Handel's Spouse Like a House

Overall this flavor is a win from start to finish. If you enjoy Peanut Butter filled pretzels in general this pint is a must. If you ever had Chubby Hubby before and want something similar in design this would be my suggestion from Handel's. it is not often you see PB filled pretzels as a mix-in, let alone coated in chocolate. That alone raises the bar and makes for a great mix-in and high quality base. Take the mix-ins offered and combine this with a great vanilla base and you have a flavor you must scoop from Handel's.

Grade: A

Mother of God...white strawberry shortcake M&Ms!!!

They sound amazing.

Something new from Burger King. Haven't been there in a really long time, but from what I remember, their pies are really, really good.

Burger-King-Pie-Made-with-Snickers.jpg

If you are going to a fast food joint for their desserts. Most chances are you have never had really good desserts from mom and pop places before. Then again they are frozen and imported pies/desserts

Doesn't mean the Burger King Snickers pie can't also be good. Fast food and mom/pop desserts are not mutually exclusive.

the term "Good" is subjective.
I personally would rather spend a few extra bucks to get a better quality dessert than going to a fast food place to get a dessert.
same could be said with a hamburger. would you pay 1$ from mcdonalds or rather go to a diner and get a better quality burger?

It depends on how much you eat out ... If you eat out infrequently as I do then quality should be 1st priority and cost is less of an issue.

However, every once in a while fast food hits the spot amirite?

I honestly have not had fast food in god knows how long... i use to work at a five guys and had it once in 5 years of working there and it was free.
I honestly do not have any care for fast food. Went to chipolte once and was dry and mediocre as hell for 9$
Went to McDonalds once and never went back (Chicken McNugget was dark red and raw in the center).
Went to Burger King and their burgers tasted like pure garbage, it was so soggy and greasy
KFC i had twice, the mac and cheese they burned, and the chicken was incredibly undercooked.

Just not my thing.

KFC is gross. I do like BK whoppers, but there is a second tier of ff chains like Chipotle. Chipotle is overpriced and not worth it IMO. Mighty Taco in Buffalo is pretty good. There are some great places in Canada for pitas & schwarmas too.

Ruby Tuesdays, Chilis, and all the other chains like this are nothing more than fast food restaurants too. Their presentation is just different. These Restaurants are nastier than your McDonald's, Burger kings, and Chik-fil-a's. Meats sit outside the coolers all day, mold and fungus, rats in the ceilings, and roaches running over everything. I use to do remodels in these at night time and they are some of the nastiest places I've ever seen. Mom and pop places can be pretty good. I've learned to be pretty selective when I'm out traveling on where I will eat.

Agree would rather have a home cooked meal, or a mom and pop Diner/ type spot. Only chain foods places I like Are cheesecake factory, chili's is pretty good and then Hooters :)

Agreed. Food preference/taste is very subjective. When I was in France, I was told I had a "gutter palate." I hated the food there. Smashed so much food at BW3's in the Atlanta airport when I got back to the States! Some people love fast food, some don't. Just have to spend your money on what YOU like, not what someone else thinks is "better."

Bk for whoppers, onion rings fries croissanwich, chipotle is good, u have to remember its expensive because its all natural and alot is organic and made fresh all day long so it is worth it, I used to work there and can vouch for the freshness..... KFC potato wedges are pretty damn good

Good Lord, I stopped in a Sheetz (gas station chain for those that don't have them in their area) last night and they have all of their EASTER candy out! Cadbury eggs, Reeses eggs, some Junior Mint easter candy. Utter insanity

Just tried the strawberry (not shortcake) m&m's... They're a huge disappointment. VERY light on the strawberry flavor to the point where it's almost unnoticeable. Nowhere near the cherry from last year. Not worth the buy.

Try em out tomorrow. A lot of people will like a light strawberry taste. MnM's thrive off the chocolate. A small hint will be all it takes for a lot of people to love them.

i can't wait to find the shortcake ones. All of their white chocolate offerings are outstanding.

Totally agree on the white. I went looking for them last bought but my target didn't have v day stuff out yet. Gonna keep checking tho.

These wouldn't be bad if there was a decent hint, but it's nearly undetectable. Without knowing what they are supposed to be you might never even know.

Strawberry Milk Chocolate MnM's:
8/10 Ranking

70/30 Milk Chocolate to Strawberry flavoring. The strawberry is overpowered by the dense milk chocolate flavor and taste. You basically get a slight strawberry aftertaste. nothing artificial, but a nice bold flavor of strawberry. Needs to be more profound to match the label name. Overall good if you enjoy strawberry and chocolate.

Very surprised you rated them that high. I would've said like 4-5 at best. What others would you rate higher?

Candy corn ones were my favorite, their white chocoalte is superb. Personally the strawberry was great. not too strong not too light. a MnM is supposed to be heavy in the milk chocolate taste which it was. The aftertaste of strawberry is what you need to match the name.

surprised you hop for poptarts before ever eating things like Churro's or other desserts out on the market lol

Perhaps he likes pop tarts more. I get excited for limited edition flavor Oreos while I've never tasted Handles ice cream (even though there is one 10 min away)

Can't say you like other things you have never tried before, which is what i was getting at. A lot of people never knew what a snicker doodle was when PES released their protein (a cinnamon sugar based cookie). this comes back to the common phrase "Can't knock it till you try it"

If you have a handels 10 minutes away and never made a trip you done goofed.

