What kind of Fatty Foods OK with ArA?

Trying to maximize my ArA run here. I don't take fish oil and try to cut out other anti-inflammatories and omega-3s.

What kind of fat sources do you all eat during your ArA run? I follow IIFYM so nothing is out of the question, but I'm trying to find more "micro-friendly" foods since I am eating way too much ice cream and goldfish for my fat macros haha.

Butter, coconut oil, fat from meats, lots of cheese, avocados typically

Ohhh cheese, that's a good one.

Doesn't gouda cheese (and maybe other cheeses?) contain a bunch of omega-3 fats?

never looked into it really. I end up eating colby, jack, and muenster typically. Sometimes mozzerella

Yeah, that's the thing. I'm trying to find better "fat sources" aka more micros (if possible) that is ArA-friendly (so no omega-3s and not much anti-inflammatories). Most things I find have either less micros or aren't too good for ArA!

I think you're putting a little too much into it... Your food should come first. You shouldn't tailor your diet around ArA, IMO.

I eat cheese, beef, turkey, chicken, eggs, etc. all on ArA and I'm still seeing great results.

I still eat salmon as well. I just don't eat salmon right after/before ArA.

I would mainly just stay away from fish oil. If you are worried about anything else just good it and see if there is a significant amount of omegas in it. I wouldn't worry too much though.

This leads me to my next question... How much amount of omega-3s is considered too much in a meal if you had to roughly guess? I don't know whether 50mg or 5,000mg is a lot lol.

You're seriously over complicating things. Just stay away from higher omega-3 foods if you're worried.

Okay so full fat milk, eggs, peanut butter, and cheese can be consumed at ANY time, or just 3+ hours away from ArA dosing?

milk, eggs, and cheese should be good anytime unless they are the special omega 3 versions.

best of luck on your run. Yeah just avoid the added omega-3's, and rich foods (like fish) near your dosage time

Dose your fish oil away from the time you take your ARA.. stop worrying about anything else. If you are taking your ARA pre-workout like you should if you did your research.. you shouldn't really be eating fats pre, intra, or post workout. So you are fine.

Shouldn't be eating fats pre and post workout? I have a big meal (like 120ish grams carbs and maybe like 10g fats) about 1.5 hours pre workout. After working out, about 30mins to an hour after I'll have another big meal with the same amount of carbs but maybe like 20-30g of fat. What is wrong about that??

Nothing. I think he means Omega 3 P/I/P. The fat in Soy Lecithin or GMS is actually good because it emulsifies the product

It'd be quite hard to stop eating all Omega 3's and I don't recommend that. I'd say just be more aware of WHEN you eat it more than SHOULD.

ArA isn't potent enough to tailor your diet around it's use. I'd drop fish oil supplementation for the ArA run then resume when you stop ArA. Diet is the most important part of body composition changes, not an OTC supp.

Gotcha. So if I eat foods with omega-3 fats before or after workout, how long should I aim it away from my ArA dosing? 2+ hours? 3+? 4+?

IMO it shouldn't matter much.

I mean if you eat the eggs enriched with extra omega 3 or 16 oz salmon filet I'd wait a 4+ hours but everything else should be fine.

Jiigzz will know better than me but I don't see it ruining the ArA run

Enriched omega-3 foods should be the only ones your concerned about. In this case, as far away as possible (4+ hours).
