Same here. I have a scale for food, but it doesn't go down to mg LOL.

Glad to see they're arriving. Sorry for misleading you about the scoop, I didn't know there wasn't one. It would have delayed the release further if we'd had to wait for some. I understand that 500mg is 1/8th of a teaspoon (and dosing needn't be too critically accurate).

I suggest going to a kitchen supply store, or somewhere like amazon or ebay, where you can pick up a small measuring spoon (or set of measuring spoons) that will measure in 1/8th of a teaspoon for a couple of bucks.
 
βAIBA is suited for use by:
- those trying to lose weight, in combination with a healthy diet and exercise regime
- those trying to reap the maximal metabolic benefits from their exercise regime
- those who may be temporarily unable to exercise through injury or illness

I would also suggest that BAIBA may be useful to those looking to limit fat gain on a 'bulking' diet, since it's anti-lipogenic through several pathways.

Yep, I already have some measuring spoons. After reading the label, I saw it is definitely doable :)

According to WikiGenes and the Human Metabolome Database high urinary excretion of beta amino isobutyric acid is a significant biomarker for patients with luekemia and non Hodgkins lymphoma. Is supraphysiological supplementation with dietary BAIBA going to increase urinary excretion rate in relation to this biomarker or will it be absorbed and act as purported? The biochemistry of the pyrimidine pathways and mutation is a bit beyond me and I've had to read through many articles and Wikipedia entries to make heads or tails of this research (i.e. Thymine catabolism, PGC-1A, and PPAR-alpha thermogenesis). These are the affirmative articles that sold me on the potential of supplementing BAIBA:

Wondering if anyone with an accurate scale has measured out the 1/8th teaspoon to compare? I have a plastic mg/g scale and using a gram scoop, it only registered just a little under 500mg...though my scale is quite old, think I bought it back in 1997ish....so...lol...

BAIBA excretion is increased when there's a high turnover in DNA, like with some cancers, because BAIBA is a product of thymine breakdown. It's a symptom, rather than a causative factor.
You're right, it's a very complicated subject to try and get your head around.
 
Thanks for the reply, that's what it seemed like, a by-product of vs. the causitive factor. I already picked up three containers and wanted to have a thorough understanding of how to maximize its' use. I imagine this is a fairly exotic product to manufacture, is the synthesis similar to bcaa's?
 
So I just measured it out. I have a 1g scooper from a bottle of creatinol o phosphate and it works out to one flat 1/2 teaspoon of COP powder using a regular baking measuring spoon. The BAIBA powder is slighty more dense, but the volume should work out roughly the same.

I haven't looked into the synthesis. I believe it produces a racemic mixture of S- and R- enantiomers though.
 
Does enantiopurity matter in regards to BAIBA effectiveness? I get that L configuration chiral molecules are generally recognized by ligand receptors wheras D configuration aren't. Same principle with (S)-(+) and (R)-(–) molecules?

I don't think it matters in this instance. The first experiments showing BAIBA's potential fat loss effects were done as a result of its being as a catabolite of thymine and thymine-based antiretroviral drugs, while the most recent research is based on it being a product of the exercise-induced breakdown of valine. Thymine predominantly produces the R-enantiomer, and valine the S-enantiomer, though there's some potential for interconversion. The BAIBA exogenously administered in both sets of experiments was, I think, a racemic mixture like ours.

This is the protocol I'm currently using. 1g with water and 1 dose (pill) of Pyroxamine in the morning before a protein shake and 1g at bedtime with 3mg Melatonin and 30mg Optizinc. So far, while lifting the thermogenic effect has been incredible! I'll post updates once the rain starts letting up in Colorado and I can get back to trail running.

Does this stuff taste like powdered creamer to anyone else or am I crazy?

That's a great read, thanks Henry! With about a week or so left of my epitome run, I tossed in 500mg/day of Baiba a few days ago...
 
I'm getting more of a faint smell of sunblock when I take it with plain water. In preworkout or protein powder it is completely indistinguishable.
 
Too early to tell, but, I believe there is increased thermogenesis. I have been taking Pyroxamine and really hadn't had the level of thermogenesis that people are raving about, and that is with a dosage of 3 pills per day. Once I started supplementing the BAIBA I started noticing higher skin temperature and sweating at rest, and significantly higher while lifting.

My current dosage is 2g per day split into a morning and evening serving, .025g per kg of bodyweight @ ~80.28kg/177.4lbs as of 5/28/15, bodyfat level unknown, rough estimate 10-12%.
 
I've been doing 500mg/day...nearly 2 weeks now (I think)...increased sweating while WO has been the most notable...along with increased thermogenesis, as noted above...have about a week or so left of epitome, but great combo that seems to work well together so far...
 
I honestly would be much more likely to buy if there was a scooper in it (yes srs) and there was some intro pricing due to the prod delay.
