Holy volume, man.

So big news
Went to see Terminator not bad felt clunky at time but overall good I was really impressed with the cgi young Arnold schwarzenegger

But that's not the good news, for the first time in over a month I can rotate my shoulder all over and not a clicking feeling I really hope this is permanent

That's awesome man.

Doesn't say buddy just has I pic of him at the top but I would assume so but u know what happens when you assume things lol

I'm super excited for tomorrow's sqauts as I now have a direction to go thanks to herder, lou and Rodja

Notes
Great day I love going in with a plan gives me the focus I need to succeed. Should have done a double on 620 as it was stupid easy. Last 2 sets called for heavy bands but coach said that would be too easy so grays took its place and he was right cause the last 2 set flew no hesitation at all

Deadlift
Pissed me off today wanted 525 for 2 but 505 was a struggle so stuck with that and tried to make it cleaner and faster, last set I held forever. Down set just to punish myself for being a bitch lol

That's it have a safe and fun 4th thanks for reading

Strong work today man. Have a fun day.

I don't know if it's the bigger Dia bar or how much back fat I got but I never get a line makes me sad just a very faint red line on my right shoulder

Interesting. I have a bar imprint across my entire back/rear delts from yesterday's work and it was only 455

Exact same; it's just on my right shoulder too lol! I have no idea how you can tolerate all the deadlifting after the squatting, or just the sheer volume in general. I feel so out of shape when I read your log!

I wonder if I mite not be getting my back tight enough but if that were the case I could never hold that bar there

Ha Hyde it does suck as u can see the sqaut volume took its took toll on my deadlift this week

I can't effectively squat and pull in the same day. One of them will have to be a joke. Not saying it wouldn't be worthwhile, but not prep-worthy. I could do like 4x5 on fronts after pulling or something, but not my backsquat.

It's a lot easier to pull big weight after you squat small weight. Lilly's best multi ply deadlift: 771. Best raw deadlift: 815. Both done without a deadlift suit, but in one he squatted 843, in the other he squatted 1008. Makes all the difference.

I hope that keeping it as a combo day it will make me a better lifter teach me to fight though the fatigue to some extent

Notes
Great day bench felt really good still slacking on keeping my shoulders pinned back. The missed rep just didn't keep lats tight and I drifted back

Shirt work just wanted to hit some volume. Did a few of the sets twice if I had a rep I didn't grove right

Floated my 3 rep on 390 think I could have gotten it easier if I did do so many before then called it at that triceps were getting weak

Zero tendinitis today even with the missed rep which tends to set it off and only got some minor shoulder discomfort on the last set. I call that a victory

Some decent work on the gaint sets good pump going

I may do and RPS meet on October 31 if I can find some money quick Jayson feels I have a shot at a 1600+ total

Ordered some unbreakable gear destroyer knee and wrist wraps hope they don't suck

That's it thanks for reading

Only thing holding your total back is you bench. Get a nice shirt and you could total near elite or elite.

Enjoy the Amish folk!

Have fun man.

My take from Shipshewana cookies for the crew 1 cinnamon roll 1 small pack of cookies for myself and 3 peanut butter fudge brownies it going to be tuff to stretch these bad boys out for a few workouts. Plus I got about 4 lbs in different cheeses

Great day
Squat felt light and mostly fast/easy really getting the hang of this beltless bracing. Worked on keeping my feet planted to the ground when setting up because Jayson mentioned he didn't like that I go on my toes to setup

Deadlift
This is a new Era for me no more going above 85% on ethier day after what herder and CWS said (notice herder was first there lol) it makes sense I hit my long saute after pr after months of sub max work

Going back to lunges I noticed some good size on my legs when I was doing them

Plus kettlebell swings make there return as well

Post workout cinnamon roll was great

Got my wraps today love the wrist wraps after trying them on knee wraps are stiff Holy crap lol

That's it thanks for reading

Strong work there, DMax.

Thanks guys really trying to put some strength in these gaint legs I already have

I was looking at the video I shot of my paused squats not to happy with the depth on them but it hard to really tell on videos but I'm going to work on it regardless could always get better

Just messing around, man. You know though.

I like to get a little deeper on my submaximal work because I know for a fact when the weight gets heavier (90+%) my body likes to stop me a little higher. But that's individual. Some people squat a little high in training (raw lifters too) and the meet/test day rolls around and they're good to go.

I agree. That's why I'm going to work on it I tend to be very tight so I'm going to add a few more Warmup sets they felt way better after the 3rd set I filmed

I squatted with questionable depth most of my last training cycle standing as wide as I could, but when I brought my feet in depth was easy and I had built my hips up to snuff because "Wide builds close but close won't build wide" (said in a Louie voice)

Submax pulls are just nice. Easier to recover from, and builds confidence, speed, and technique. Much easier to get your volume in that way too. Even when I dip my toes in the heavy stuff, I'm so ingrained to train light and with volume that I don't go overboard on the weight and I don't skimp on volume.

Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

CWS just had a video talking on paused squats with smelly saying that sometimes a little high is good as it keeps you tight, where sinking low some guys will actually relax in the hole making the lift easier than it should be. I thought it was interesting as I naturally want to pause a little high. Food for thought ma man.

Mhm. Active versus passive pause squat. When I low bar pause squat I pause at depth and keep all the tension. Builds strength and stability in the hole. High bar and fronts I pause low, hamstrings on calves. Utilizing them more like dead squats, building "raw squatting horsepower" as Greg Knuckols would say.

Sorry had to chime in. CWS is my MCM every day of the week.
