Restarting

Looking for advice. For those of u who don't know my right arm is shorter than left arm. When I do any type of bench press movement with a barbell. Along with normal soreness associated with lifting after chest days the front of that shoulder is extremely painful. Any ideas/suggestions/prevention thoughts??
 
Try doing rear delt exercises to counter the shoulder pulling forward. People typically do 3-4 times the exercises that work the front delts as they do the rear. This helps me anyway. Also, I'll just say I get a lot more shoulder pain doing flat bench as opposed to inclines. It's probably a ROM issue for me, not saying yours is but something to think about. A lot of guys get away from flat benching barbell for this reason.

I actually do more rear work. I have impingement in the fronts pretty significant on both sides but this is a different type of pain than the normal impingement cramps. I do lots of cage press, horizontal press , face pulls then of course lots of raises and n/s e/w scap rotations for rounded out shoulder focus. My shoulders are my weakest body part. Maybe not weakest but most injury prone for sure. Even more thank back if Saturday. I do a lot of shrugs too.
 
Incline gets me more, too. I recently went through a few weeks where I could barely incline because of shoulder pain. Things that help me is:

Warmup with light weight high rep machine press, OHP, pull-Aparts, front plate raises, banded RC work.

Looking for a very useful video on shoulder pain/remedies. It's long, but will be well worth it.

Btw, decided to start taking a pre protein shake again because of the PB2. Choc protein, PB2, and almond milk is the bomb. Like a liquid Reece's PB Cup.

No way are fried potato cakes healthy or calorie beneficial in any way but they were delicious

Your calories have been relatively low. A little increase is no biggie.
 
Relaxing. Having a couple beers. Training and food/shake consumption will start getting stricter as of tomorrow. Not sure exactly what routine imma run over the next few weeks. Prolly decide in the gym tomorrow. By end of day tomorrow I'll have my full training plan up except for diet commitments. I'm still just eating how I am now for a few more days.

I tried that when I was in Myrtle ... didn't really like it. Now, Stone Brewery's their beers are top notch ... will be filling my parents trunk with those! lol
 
Beer. Must be poison. Or my vagina somehow got tangled in my lower back last night. All I've done all day is lay around hateful and hurting. Backs out. Way out. Bathroom type movements only out. Just now got up and got my phone. Sux. I started extra light and cautious to avoid this when I get back in the gym. Sux. SUX!!! Be at least another day possible 2. Fml

I have degenerative disc disease/spinal arthritis along with severe siatica and nerve damage. But lower back is trashed. Docs told me in 2010 I shouldn't work out. Stupid doctors. Spend 7 years at college so how smart can they be??

DDD really sucks man, I can definitely relate. Docs think I'm a walking miracle, and stupid, to push the weight I do with the back issues I have. Now, my pain management doc who happens to be a sports medicine doc also is proud of what I've been able do.
 
Question. Now I'm neither Martha Stewart not s scientist but do u think if I toss those bcaas in my blender. Then spread in out thin on my dehydrator shelves I can get the moisture out without ruining the whole tub?? Or u just think I should maybe sift the chunks out and the rest is fine??
 
Well today is wasted. Total garbage. I can't say for sure but if I had to put a number on my back is only feeling about 12.6% better today. Getting up and goin from any stationary situation still pretty sucky. Once I'm up and got a few steps under me I can ignore. Def not ready for me to go to the hugeatorium

Give it a shot, but only the clumps. Don't let it get hot though or it'll be worse.
 
Lots of PWO's do this. Just grind it up or break the chunks up and go by weight instead of scoop size. My Green Apple does this all the time and does the G8. It's no big deal.
 
My G8 is in clumps and I still take it.
 
On another more depressing note boredom has set in. I thought it would be a good idea to rough house in the living room with my 80 lb pitt. He won. I'm back on the couch motionless. Shyt!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the concern guys. Back is feeling pretty decent today. Headed into the gym. Nothing heavy. Nothing intense. Gotta just play it day by day. Focusing a lot on core. I should have some grub pics up today
 
Gym was almost pointless. Lots of rest between sets. Low weight. Low reps. No cardio. Back still spasms occasionally throughout the day but I'm ignoring it as much as possible.
 
Doesn't sound pointless to me at all. For the amount of time you were out, some slower sessions are expected. At least you aren't jumping in and hurting yourself. (That's save for dog wrastling)
 
Back is feeling normal today. Finally!! I'm gonna do a few rounds of mobility work throughout my morning when I can and try to hit some weights this afternoon hopefully my body will react a lil better. But today's training session will very much resemble yesterday's. Gotta crawl before I walk I suppose is the best plan
