Turff49 Quest for Success

I havent had that in a while.. how does Five Guys compare to South Street?

My two favourite places in T.O. for burgers is Hole E Burgers and The Works. So good for when you want to be bad!

Maybe the fries paid off last night!

Was going to do some back but ran out of time. Gotta work my outdoor job today. Should keep me from tightening up. I think my desk job during the week is a contributor to the back issues I've been having...

Be proud Brian! Freakin nothing stops you! Inspiring my friend!!!!

thanks Mark.
I try not to be stopped by circumstances but sometimes it happens. Luckily I've learned not to push myself into a total stoppage yet. Still got back to do and that will be tomorrow.

Nice job Brian, glad you made it through that one ok...

Yeah, hopefully I don't run into too many of those times where I have to take extended time off. Luckily I'm still able to push heavy on legs...

Every time I read one of your high volume/high weight lifting sessions I think I need to step up my game, then I remember the DOMS! Nice job Brian!

Fell behind a few days...

Sorry about your back, but glad it gets under control enough to lift. You're moving some massive weights with your legs to have back issues.

yeah, says Mister volume man himself...lol
The Doms aren't bad until I throw down a bunch of carbs. And even then short lived.

Your not going all out - blows me out of the water
being modest today I see...lol Your lifts are right there with mine, even better on most, but thanks for the compliment!

The leg exercises I do put no compression on my back. That's the only reason I'm able to do them. On Leg Press I follow BK's philosophy and I go until my but starts to lift then that's as deep as you go. Once your butt lifts then you are incorporating hips and will start rounding. It's all legs on leg press and no back.

Not sure how I go heavy on Hacks. I go deep and get great drive from my quads and glutes.

It's possible the heavy Front Squats were the culprit to my back issues also. Something I'll have to pay attention to and may just stay light and not go over 185-205. Just do more sets or reps. 225 feels heavy and the 245 was a bear. Felt both weights in my back.

Wife goes under the knife today. Hip replacement. It's been bone on bone for awhile now so hopefully this relieved some of the pain she's been having.

All best to you both. I wish her fast healing!

Saying a prayer for her! Hope it helps and she heals quickly!

You've had some super strong workouts!! Glad you're able to lift!

Prayers for your wife Brian.

Thinking about you, your wife and family during this time.

Thanks guys. Yep, will be very long day as surgery isn't until 2pm now...

Oh wow! That's late!

Good luck to your wife!

My dad had his done last year.. and having the other one done this November .... totally has changed his life (in a great way)...

Here is to hoping for a quick and full recovery!

Damnnnnnn doctors.....
Wife was prepped, IV in, anesthesiologist was going over everything and the doc comes in and cancelled the surgery today...
Due to a discrepancy of volume of water my wife drank taking her meds. Nurse says my wife chugged the water, I and my wife said she sipped. Friggin doc cancels it based on nurse saying "chugged". I about lost it. Thoughts going through my head would've caused me to go to jail...
Wife is distraught.
They will reschedule but we don't have a date yet. Just unbelievable.....

That is insane!!!!! The mental prep alone to have surgery is so stressful... I totally feel for her... sorry man.

I think they messed up. Janet said they gave her 2 Celebrex to take. Neither one of us have ever heard of anyone being given Celebrex prior to Surgery. It thins the blood. I think they are trying to cover it up by saying she drank too much water.

Well in that case - guess it is good they cancelled. That said, that is f**ked

Incompetence... dam.

Really sorry to hear that. Hopefully they get her back in soon!

Man, no kidding! All 3 of you Freaks are hard to catch in this lifting game! Nice job Brian!

Shoot Mark, you're in that group I'm talking about. We consider you a FINAFLEX Freak. Might not be a rep(should be though) but you were given honorary status long ago. You earned that!

Heartfelt Thank You! I don't know what I'd do without your guys' inspiration! Long live the Freaks!

Yeah, I assume it's a decline to apply. You'd be an immediate plus to any team.
