The epic food porn thread

I posted these a while back, a review is now up. My grocery store will have Milanos on sale starting Sunday, will be on the hunt!

Item: Pepperidge Farm Limited Edition Banana Chocolate Milano Cookies
Purchased Price: $3.59
Size: 7 oz. (about 16 cookies)
Purchased at: Stop & Shop
Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Banana flavored chocolate. Milano’s consistency. Airy wafer. Great for dipping. No artificial flavors or preservatives. A short reprieve from the winter blues.
Cons: No instant transportation properties in each bite. A rapidly growing cookie smoking habit. Fear of missing out on more banana flavored chocolate treats. Pain in the neck packaging. Limited edition.

Picked up the sea salt Carmel ones today, will try tonight

I loved it! I am buying it again off ICS

Never even knew that existed! I took a scoop out of cake my day the other night... Very promising. Gonna eat it this weekend and review it here

I can't find the new bnj flavors yet. Still have to try target and one more Walmart tomorrow Lil might try to get to the for those new mcaroons....anyone hear reviews on those?

I found the cake at target. Walmart didn't have it yet.

I got it at Walmart. It was good, but not one of my personal favorites. If there was more frosting (didn't really notice it), I'd probably buy it again.

Looks identical to the scoop I took out of mine. Decent amount of cake pieces, solid swirl but nothing much for frosting.
Tastes like a raspberry vanilla wedding cake

Agree here
Base was a huge step up Of the original vanilla . The swirl is overpowering and the frosting could of been thicker

Item: Sir Bananas Chocolate Bananamilk
Purchased Price: $3.49
Size: 64 oz. carton
Purchased at: Meijer
Rating: 9 out of 10
Pros: Liquefied frosted chocolate chip banana bread IV drips. Banana Nesquik’s spiritual successor. My future career as a cereal bartender. A banana product without any Minions on it.
Cons: The “Cookie Butter Paradox.” Wishing for a near-death (by chocolate) experience. My impossible dream of “M&M’s milk.” Freudian slipping on a banana peel.

Stuff is like crack.

Stuff is like crack.

I have used Penottii, TJs, Biscoff, Kroger's etc. I love cookie butter, especially if it is crunchy!!!

The best IMO is Kroger's chocolate (has crunchy bits). I bought the Macaroon flavour in Dec. in MI.
Coincidentally, I just got a new role at work that will keep me in Canada for a while but will mean more travel to Sarnia, meaning more opportunities to hit up MI.

I'm just a Speculoos fiend, above all the other cookie butters.
I grabbed all TJ's offerings while I was there last too, I need to stop though lol it's dangerous stocking up on cookie butters

I can't keep that in the house because I fully admit to not having will power to stop myself from eating anything I keep in stock.

Ice cream I can do, its in my chest freezer in my basement, but cookie butter is in my cupboards and gets used fast

Pumpkin tjs CB with pumpkin pop tarts ftw!

Dunkin Donuts' Fudge Croissant Donut:

Invalid Link Removed

The donut features a glazed croissant donut filled with fudge and topped with chocolate and a white icing drizzle. Upon looking at the outside it looks like a super sized donut. Having a lot of the seasonal donuts of DD in the past I have never been blown away. Going into this experience my expectations were a mediocre donut, decent filling, and a weak glaze. Hopefully DD will turn things around.

Upon first bite it is pretty typical Dunkin Donuts and what you would expect. You get a hint of a buttery donut, and a slight doughy aftertaste. The texture of the donut is thicker in nature, but nothing out of the ordinary from a local mom and pop shop. The taste of the fudge filling is a far stretch. More like an enhanced cocoa filling. Fudge is thick and rich in taste, this was not very rich or thick as you would expect from a filling. There is a slight aftertaste of a hershey chocolate syrup that is faint in flavor. Fudge is far from very sweet in flavor, this is an over sweetened cocoa filling.

The icing on the top of the donut is decent at best. The icing and chocolate glaze are both sweet in nature. When you think chocolate you think dense and full of flavor. You want a rich and dark/milk chocolate to melt in your mouth like a hershey bar or MnM. Again Dunkin Donuts put a little extra sugar on the filling and on the glaze. While this is a super sweet icing and chocolate glaze it takes away from what you would expect.

