LGD and Cholesterol Priblems

I wanted to share with everyone that my cholesterol is terrible after doing 8 weeks of LGD at 5 mg. It was not before the cycle due to prior bloods being done. Now 10-12 weeks after doing LGD my bad cholesterol is still sky-high and my good cholesterol is very low. My doctor recommends me fixing my diet and a possibly adding in statin medication to fix my issue. My diet is basically the same all the time, all year round. I dont do fast food or soda or even sugar in my coffee. It is basmati rice, salsa, 98% lean ground turkey with low sodium taco seasoning and the occasional steak or some bacon on the weekends. I eat salad everyday with every meal except breakfast which I don't eat, and use a fiber supplement daily. I have done ph's and methyl's, and such before with bloods coming back within ok range but after my first cycle of LGD my cholesterol is having a very hard time recovering from it. :werd: It may just be my genetics, but I would like to warn everyone of this apparent issue. I did however gain 5 lbs of lean mass. Good luck with your runs.

Thanks for sharing. This is something everyone should be expecting when using anabolics (steroids/SARM's).

What were you using for cholesterol control on cycle?

What's recommended for cholesterol control?

As far as drugs go, statins.

If you want a more natural approach...

- Tocotrienols
- Omega-3 (maintaining a higher Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio)
- garlic extract
- Policosanol
- RYR
- CoQ10 (when taking statin drugs)
- Plant sterols
- Fruits/vegetables/oatmeal (fibre)
- Whey protein
- and many more....

Also, realize that impaired liver function (from cycling, diet or lifestyle) can lead to higher than normal cholesterol values. This is another reason to take liver support supplements even when not using methylated compounds. TUDCA has been shown to lower blood lipid levels (cholesterol) in people with impaired hepatic function. Despite not lowering total cholesterol, NAC can cause a shift to a more positve balance with an in crease in the good cholesterol (HDL).

What levels were effected?

AAS doesn't touch my triglycerides. Typically, they only raise my LDL. I no this is peptides.. so im curious.

Did you suffer and HDL reduction, or an LDL increase? Treatment varies based on what aspect of cholesterol is involved. 1, or both?

Statins do better at reducing LDL, but the active in heart help does much better raising HDL.

Did this mess up your liver? DId you get a liver profile done? My close friend got his liver trashed on lgd. It was the only thing he was running except mk677.

Was using OL armicar pro, liv 52 , fish oil 3000 mg, co-Q10, multi, tudca, psylium husk

My liver values on my bloods were perfect as well.

My liver values were perfect.

What was effected was LDL at 190 and myHDL is very low about 38. Before this my bloods always came back within very good range.

The bloods also showed that I have a high blood glucose level 105 after an 18 hr fast.

Your cholesterol isn't crazy alarming. A statin would bring that 190 down FAST. Heart Help will bring that HDL up nicely. Those two are standard in my PCTs for this exact reason.

That fasting glucose of 105 is alarming with an 18 hour fast for pre-diabetes.

Go to walmart and buy a glucometer. Eat 80ish grams of quick acting carbs. Check your blood sugar 1, 2, and 3 hours after. See if you are under 95 by the 3 hour mark.

Serum glucoses can easily be thrown off due to stress of blood work and stuff

To really help narrow things down, either ask your practitioner to order and HbA1C or order it yourself from directlabs for like $36.

I wouldn't play around with that, if you are pre-diabetic.. nip that shiat in the butt asap so you don't have to deal with diabetes. Not a cool disease to brag about.

Cholesterol High + Blood Sugar High = Typically coincides with high blood pressure, is your pressure high?

SARMS ruin lipids bloods, OSTA, LGD, etc... When they say "no side effects", they are lying out of their ass... Get off SARMS and PH's and they will go back to normal...

I guess we SARMs users need to start doing our homework and taking cycle support more seriously. Lots to learn from our big brothers who cycle the "real" stuff, lol

Very interesting that your cholesterol is still all fkd up.. I ran 16mg lgd and 11-kt for 8 weeks a little while back and bloods straight after last day of pct had my numbers right in the middle of normal range.

Its under control now. But I was told your body converts cholesterol to test among other things you need. Shutting your hormones down can effect these levels and conversion. Leading to elevated levels. Especially if eating alot of red meat and such. I told my doctor what I took after the tests where wacky. It will speed up family history problems.

On another note, it may have been super strong dosed LGD. I was beta testing for pr*meval labs prior to them releasing the super LGD. It was a free bottle.

Post the numbers of you bloods if you have them. Did you pull bloods before this as well.

What would be the risk of having messed up cholesterol values (low HDL/high LDL) during a SARMs cycle (8 to 12 week period), given that they go back to normal pretty quickly after stopping? Especially considering that most other causes of cardiovascular problems are absent - like smoking, inactivity, obesity, etc... and that our diet tends to be healthy and clean?

Take CEL cycle assist year round seriously there's no reason not to

This.

Cycle Assist+Niacin year round fixed my cholesterol issues. Both staples for me.

Just boosting this one up to the top as i am experiencing the same thing. SARMs are not without their side effects. Had the bloods done after cycle and prior to prep (16 weeks out) and came back with sky high cholesterol. I am now about 4 weeks off everything and rejiggering the diet to incorporate far less meat and sourcing protein from egg whites and whey along with lots of vegan sources such as quinoa and legumes. Fish oils and fiber up and obviously a solid PCT to get everything back in line.
