Working out fasted?

How long after a meal does it take your body to become fasted? I work out at 5ish in the afternoon.

Depends on the meal. Way are you asking? What is the goal here?

It's for interval training with Yohimbine. Just looking for midsection fat loss.

I see. A few hours should be enough. I would shoot for around 3-4 hours post meal

with yohimbine you just want a minimal amount of insulin to be floating around i.e. post-absorptive stage

I'm from Johnson City, TN area. In the military so I'm not currently in TN even though I would love to be back. Go Vols! Hopefully we will have a better football year next year. We looked killer in our bowl game. Also, I would say it takes about 3-6 hours depending on how big of a meal you ate. I would say 3 hours would be good if you are cutting. I always workout fasted when cutting as well.

Thanks buddy.... GBO

Is there any reason why you want to workout fasted? It will not make a difference in terms of weight loss.

We could debate this to the end of the world lol.

There are numerous benefits to IF training :)

Many benefits. But really it would likely come down to micro content and the calories consumed in the last meal. Obviously if you consume a 2000cal burrito, your fasted time is going to differ than if your meal was a cup of oatmeal and a banana.

This was my main question ^^^. Let's say I have 200 cals of greek yogurt, on a medium size sweet potato. Would 4 hours be enough?

yes 4 hours should be enough for that, even giving enough time for digestion variation I would think. I can't think why it take longer for ~500cals

Yes, while I don't know your metabolism :), I cannot imagine 4 hours not being enough time for the amount of calories/macros.
