TRT - Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Hi all,

Forgive me for this as I imagine this has been touched on a number of times already. I'd hugely appreciate your advice as I'm feeling a little bit overwhelmed with all the products and plans out there.

Scenario

- I'm 26 years old, quite active and eat a good diet
- I've had classic symptoms of low T for a few years, only recently thought low T could be the culprit
- I recently received results back for a testosterone test I purchased online via Pharmacy2U.
- My results were 11.8 nmol/l which I think is around 340. I did take this test about 4pm though but even with that taken into account I think the reading is still very low.
- I wont go to the doctors, they're unlikely to help as my result is still considered within their so called 'normal range' which is nonsense

Initial Action

- After much digging online I found somewhere to purchase Testogel. I've been using this for a week and I have noticed great improvement in mood and general well being

Advice Required

- Testogel is really expensive non-prescription and I've heard it's terrible for estrogen conversion. Can anyone advise a good alternative testosterone booster accompanied with a plan? I'm not looking to saturate myself, just up my levels to whatever would be considered average for my age
- Will I need to look into taking estrogen blockers and HCG too?
- Are there any other products I would benefit from?
- Can anyone suggest a TRT protocol?

Lastly is it Possible?

To actually boost testosterone naturally? I've seen many articles suggesting it is but I haven't actually seen any evidence to support this. I was considering trying DIM, d aspartic acid, vitamin D, eating plenty of healthy fats (nuts, coconut oil etc...) & ZMA. Is it more a case that these things support/slightly elevate levels rather than cause a real increase, therefore I should be doing them alongside TRT anyway?

check out this users results using Reversitol v2 and Testabolan. His starting levels are below yours.

You shouldnt initiate a TRT by your own. It requires a lot of knowlege and frequent blood tests so you dont damage your body.

Clomid restart prescribed by a doctor is the first and pretty darn easy step to see if you can get your HTPA firing on all cylinders again.

If that works, no need for TRT.

If not, then you'll need to look into other options.

Lots of great info in the anti-aging section of the forum.

I understand what you're saying but my experience with doctors is that they don't care as much as you will. I've read opn many forums that patients are being issued with Testogel/Androgel and not given any other advice. Just "off you go and take this". I intend to check my blood myself as regularly as I can. At least at this stage I know my T levels are low though I don't know what the underlying cause is.

Hi Kboxer, I've just done some brief research and at first glance this looks like a great alternative. I'd much rather kick start my own bodies production than a continuous course which could mess up my furniture! Thank you for the suggestion, much appreciated.

I would recommend you going to your doc. At least you and your doc can get to the root cause of why your test level are low because you are so young. You can keep looking for docs if the 1st one turns you down after bloodwork or find a TRT clinic or TRT online clinic if you only want TRT and not to find root cause.

TRT will simply mask your problems. If you were in your 40s, I would say go for it.

home-made TRT should only be done if you know what you are doing.....since you started this thread, I would say you don't know (yet), but at least you are trying to educate yourself.

TRT is life long commitment. There is no off season.

You're right. I wanted to crack on with it but at least the doctor may be able to find the root cause. I'll at least give that ago before self medicating any further.

Good luck on your first day! Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for the advice

Don't stop at a doc, just use them to get your referral to an endo. You want to work with a specialist that will help treat you and not just run testosterone tests and put you on TRT. Highly recommend going to the Anti-Aging forum and poking around, check out other sites and educate yourself. The benefit of guys thinking about TRT or having issues is that in even the last 2-3 years, there is so much more info available and specialists are becoming more knowledgeable.
