TGR's Modified PowerBuilding v2.0

Get the medium with double meat. Cuts down on all the bread. Drop the mayo and a medium with double meat is around 880 cals I think. If you want to splurge get the Hawaiian with double meat! Pork bbq with Cole slaw

^that Hawaiian sounds too good. I wonder if they have firehouse my me, they did in my hometown in IN but i dont know about here in IL.

That sounds good. I did the double meat at McAllisters in MB... that place is great.

Thomas, I can't ever keep up with your log but you're always killing it! ??

STL area they do, but not here. Naperville has one.

You can't go wrong w Meatball; everything they make is gold, but a large New York Steamer is guaranteed gainz. Gettin' that red meat in your diet!

Just saw online that there is one 10 mins from my apt. Nice.

Deadlift singles tomorrow. I'm unsure which way I'm going. After the above, I will probably go 520 or 530. No PR, but heavy enough with confidence that I won't miss. I'd like to pull multiple heavy singles, so, alarm set a little earlier. Gotta have enough time to do the warmup and mobility I like with proper rest periods.

Sky's the limit man! Just play it how you feel it!!

Eat pizza

I was thinking the same things. Wife cooked an awesome pork roast and pinto beans though. Maybe I can just put that on the pizza.

Eat lots of pizza lol. I'm in the same boat with Puccah. Every time I come back here it's like 105 new posts. I won't lie I skip to the end. I do however always watch your video on YouTube. New goal. Keep up with Thomas's log!

It is hard to keep up with him.

You're telling me. 90% of my notifications are this thread.

Wut? I've been slim posting for a few weeks.

You're getting on that strength train now. You've changed your routine over, and you're going to hit a moment in each lift where you're like, "yeah, this is what I was missing", or "this feels so much better and things are getting easier".

As a matter of fact, you've been saying that since you went to your new gym.

I'm hitting those moments now on squats and bench, and fortunately when those two were stalling my DL was fueling my drive.

It's the journey, like Ian says, that's what matters. It's easy to vocalize the little PRs here and there, but the unspoken victories come with painless lifting and volume. IMO.

You're so right. Half way through our session today I made the comment to my partner this must be getting easier I'm giggle during sets that I used to need slap city for. Should be pushing an easy 315 bench soon. I'm beyond ready to break my life goal of 1000 pounds and start another one.

315 on bench is close for you. I have a feeling that your DL is going to explode when you get the leverage down.

Yea I feel you there. I feel my DL in a wave a three spots during the lift instead of a solid hinge. Once I get tight it should go up

You can dream for whatever you like, but I encourage you to think beyond 1,000lb total. That's just the beginning!

Most definitely. I have to keep mini goals going so I don't get disappointed for too long

Ran out of time; I wanted to do more banded reps but my alarm had just gone off. I got up early enough but was dragging so I didn't get in there early enough.

I have plenty of excuses as to why I missed that 515. Gonna do a couple cycles of banded work on all sets to improve lock out.

I was faster on the 495 than the 475. I really slowed down my set up and concentrated on sitting back. This is something I need to continue.

Get after it fellas.

How many times do you try for a new 1RM or near-max singles, Reg? Good work nonetheless. 495 looked good.

Since hitting my max of 530 4 months ago I've tried 540 once and 515 twice.

Like I said on IG you will hit this in no time flat!

You're sacrificing positioning to break the weight off the ground. That's why you're able to get it to mid-shin/knees and boom done.

Do you see this on the other lifts or just the 515?

I'd agree with positioning being your issue. At 515 at the knee you're in a tough position to get through *******.

Bat hangs for the win. I'm thinking you can clean up a few things to make another big jump in progress on your deadlift.

You shouldn't have to hang more than once a day. If you look at your vids, you start with a round lower back. I figured it was just your thing, but now that you're rehabbing your back So much, It's time to remedy it. Make sure you're braced properly and that you're tilting at the pelvis rather than leaving it pointed straight at the floor. Think of Ian's squat. That's kind of what you're after.

Also, you look kind of crammed into yourself during your pulls. You sometimes don't get your hips through and sometimes don't lock your knees. I'd try widening up just a smidge and opening your toes, see how that does for you.

Yes. It just isn't as pronounced. This goes to back to that post herder made about your pelvis being tucked under you.

OK, cues for tilting at the pelvis? I don't entirely understand what you mean when you say it's pointed at the floor.

I do see the rounding on some pulls, and I'll definitely go back and work on that. Thanks for all input guys.

I'd try to keep a little more even hip extension and the spine braced neutral. At 515 you ended up at the knee with nowhere to go and hips unable to fire through.

Firing the quads and glutes harder should did you of that soft knee and *******.

Yeah, think about sitting back through your hamstrings instead of your ass.

Don't feel bad, Reg - I'm in the exact same boat. It can be fixed with a bit of conscious effort and practice.

This is a tad confusing too. Not sure what you mean.

I've got the best guys giving advice, so I'll get it eventually. Good news is my stalling is a technical error, and that can be fixed.
