That's the bambee legs and elbows ******* method. I knew I could grind through it.


This was probably the most competitive strongman show I've done, though on the lighter side for typical shows. There was 15 competitors and most were solid 231's, with the top 3 all walking around at 250. There were also a couple seriously competitive lighter guys with me too.

Got my MRI diagnosis back, what's been causing me pain since February is a deep lateral femoral chondral fissure with adjacent bone marrow swelling on the posterior superior aspect.

Which means time off. Meniscus and ligaments all intact. Some tendinosis but that's meh.
 
Do what you need to stay healthy (as possible). You're going to be glad you were patient when you're still lifting in your later years.

Pretty good feeling bench session. Dialing in a flat footed form with legs out in front since I can't put pressure on the knee in a flexed position.

Yep that's the plan starting next week. You got a program in mind? I was just going to bench 2x and OHP 2x.
 
That's what I'd do with rotating intensities (RE, DE, ME, RE, DE, ME.....)

Plan was RE/ME, I don't find DE super productive. But might need it at that frequency.

Pretty damn good workout, nearly PRd on bench with the new setup, 4 reps would have been a PR. First 3 reps were cruising, then ate brick 6" off the chest on the 4th.

Edit: I think 255x3 is a PR, especially with a flatter arch and feet flat out in front to unload the knee, less leg drive. Intredasting.

Trained at CSA in Dublin, Jesse Burdick's gym, showed up after everyone's bench session. But Jesse gave me some pointers on bench, told me to move the grip out an inch to pinky on rings, Bench is feeling great, never doubled more than 255 I believe when I hit 295 in competition.
