It's pricey but a great carb source for intra workout.
Yeah, i don't really use much of it to be honest, it doesn't take much intra.
Damn, now that's some nice progress!!
If you have been following his log he is probably working harder than any of the guys in this challenge right now . Doing 2 a days and what not. Montego1 is pushing it like a contest prep. I know some of the ladies are hitting it that often though.

Two a day crew here. Gonna be cutting down on the two a days for a bit though but still bust my tail

Actually three a days. A.M. HIIT. weights, fasted LISS before bed :)

14 cardio sessions a week and 6 weight training sessions. Huge reason why I'm not flat as a pancake after dropping 30lbs. Kept a ton of size still.

That work load! I have to keep things gradual or my joints screw me over and I end up with downtime and that slows everything down. Could do a few more session of LISS or walking I am sure but pretty happy with my progress right now since still training for strength at the same time. Gotta love hitting PR's while dropping body fat.

What do you consider or what is considered fasted? I just curious since you do it in the pm.

How do you have the time and/or energy for all of those workouts along with everything else you have to do in a day? Some days I have trouble finding time for ONE workout and end up having to skip or move my days around and change on which day I take a rest day.

Usually immediately before bed so about 2.5 hours after my last meal.

You just gotta MAKE time man. I wake up at 4am to get in my HIIT before I wake up kids and get them ready for school. I lift as soon as I'm off work around 3-4 before I go pick up my youngest from school, then I cardio at night around 930-10 street I put the kids to bed. I make dinner and do homework in there too. It's all about time management.

Wow. I don't even have kids and feel like I'm up and running from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed, maybe once or twice a week do I find to just sit and watch an hour of TV.
Between work, school, my fraternity, the gym, food, and my girlfriend, I feel like I have 0 down time lol.

Yep 3 kid crew, single mom crew here. I get the kids up, take them to school, go do cardio. Go to work. Pick up kids, go lift and go do cardio. Bring them home do homework dinner and bed. If you ant it bad enough you find a way.

Just a quick update, as I've been a bit quiet in here recently...

I've been hitting PR's regularly recently...hit the big 3 all this week. So, cycle is going nicely!!

I'm also seeing some nice improvements in my physique. I really felt like I was getting fluffier than I would have liked, until we took pics last night. I still have a lot of improving to do, but I'm moving in the right direction, and that's what's important to me.

Here are some progress pics. There is less natural light in yesterday's pics, but I think even with the light variations the progress is still pretty visible. Excuse my dipply butt...still working on that!! ;)

2 weeks ago vs yesterday...

Lol it was fair judging. My stomach could have been leaner probably (loose skin from weight loss makes it hard to know) my arms and back were too lean and muscular, plus capped shoulder will get you marked down in bikini.. And I need more booty. But I am happy with what I brought to stage. Next time we bring more. Gonna keep building and doing me

Ha! No, just endeavoring to stay on top of all of my responsibilities along with all of the chaos going on at my university right now, while killing it at the gym.

Very good progress especially in six weeks time. Make sure you're hammering on the weights!

Quit, no way! Just updating my main log with the stuff. I am still trucking along kicking ass, breaking PR's and slowly etching may abs in while trying not to cut out carbs to much to maintain strength for strength focused training. I will tweak things in the next few weeks to focus more on leaning but now I am doing a wicked recomp! You know me I have some tricks up my sleeve for my final pics. :)
Ha! No, just endeavoring to stay on top of all of my responsibilities along with all of the chaos going on at my university right now, while killing it at the gym.
It is great you have other priorities, you won't be so let down when I win! :)

Good to know I need to expect a target lying down hiding for my kill shot! ;)

Yeah he has made some progress on leaning up. End of this week is 6 weeks for most. I think some others have until next week.

Thank you I've been sidelined from the gym and told to rest. I'm having massive swelling and it's been suggested I have a mild case of exhaustion. So just trying to get calories in.. Rest.. And get back to where my body realizes I'm not trying to kill it

My physical transformation thus far isn't as impressive as some of you. However, my mindset is so much better & my strength has improved drastically (I'll put up more numbers at the final). I'm hitting a new PR almost every power day & most of my GVT movement weights have gone up at least 5lbs (some as much as 10) in the last 2 weeks. I don't know my current measurements. Weight is 121lbs. So, I'm up 4lbs & not too much fluffier. So, I'm happy so far. Just hoping when I finish this bulk/recomp & cut that all the hard work will really show then. I'm content with the changes I've seen in 4 weeks though. The first 2 weeks of this I was reverse dieting & still working my old program.

I can totally see that happening. After going through a prep and not taking some time to recharge the batteries the body will fight back eventually.

Make sure fluid intake is still high....especially if you're eating a cheat or a calorie surplus. Not being hydrated to shuttle the nutrients can definitely cause some bloat and swelling. Namely around the ankles and lower legs.

There are definite improvements!

A shift in mindset is a powerful thing and will continue to drive you once the competition is over. You're killing it! Keep doing so!

Oh no. Sometimes our bodies have to remind us to slow down & recharge . You've worked so hard in the last months to prep for your show...you deserve a little rest & so does your body. Take some down time & recharge, so you can back even stronger lady. You did great!!

Thank you. A stronger mindset is a beautiful thing. I feel like my mind is finally in a place where it is really helping push my body vs being what was holding me back. I'm back to 2 a days 3 days a week, only taking Fridays as full rest days (to gear up for power Sat & Sun), & feeling fantastic.

Just a little teaser of what I've been working on. Been in that 2 week hiatus between cycle and PCT (starting PCT today), strength has faded, felt flat as hell, and small. But it pays off in the end. Pretty happy with how things are going but our work is never over.
Never settle :)

Looking good definitely leaning up like a boss!. What setting are you using on your camera? It looks like the contrast is really high on that pic your outline is glowing. At least that makes it highlight the cuts even better! Abs and obliques looking good. Kicking some ass!

Yeah I mess with the contrast a little so that you can see the definition in the pic that you can see in person. For some reason I have veins all over but in pics you can't see any. Muscle separation is almost the same way.
Thanks though man!!

You look like a beast either way!!!!! Wasn't a call out just noticed it and thought if there is a setting to do easily on the camera to accentuate the cuts like that, I might want too try it out too. I can never see my veins the way I see it in real life either. I just use the auto-adjust feature if the pictures look messed up. That and crop them to get all the junk out of the background.

I know, I was just explaining why it looked the way it did hahaha. I just mess with the brightness and contrast until I feel like it more accurately represents the way I look in person. I crop it too. I really wish pictures showed our veins, they're one of the things I'm happiest about developing as I lean out!

Another huge improvement for me is leg size. I've always had chicken legs and I feel like I'm finally starting to bring them up to be proportional with my upper body.

Yeah I was noticing a nice balance there. Is your left knee injured? I where sleeves on both all the time for legs now when lifting unless I just forget. I feel it for a day or two when I do forget.

I wear them on both knees as well, as I get leaner and drier I've noticed some aching/tightness in the front of my knees. I've had tendinitis before and I'd like to try to avoid that as best I can while still progressing in the gym.
I only have one on in the picture because I was in the process of undressing to shower before work, and I thought "hey I should take a picture!" halfway through. Lol