For 2.49$ for a donut stick to your local mom and pop shops. I give DD a lot of chances, but each time it does not ever stick out and will never be better than a local chain donut shop.

Pros:
- If you enjoy very sweet filling and icing this is right up your alley
- Donut texture is thick
- Filling is creamy and thick throughout the donut.

Cons:
- Not enough dough texture in the donut
- Overly sweet in regards to the filling and glaze
- Fudge filling needs more density in flavor.

Grade: 6.5/10

Espresso Oreo = Epic.... Ultimate Oreo = their best offering.
Not even an coffee drink and I thought Espresso Oreo was Epic, but I thought it was better than Ultimate Oreo. If are saying UO is the best CnC type offering than ya ok I agree with that.
However, Handels Oreo Dough is da bomb, but has cookie dough so a tad unfair.

AH Choc Milk & Cookies is a close 2nd IMO.

Comparing an Oreo based products to an Oreo/Cookie Dough based product includes another factor.
Dont get me wrong they are both GREAT, but the added cookie dough makes handles a bit unique

For Straight Cookies and Cream
1. Ultimate Oreo
2. Graeters CnC
3. B&J Milk and Cookies
4. AH Choc Milk and Cookies (for some reason the cookies in this tasted a bit off??) maybe it was me.

Ingredients:
1.5 cups Kodiak Cakes Powercakes mix.
1.5 scoops Select Protein
1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk
1/2 cup grated carrots
2 large eggs
4 tbsp eggwhites
2tsp stevia
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
Optional Topping:
250g FF cream cheese
3/4 cup 0% greek yogurt
1 tbsp stevia
walnuts & cinnamon garnish

Directions:
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together dry ingredients
Beat your eggs, combine with other liquids, mix and stir into main bowl.
On a non-stick pan, preferably a small one, I like to use butter on my surface here, you can, or any non-stick. Turn stovetop on medium
Your batter should be runnier than pancake batter, scoop about 1/4 cup into your pan each time and it should flatten itself and spread on its own
Let cook until bottom firms, flip for another minute, transfer to plate
If desired add a spread between layers, or top at the end
Devour.

Filled Cupcake Oreo Review:

Invalid Link Removed

Soon after the release of Cinnamon Bun Oreo's, Nabisco decided to drop filled Cupcake Oreo's.
Filled Cupcake Oreo's include the original chocolate wafer filled with chocolate frosting and a small hint or vanilla cream in the center.
At first this looks like brownie batter oreo's with a small filled cupcake twist. Hopefully Oreo does not use marketing to their advantage. A small dab of cupcake filling hopefully packs a punch and makes these a worthy limited edition pickup.

Upon first bite you get what you would expect with the basic chocolate wafer and chocolate cream. Basically the chocolate cream oreo but the center provides a sweet and airy cream compliment. Do I think the cupcake filling is really noteworthy? Not really, but it provides a small twist in the grand scheme of things.
Do I think these taste much different then a basic chocolate oreo? Not really. The eye candy of the packaging may do you in on this limited edition.
What I did note is the brownie batter cream is much richer than the original chocolate cream. I also split an oreo and tried just the filled cupcake filling to see how dense it was. The filling reminds me of a thin marshmallow fluff with a faint flavor. A fun idea, but in my opinion buy and split with friends and family.

Pro's:
- Small Twist on a basic chocolate cream oreo
- Light, airy, and creamy filled cupcake center.\
- 75 calories per oreo.

Con's:
- Nothing out of the ordinary
- Filling could pack more flavor
- Did not surpass the recent "Cinnamon Bun" flavor

^^^ brownie batter are better?

^^^i haven't eaten real food from Tim Horton's since high school (toasted bagel w herb& garlic cream cheese & tomato slices all the time) lol
Their donuts suck so won't buy those either but I did try the Oreo creme one ha

I like Timmies Maple Dip Donuts, it brings me back to my childhood every time.

I bet myself or Jana would try that KlutzyLifter

But I don't think Tim's is a great place for hot food like that, I know it was just frozen beef that got heated 2 minutes, lol.

Their deli sandwiches are alright though
