Any tips for speed of the Floor, my lock is down pat, but once i get to a certain weight my speed is 1/3 what it should be. any good assistant exercise you would recommend?

Video helps with questions like this.

This...

There is a plethora of supplemental/accessory movements you could use:

Block pulls
Pause deadlifts
Deficit deads
Pin deads
Weak stance deads
Banded/reverse band deads
Chained deads

But, I'm assuming since you're slow from breaking the ground, deficits would be a good option.

ok thanks guys, i dead tomorrow then ill upload a video. i have been doing pause deadlifts. ill get back to you guys soon, thanks for the tips

IME, trouble breaking the floor comes more so from a lack of rigidity in the body and bracing than a physical weakness. Video will definitely tell the story.

Not to be Capt Obvious, but it took myself a while to master, but an optimal stance width/angle and maximal tension will be your biggest difference.

Don't know if you've seen the deadlift instruction video from Richard Hawthorne but in it he says he's always slow off the floor, and also that everyone should do that. Rather than 'grip and rip' he talks about force production, which helps a lot with tightness in my experience. It's slower but it feels easier if that makes sense.

Having trouble uploading the video i will have it up by tonight. its around 75-80% of my max some lady walked in front of my phone while i was recording so reps got cut out but thanks for all the tips. video will be up soon

I agree with this as a big possibility.

Tabascoonall, do you do any core work?
Do you wear a belt?

youtube finally let me upload, so here it is

I have been focusing a lot on breathing, and when to breath between reps

Your shins should be vertical before you start to pull. Here's that video I mentioned, you may find it helpful.

Your setup is fine. The only issue I see is not pulling towards your hips once the floor is broken.

Yeah, that's what I mean. With your center of gravity, you'll have to start pulling towards you sooner in the motion.
