The PR Thread

320x9 on squats

Not sure if I posted this yet. Hit a squat PR of 425 on tuesday. Up 23lbs since my last meet in December.

401.5 *2 on 3rd set, all time best PR for two at bodyweight of 180LB. Someone critique my form!

Hit the hole more aggressively first off. Your killing yourself with those super slow eccentrics.

Cheers for the advice dude, i tend to focus on TUT on my power days and am alot more swift in my eccentric portion on my hypertrophy day doing speed squats.

Should have attempted this weight in my second set, wouldn't have been as gasses and leaning forward as much..

IMO that is backwards thinking. You would want to increase the TUT (with longer eccentrics in this case) on your hypertrophy days and think more about moving the weight explosively on power days. When going max effort near higher percentages of your 1rm you don't want to be prolonging eccentrics and accumulating unnecessary fatigue when you should be attempting to save all you have for actually lifting the weight.

This makes sense.

Yap. When you're training for strength, no need to go crazy with the tut. Explode that bitch and put that weight up!

Thanks for the advice guys, ill see how stronger bursts ans less tut go next workout.

Look up Layne Norton's PHAT program. If you aren't doing that you may want to look into it. It incorporates hypertrophy/power days and will probably provide you with a nice guidance layout with some info on this type of thing. Could be right up your alley.

I envisage my numbers to go up quite a bit, I am moving 170kg for 5 * 3 under that tempo. Will report back with an updated video in a few weeks..

Pulled 545 for a double at bodyweight of 183. Took 8 months off last year and it was the first time I've done any doubles/singles since coming back. Never quite made it to 600, but I'm growing and the numbers keep climbing! I'm into this thread.

Excellent! I will keep my eye out. Great idea. Thanks :) I beat 3 1rm's last week :)

Huge dead lift PR for me today. My previous was 410x3 (last week), and beat it with 415x5.

Squat PR for me this morning. 440x3. Slowly and steadily working on the quest to 500.

Whomever nominated me for the 1RM award, thank you.

Monday's squat session I got 315x12 reps. Felt amazing and terrible at the same time and I'm starting to see how a years work on them can be humbling.

Tuesday hit 315x4 on incline! Seriously don't even see how it was possible but more than a good day alone.

Hope everyone is still getting it in and crushing their maxes!

I hit 225lbs on bb bench press today for 5 reps at 174 body weight. This is the best I've ever done. Full reps, touch and go off the chest and full extension on the top. I was pretty happy.

275 x 6 squats. Not my PR by weight but I've only ever hit 3 reps at 275.

Rep PRs are important, too! Definite progress.

Set out to do some triples and felt I had more in the tank. Set two I only hit 3 reps though but I'll still take it as a win.

Squat PR of 260 for 1 (5lb increase) and Deadlift PR of 375 for 1 (20lb increase). BW is 177lbs.

I hit 275 for 20 reps yesterday after a 450 1rm. Yay squats

So I thought I should post my new deadlift PR of 545! At 195lb bodyweight! I posted when I hit 500 a few months ago on this thread! Really feeling great pulling hopefully I'll be posting a 600lb pull in another few months!

Check it out!

I'm not happy with my left knee going in a bit at the start of the pull but I'll fix it

Happy Easter guys!

Stuff fella

Just hit a PR today on incline bench. 300 1RM. I hadnt been able to get above 275 forever. Decided to do incline 1st today instead of flat.

Wow, you folks are some monsters. Great lifts in here.

My squat has been going up drastically recently. Hit 495 with SBDs and a belt and 515 with wraps and belt. Tried to post a video but I don't have enough posts on the site yet :( hopefully I'll get one up soon on this thread!

Keep up the good work fellas! Your hard work inspires me!

Why my calves are stupid big.: Invalid Link Removed

Pr today. 630 calf raises. This is my warm up set.

Seven 45 plates. #teamcalvesonly.
Sadly my strongest body part. Excuse me being 6'5 and making the whole thing look tiny.

Awesome! Lol, I only do calf raises when I'm too lazy to do other workouts. ????

5 sets of them on one of my leg days. Not much work. Idk why but they seem to be over developed on me.

Let's compare calves!!!! I had a pretty good pump yesterday!!!! ???

Invalid Link Removed Picture was too large. I am also blessed with long calves as well

Wow, they are pretty developed. Most guys have none.

My mom says I look horrible in heels. ??
