Dmax's pursuit for power & performance

Ask your wife one thing she can do to improve her diet. When she gives you that one thing have it be her goal to stick with that (something simple and most people generally know what they should do). Once she masters that move to a new thing (ask again). And then make that new one the goal. This gets her to buy in by her recommending the change and you help support that decision and make it easier for her. That is my approach with newbies to diet. :)

Training partner Wes hit a 800lbs squat 510 bench 570 deadlift at 165 in gear just awsome 1880 total

That's awesome. I got a guy doing the ply from my gym, too. I wonder how he did now that you said this. Anyways, at your diet and strength rate that'd be you in 2 months
 
Wes is a mini tank dude and 3" shorter then me I would never make it. I've come to terms that I probably will never get too much lighter and I'm OK with that but I can get a lot stronger

Nah, nothing yet. I know he really wanted to take back the 198 multiply title...but I remember him talking about being worried about his cut far away from home as he really depletes and does IVs and **** to get back up.

Strong day all squat reps really focused on the glutes and could really tell a different weight shot up when did it right
Was going to hit 405 double but some reason said I got 415 it was probably the best one got the squeeze in and it flew up
Pauses were a lot better this week same as stated before focused on glutes

Pretty pleased with my 500 on that crappy bar 405s were taxing for sure very slow on the way down on each rep

Nice job man. I notice your volume is up there. Might be a good time to enter a strength phase then back to volume after that.
 
Thanks guys was nice to have another one of these days this week. Some times it nice to go to the commercial gym too just because I don't have time to wrap so I push myself in other ways also I don't always get told to put my belt on lol

This is my wife, too.

It happens with everyone but really bad with women! Guys most of the time can shed 10lbs in the first week or two- even if it's water...a newbie doesn't think or really care where it's coming from. Where as women-we may loose
2lbs in the first 1-2 weeks and then nothing for a month or even gain 5 lbs due to that time of the month!

You train hard as hell, dmax. So shut up. What I think you're getting at is you need to plan / structure your programming a bit better.

I agree DMAX! You're a beast and you train hard!! The structure will just help you plan things out better.
 
So Jayson's day did not go as planned squat 1065 and 785 bench 660 deadlift was having knee trouble.. On a worse note Brian who was on a training high went to help and was just sliding the bar over for Jayson to center it up on bench and tore his bicep so he is screwed for a while.

Turned a bad around imo dropped the weight down got my **** straight every rep of 205 was perfect and fast and yes I know it's light for what I've done but I was told something today "u got to own 205 before u can own 315" sorta pissed me off at the moment but it's true. Wes the mini tank told me to do 25 so I did it mean while he did 40 the bastard lol

So after talking to them for a bit I'll be starting a program of some sort whether it 5-3-1 or something for bench going to read a bunch

Jayson really looked like he was hurting. Could hardly walk from what I saw. And still moved giant weights.
 
Yea still did great with the handicap. Wes told me that he thought he got screwed on his 1100 squat attempt. He wasn't at the gym today so I haven't gotten to talk to him personally about
 
That plate loaded shoulder press has my number. Not a fan.
 
So my wife is sitting here watch the video of Brian's bicep tear. She's like he literally was doing nothing. I said I know that makes it that much worse I think

As far as your bench sesh, some days uou just dont have it. For myself ill take an extra 30min on the bench warming up with 135 or 185 till i feel perfect and on point before going up. There were sessions were i was hurting and benched the bar 5 sets, 95 5 sets and 135 5 sets before finally going up.
 
So Brian has surgery tomorrow torn tendon sucks big time he had a meet planned for the end of the month in Grand Rapids and was going to add some serous lbs to his total I think feel really bad for him

So not sure what was up today but was in a funk all day so I slept a lot lol Did some Stretching because I was feeling stiff and made salmon and fresh grilled green beans with olive oil for dinner for the wife and i

Tomorrow is lower session depending how I feel when I wake up may take it on the light side we'll see

Edit: wife is doing a trial run of her breakfast smoothy in the magic bullet probably one of the funniest things to watch ever told her she was going to lose 5 lbs before it gets done blending lol

Sorta crappy day squats felt heavy don't think I was fully recovered plus lower back and gracilis were tight. I did manage to put in some good work thou

Deficits were slow and I kept miss bracing making me a bit light headed finally did some self talk and pulled the last set together felt good and had some speed finally

Didn't get a whole lot on squats so hit leg press hard for reps

BSS death set sucked only did like 3 sec holds and my legs want to cramp up
