Ok true, I guess they deserve / are just asking to get raped then due to 'no rules in war'. TFF comparing this to WWII standards. You're saying there are no generals or commanders who people take orders from? No I'm not war veteran, but come on.

Obama campaigned and had a $1 trillion appropriated gor infrastructure, and s large percentage went to his cronies. And then he and everyone else cries about needing more money for infrastructure. They had it and didn't use it properly. That's right the dems were in control of both houses when they pissed that away.

Thank you for that, but I never said I'm supporting Obama or Hilary. We need to get corporate puppets out of the white house.
 
States are responsible for maintaining their roads, and it's ironic most states like new York with ****ty roads are ran by democrats.
 
Most of the top people in both parties, may as well be in the same corrupt party. There is no difference between them. As ax1 stated before, we're basically living in a monopolistic union.

NY also happens to be the most populous state in the north. Cold winters/frost, and highly populated areas = worst roads in the country. It's not a partisan thing.
 
It's the legislature's responsibility to appropriate funds to keep it up. The worst road I've ever been on are in Baltimore. I saw a Honda hit a pot hole so big the front bumper hit the road. But you go into Baltimore County and it's a noticeable improvement in road conditions.

Well, rape will happen but I dont think it would be widespread at all with our men. The issue is something else your not getting which is the culture of war and being young men. Generals and commanders give training and battle orders but they are not babysitters.

There are countries with women in the military, yes....but you have to look deeper. Some countries have different cultures, ISIS women are prepared blow themselves up to gain a few points. Other countries arent even in war. Then those that are involved you have to see if women are on the battlefield on combat and what roles they play in. Its far more complicated than that.

Then you have to know whats going on in the inside of each of those countries which may not even be discussed, what goes on in the inside stays in the inside, there are social repercussions that goes on with being a snitch (snitching is ok in this case of course), you can see how sexual harassment and rape in most cases in the USA are not even reported.

If the US has a 'rape culture' or 'harassment culture' strongly in tact, simply leaving it as 'status quo' is obviously not the thing to do, but it seems to be what you are suggesting. You are also suggesting that the military does not discipline it's own. Stopping rape and/or harassment is not 'babysitting'. I find your words slightly offensive and also a bit cowardly. I find this surprising coming from you of all people, who seems to have a knack for challenging the system.

You dont stop rape, you only prosecute after it has happened. Eveybody knows its illegal, and more importantly everybody knows its wrong but it happens. The general or commander of course will punish for inappropriate behaviors in most cases, but its not like they know whats going on in the personal lives of everybody or that they even care because their job is to prepare and win in war, not go out with the kids and be in bunk beds with them.

I'm not sure how it works in the military, but every unit has a leader, and should be kept in line by them. If someone is acting like a child and interfering with the cohesiveness and effectiveness of the unit, then punish them, strongly. That's how you get that crap to stop.

The last thing a unit leader needs to worry about is political correctness on the battlefield for days and your fighting it out with your enemy and trying to kill them.

If I was commander Id leave the women at the base, and have a separate unit apart from the men. I dont want to deal with nonsense, and I especially dont need to put my men in an uncomfortable position when I want their focus to be on the battlefield and punish them for saying *** or puzzy or cursing just because they offended someone.
 
I'm talking about serious ongoing harassment. Little things are whatever. Rape should equal public castration in the military. Bit harsh, but so is rape.

You think these women going into the military are going to be worried about a little bit of hazing, or a few words here and there? I seriously doubt that.

If you really respect women leave them at home, dont let them be on the battlefield.

A mans job is to protect women, not put them in harms way.
 
The last thing we need is women having a combat MOS. Even if they met the PT requirements, our men, under critical levels of stress, don't need a distraction. And Gutterpump, combat brings out the ugliness in people. Have you ever seen someone guzzle a container of mouthwash just to be able to function? Our men commit suicide for ****'s sake.

According to the pentagon, more men are sexual assaulted. And very few of those aggressors were women, compared to men.

Putting sexual attracted people together in an intimate close knit community such as a fighting unit leads to unwanted advances, on top of the physical issues the Marine Commandant discovered after his year long experiment with an integrated male female unit.

Who said they would be raped?? Aren't you the same guy always saying other people are putting words in your mouth? I'm guessing you're 20 and always got participation ribbons growing up. Realize that not everyone lives on lollipop lane like you have your whole life. Being in combat is a brutal, life and death struggle that is no place for women. It's not about getting raped asshat, it's about being mentally capable of doing a job that in no way, shape or form is about being nice.

I welcome them to train and take a role as reserves because if shyt ever hits the fan we would be ready for it...but I would make them all female battalions and training maybe welcome men as advisors or something dunno.....

Oh posting on mobile....I just said it would happen but that's not the primary issue. That's an issue that happens everywhere and I do see stressed out men at war being a bad mix that should be avoided for the benefit of both parties.

I think the main reason that my views differ so greatly from others in here, is that I grew up in Canada. I am 100% a NYer now though, but definitely with an outside perspective.

Thats not all of the ways you want to suppress women and infringe on their liberties. You also support government stealing the fruits of their labor and forcing women to buy in government services without be able to opt out. Basically you suppress a women's right to be a strong rugged individual and have them hand over part ownership of herself to criminal government, and if she decides to resist the IRS is kicking her door down at gunpoint and throwing her in the slammer.