"Can't say you like things you've never tried before" makes no sense. His excitement over a new PT flavor has nothing to do with the fact he's never had a churro. So I can't get excited about a new Oreo flavor if I've never tried Handles? I don't think so. And I didn't "done goofed" if I have no desire to try Handles

"Can't say you like things you've never tried before" makes no sense. =s

Makes no sense?
So you can write off all desserts and food related items you never had before without trying them?
"Hey i never been to this restaurant, but the food quality sucks.... but hey i never been there "
"Oh i saw that on shelves, i never tried it, but i would never buy it"
"Have you had this special at X or Y Restaurant? , No, and I don't play on trying it because I won't like it"
yeah thats a valid opinion... Thats why "Can't knock it till you try it" exists.

Just like in supplements. your going to write off products without trying them this is why i gave this example.

A lot of people never knew what a snicker doodle was when PES released their protein (a cinnamon sugar based cookie). this comes back to the common phrase "Can't knock it till you try it."

People were clueless on what it was and what it tasted like before even buying it. So if you never had a snickerdoodle cookie and wanted to buy that flavor would you? Probably not because you do not know what to expect. Same could be said with any other company and things you may have not tried or consumed.

His excitement over a new PT flavor has nothing to do with the fact he's never had a churro.

You missed the new product release thread where he asked what a churro was as he never had one and was confused on how it would taste. A simple google search solves that.

So I can't get excited about a new Oreo flavor if I've never tried Handles?

who says you have to have an oreo flavor when you go to handels? They have over 30+ Flavors.
If you like banana get banana cream pie
if you like cookie dough get CCCD
If you like peanut butter, get PB Parfait, Chocolate PB Brownie, Vanilla with peanut Butter Cups
If you like cherry get cherry cordinal or black cherry chocolate chip
If you like caramel.. caramel pretzel crunch, snappy turtle
if you wanted oreo's Midnight Madness and Oreo Dough GNO can tell you as well as LLN how good Handels truly is, even mkretz

etc..

Hahaha bro, you don't even understand my arguments so I'm done. I said nothing about a Handles Oreo flavor. I was pointing out the absurdity of your comment. Ant didn't say churros suck and pop tarts are better. He was excited about a new pop tart flavor. The fact that he has never tried a churro should have no impact on whether or not he can be pumped about a pop tart.

You take bits and pieces from arguments (like the words "Oreo" and "Handles") and spin your own, unrelated counter-arguments (like your Oreo/Handles comment, picture included). I said nothing about a Handles Oreo flavor.

Anyway, I'm over it. Carry on with the food porn.

You were the one that brought up oreo's in the first place mate.

"Can't say you like things you've never tried before" makes no sense.

That still does not signify your statement of Don't knock it till you try it which you says makes no sense. It does and it applies to everything on these boards
workouts, training, diet, nutrition, and supplements.
Are you going to knock X or Y product or flavor until you try it? Possibly not.
Are you going to knock X or Y restaurant until you try it? Possibly not.
How can you deem Layne norton's PHAT, or Kris Ghetin's workout program, Lyle's Generic bulking program are bunk until you try it and run it for yourself? (just an example)
How can you say Creatine, BCAA's, Ergonine, Conqu3r Unleashed are not good products until you try them?

If you have a handels 10 minutes away and never made a trip you done goofed.

^^ This is all i said about Handel's, If you don't want to try handels and their premium ice cream that is perfectly fine. There are plenty of others in here who will certainly take advantage of what they offer compared to buying brand name stuff in general grocery stores which may not be as good. Only reason I included Oreo with handels is because they offer those seasonal flavors which may justify you to try them. If not I am not losing sleep.

Ant didn't say churros suck and pop tarts are better.
I never said that, nor did he. I brought up Churro's from this post here.
This is exactly what you missed, and exactly what i pointed out in my last quote, but you skimmed right over it.

Hence the sarcasm

can someone tell e what a frosted churro is supposed to taste like?

Finaflex Clear Protein coming soon in Frosted Churro

Just like how Ben has never had a snickerdoodle and is a PES rep. So when PES released SnickerDoodle in select. So without knowing or trying one before how would he know what SnickerDoodle protein powder would taste like. This again goes back to my First post
Can't knock it till you try it,. Rep or not, even if he never had a cookie or tried the protein powder how could he honestly suggest it to others without trying it himself?

Anyway, I'm over it. Carry on with the food porn.

Looking back on the last 10-15 pages, how much have you really contributed in here?
Oh wait....

Jesus, you're dense. Sorry my food porn/supplement game isn't as on point as you'd like. I'll make it my New Years resolution to take time away from my career, wife, and children to contribute more so you can criticize my posts (like you do everyone else's on the threads in which you are active) to give you something to do aside from lifting, eating, the cell phone game. Like I said, I'm done with this. I'm off to enjoy a wedding with friends so I'm sorry if I don't post anything until Monday. Cheers!
