless but effectiveness is unknown to me.

Not all chiros are the same. But I found a Graston guy and he made a world of difference with my stiff back and neck.

Lastly, if you suspect a posture issue it could be your neck...which effects everything. Google "Atlas Orthogonal". Painless 10 second neck adjustment that could change everything.

I am not a chiro, I am a long time pain sufferer that has experienced lasting relief with some of these treatment.

Your mileage may vary.

Day 52 (3/29)- Day 57 (04/03)

This was the last week on cycle and it was a good one. I'm feeling a little tired overall but I had been going 4-5 days on without a rest day. I took (sunday) my last day as a rest day and will doing legs on DAY 1 of PCT.

During PCT I will be using SUPER PCT, nolvadex and EP1C TD and Capsule for 4 weeks.

I will write a review later but wanted to update for now.

04/04/16 - 04/17/16

PCT:

Weeks 1 - 2: Been taking Nolva/SUPER PCT/ep1c daily. Haven't noticed any sides. Don't feel as strong overall as I did on cycle but still feel good.

One thing with ep1c td is it's very runny and doesn't spread as good as something like dermacrine. Also I went on a mini-vacation and it leaked a lot, even being upright. Possibly from the bumps, etc.

My diet isn't as strict as it was on cycle but I'm still lifting 4-5/week. Will finish up the last 2 weeks of PCT and look forward to my next adventure. Unsure on what that will be.

No sides and feeling good = 1/2 of a successful PCT.

I'm runnning OL DermaStrength right now and I find it to be a bit runny as well. It's nothing I can't deal with but more of a gel-like consistency would be great. Nothing beats the Dermacrine bottle.

Any thoughts on your next run? LGD or 1-andro/4-andro/Epiandro maybe? I can't wait to run OL LGD again in a few months. That stuff was awesome for me.

Not sure yet. 1/4/epi is very tempting. I've also considered just going with test but I'm not knowledgeable enough on that yet. It's also quite the jump from ostar1ine but it's in the back of my mind.

Need to do more research into LGD as well.

I think I would like steady gains over a longer period that I could maintain. A lot of options out there. According to most I should wait an additional 8 weeks after PCT (4 weeks) before doing anything non-natural, yes?

Time on + PCT = time off, is the usual suggestion. In your case, time on cycle (8 weeks) plus PCT (4 weeks) would mean you take 12 weeks off after you complete your PCT. That rule is not hard and fast though and could be slightly shortened or even lengthened depending on how hard the cycle was, how the recovery went, and what you might be told from possible blooodwork you might get.

My last few cycles were 12+ weeks and while it is sometimes easier to maintain the weight after longer cycles, there are drawbacks to it as well. Longer cycles mean possibly a harder recovery, possibility of longer PCTs, and longer off time in between cycles. There is definitely a balance to be found for everyone. For myself, going forward, my cycles will get a bit shorter (6-10 weeks) and this will allow me to have more off time during the year. I'll also start to do milder cycles as I go forward. My health is more important to me than these gains are.

At the end of the day, if I can gain 6-10 clean pounds on a mild 8 week cycle, for me, it's better than gaining 15+ pounds on a 12 week cycle but stacking harder methylated compounds to get those results. My weight is close to the max I want it so going forward, I can focus more on quality versus quantity.

Shoot, I don't think it's possible for me to have a short post.

Well, this one is short. Lol.

Today was my first day post PCT. No known sides from cycle/PCT.

Nothing really to report. I feel like I may have lost a little bit of my overall gains but my diet has been a little random lately.

All and all I enjoyed it and am looking forward to my next journey. I followed everything pretty much by the book and will continue taking ep1c until it's complete.

I noticed that towards the end of my PCT I felt like I was always in a bad mood. There are tons of factors that could lead to this but I also noticed that on day 2 of POST PCT I was in the best mood I've been in a while. What are the chances that these are connected and not just a coincidence?

Most likely the SERM starting to clear your system, SERMs have effects on the CNS aswell. Can induce lethargy, mood swings basically most high estro sides considering SERMs are synthetic oestrogens.
