Yeah, a strength athlete such as myself would never want to use the adductor & abductor machines to help warm anything up to avoid injury before squatting or pulling, as part of a larger comprehensive warmup. And I'd certainly never want to use it to pump some nourishing blood into a strained adductor from said deadlifting. No, I definitely want to be doing lateral lunges at all times, even when injured. My knees definitely need the extraneous punishment I'd have saved if I just used the machine. I know the author is trying to keep people from wasting their time or getting hurt, but there are applications for everything. Just another bullsh*t fitness article churned out to make a buck.
