Welcome To Anabolic Minds! Introduction Thread!

I figure I should genuinely introduce myself instead of quoting movies with Admin.

I've been lifting since age 12, fell in love with the iron and have been at it ever since. However a series of injuries (sports and otherwise) has kept setting me back. Grade 2 separations in right a/c joint at 15 and 16 that has never truly healed, 2 torn labrums at 17, blownout left ACL at 18; and last year I had my right leg crushed by well over 1000 pounds dislocating my knee, blowing out my MCL and ACL, damaging my patellar tendon, cartilage, and all kinds of small stuff in there, breaking my heel bone, and tearing ligaments in my ankle. So it has been an uphill battle to say the least but I have learned so much about the body and rehab firsthand. As well as a lot about the mental side of things.

I wish I had known about this forum sooner but I am very glad to have found a community of helpful and knowledgeable people. I have only been on here a relatively short while and I have learned quite a bit. I hope I can share some of my knowledge as well.
Welcome...officially! Props for battling through setbacks and not giving up.:)

Welcome Gains!

Thanks for all the welcome messages. It appears to be a good group of people on this board. I look forward to learning from you all and helping other if I can.

Welcome Brandon. You'll find lots of extremely knowledgeable and helpful people here. Hit me up if you ever have any questions. If I don't know the topic I'm sure I can point you to who does:)

Thanks!!

Apparently I posted a couple times in 2014. Funny...I don't remember that.

Hello all. I am new to the forum so thought i should introduce myself. I am a member/contributer on multiple other forums from fourwheelers, ecigs, to football.

I am 25 years old and currently in the navy working on my degree. I have been in about 6 years now. This is when i really fell in love with working out. My first deployment i realized how stressful things can get and couldnt find a solution. I just wanted to sleep. After a couple months I started replacing naps/sleep with working out. I loved how it made me feel. I would ride that high out the rest of the day. Now i am a full blown addict and advise anyone i know dealing with depression or anxiety to give the gym a shot. Im sure you all feel the same way.
Anyways look forward to getting to know everyone and gaining more knowledge. Seems like a tight community.

Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Whats happenin everyone!
I am a noob deluxe to being an active forum member! I usually just read and gather info, but Ive been taking my training very seriously as of recent and would love to be a part of this motivated anabolic community!!

Im a Marine currently deployed and am trying to make the absolute most out of my training environment. Im 25 and have been lifting since I was about 18. Ive only seriously been lifting for about the past year. My formal lifting training is in powerlifting at the great Monster Garage Gym in Illinois. Currently weighing in at 205 with about 8% body fat and looking to get to 220 with >7% in 6 months time from now while maintaining superior running ability. Might be a little ambitious:think: Cant wait to get involved here and get some great knowledge and contribute as much as possible! Cheers!
